A special thank you, I'm touched by your kindess

Several days ago Splenda posted a request asking for positive thoughts and prayers for her friend Scott. Scott was my dear husband.

In late October he was diagnosed with cancer. We immediately began an aggressive fight in hopes to control the cancer. Sadly, we did not win.

We were married on 12/10 and admitted to the hospital on 12/11. After two long weeks in the ICU his battle ended yesterday on Christmas Day. He fought all the way to the end and never lost his determination or stubborn ways. I'm so proud to have been his wife, even if it was only for two weeks. I know he's in a better place now but I wish his "better place" were still to be here with me.

Thank you very much for your positive thoughts and prayers. I haven't had a chance to read through the entire thread but I plan to do so over the next few days. Thank you very much, I'll never forget the kindness of friends on the PG.

Oh, Cali...my heart is breaking for you. It's so hard for me to put into words how much I wish I could take away some of the heartache I know you are enduring. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to make things better for you. You and Scott have never been very far from my thoughts and always in my heart. This will not change any time soon.

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Today is the 9th anniversary of my mother's passing away. I don't know how it is for everyone, but for me it never got easier, it just became bearable. If that makes sense.

I know exactly how you feel ~ I know she is in a better place and no longer in pain, but I'm selfish, I want her here.

I'm glad that you did get to be his wife if only for two weeks ~ cherish your memories.
