It's so hard to lose the ones we love - including our fur-babies. It's okay to be sad. I still cry now and then over my Dixie that I lost nearly a year ago.

I'm so sorry! My dog Barkly passed away a few weeks ago. It's never easy losing a pet. At least he was with you when he passed.

Oh, Janny...that is so tragic. Mel was just a baby at 10. I am so sad for you. Will your vet be examining him? I hope whatever it was that caused his young passing was not at all uncomfortable for him. I'm thankful that he died with the people he loved right with him.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words. I'm still in shock. Mel wasn't sick or anything. In fact, he had been running around and purring. My dh is taking Mel to the vet now and maybe we'll have some answers. Thank you all for being here.
