Jannybunny, I am sorry for your loss. I do know how you feel; I've been there several times and will have to go through it several times more. Their unconditional love and companionship is just too great not to experience.

I am sorry you lost a fur buddy. Animals bring such great joy into our lives and the sorrow is equally as great when they leave.

oh, I am so sorry !! When I lost my best friend 2 yrs ago it took me months to even think about him without crying. Animals give unconditional love.

The vet called today. He had done an autopsy. He said something broke loose in Mel, whether it was a blood clot or not, he couldn't tell. The vet said it happened so fast that Mel would not have felt a thing and therefore did not suffer.

Thank you again to everyone for all your kind words and thoughts. They really helped.
