I am a horrible person because I think it's okay to displace anger sometimes. Who can you be mad at? God? Yourself? Your XH? the doctors? NO! None of those have done anything to make this happen and have only tried to make things better. She on the other hand is not 100% about making your little man feel 100%. While I don't think you should key her car or set her shoes on fire, I don't think that it's wrong of you to feel annoyed at people who don't "walk the walk" so to say.

You've got some major emotions going on right on, if you bottle them all you'll pop. It's not effective or efficient to take it out on strangers, XH, or the docs, but I don't think it'll kill XGF to be put in her place. (you could probably take it out on God, I'm thinking he'll understand, but you'll feel guilty later - trust me on that one, okay.)

You are a better woman than I am. I'd have told her she could call herself Joe-Joe's stepmom when she became his stepmom. But I'm horribly petty about family.

I wanted to tell her that H20 and wish I had when Stewart saw her referred as "stepmom" and was baffled by it. Ah well. I have to pick my battles, right?

Glad to hear he's doing better! Don't worry about possible displaced anger on GF. You are concentrating on the most important person and his health. Anything else is second place for now. Good thoughts and prayers continuing for you and Joseph and your other sons!

Thursday update

He is GREAT today. Eating. Playing. Talkative. Smilie. Big big hug and kiss for me when I got here. Energetic. Even getting out of bed to rummage (for the very first time) through the basket of toys and such that y'all have provided him with. Days like this it is hard to remember how ill he is. He's so cheerful today.

That blanket has brought more comfort than you know. I even got to sleep under it one night up here

but by morning he realized he was without it and reclaimed it again.

Thank you! We are far from out of the woods. But I am certainly enjoying this comparatively less stressful time than that first week when he was on death's door

Sheri, I just read Joe-Joe's journal and learned of Lynda's passing. I am so, so sorry sweetie. That is too much, too much for you to have to deal with.
