I'm stunned by your news. I've been in and out of the board and saw the prayer thread for CaliforniaGirl (that her husband died).....I thought that it couldn't be the same CaliforniaGirl that just got married!

I'm speechless as I have found out it is indeed our CaliforniaGirl.

What an amazing story. I'm so sorry for the sadness you must be feeling, but how wonderful that you did get married, and how happy you must have made your husband before he left this world.

I have no idea what to say. My heart is broken for you.

Susan...I am so, so sorry that I am so late in offering you support and prayer. I am not on the board much anymore and when I am, I tend to just scan the posts. It wasn't until tonight that I finally got to open this thread.

I am so sorry for your loss. You were so lucky to have found each other. I am glad you got to get married, and that you were there to support your husband when he was going through the toughest fight of his life - as I am sure he is with you now while you are struggling also.

I pray that you begin to heal and that the process isn't painful. Just remember the time that you did have with Scott and know that he will always be with you.

Thanks Chassie - its been a tough day today. I'm actually going to fly back home tomorrow, I haven't been there in over 3 weeks. I'm hoping I'm ready to be around our things again and in our home.

Scott was a very good man and a great husband - even if we were only married for a short time - we had been together for a few years and I feel lucky to have been his wife.

I hope you and your family are doing ok.
