Welcome everyone to the “Century Club New Year, New You Challenge”

I am glad you all have taken to plunge into this challenge to feel and look better by challenging yourself to be the best you can be. This challenge is for you, do the best you can do. The purpose behind this challenge is to be the best you that you can be in 12 weeks! To be accountable for your choices and decisions, to have a close team of supportive friends to encourage, uplift and support each other on our journey. I know that you all want to succeed, and I know that all of you can.
As we begin this challenge be sure you know what team you are on. Every team has a team leader. Your team leader will be your go to person if you have questions. Your team leader is responsible for keeping record of your stats and will be collecting them on the due dates.

Chest (under bust)

Calf

Your Pictures: Some of us do not own a digital camera, that is OK, you can still take you pictures with a regular camera and have them put onto a disk when you have the developed. The best way to see your progress is in pictures, the best way to see this is to wear workout wear that is "tight". Some have worn tight fitting shorts and a sports bra. Some of us have gone in bra and panties.... The more revealing the better. You will be happy you did it at the end of the challenge. Believe me!!
OUR PICTURE BB IS PRIVATE, SO ONLY THOES OF US WHO ARE IN THE CHALLENGE CAN VIEW THEM!!
I know that for some of us it is very difficult to just take the picture let alone post them, so because I strongly encourage EVERYONE to take their pictures I will leave it up to you if you want to post them in out Private BB. After all the ultimate prize in this challenge is to see your hard work with your own eyes, you will see the difference you made in yourself!!

Now for a little about myself for those who are new to the team.

My name is Nikki and I am 49 years old, married with a 6 year old DD who just happens to have Autism.
I started low-carb dieting in Jan 2004, though I have to admit I have also fallen of the wagon more than once. I call myself a carbaholic.. I started by doing Atkins, but I have recently switched to South Beach.

Personally I don't care which low carb diet plan you use. Just be true to the one you pick. Though if like me you have moments of weakness please don't be afraid to post or think you will be made to feel unwanted. That is not what Delta is about. If you fall off the wagon there will be plenty of willing hands grasping to pull you back on. So please never be too proud to ask for help.

OK that's enough for now, I'm not one for long flowery speaches, but I am one for trying to give all my fellow Delta team members individual encouragement or tough love if and when neccessary. OH and if you go missing for a while I will come after you.just to check and make sure everything is allright.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you all, and if possible could everyone post up a quick introduction about themselves so that we can all get to know each other.

Ok, I'm raring and ready to go today!

Talked to DBF over the weekend and he has agreed to LC with me (well, at least when he's around me). He understands now that it's too hard watching him eat whatever while I'm trying not to.

Nikki - I'll get you my starting weight/measurements first thing tomorrow morning. I'll measure tonight - no time this morning

Hi,

I'm new to Delta and looking forwards to getting to know you all,, and offering support if I can.

My name is Lorraine, I'm 43 yrs young and a SAHM of 2 teenage boys.
I live in the UK like Nikki and over the last couple of months she and I have become good friends.
And I know she'll be a great leader!!

I'm really looking forwards to this challenge as I've got off track a bit lately and have been stalled for ages.

Good Morning everyone I am being lazy Today I did not get up until Noon then I did do some weights before My Shower.
My Plan for Today is do some upper Body work already done run errands this afternoon then go to the Gym around 6 and work the Machines then use the Pool for Cardio.

I will do Pictures and measurements later tonight when I return from the Gym. I will check back in later.

Quiggley: You are putting me to shame, I planned on doing some gym work today but I had an attack of being bone idle.
When will I learn that I can't keep saying I'll do more tomorrow to make up for today because in reality I never ever do.

Bree: Hi and welcome onto the thread. If you don't talk much during the week does this mean you're mainly on line evenings and weekends? Weekends have usually been a lot quieter than the weekdays, maybe you can liven us all up on Saturdays and Sundays?

No Patti I don't have your stats as I'm starting from scratch. Christian has tried valiently to help me access his spreadsheets with the old information on,but he was using

excel which I don't have, then he let me have a link to another programme that would help me access the information but DH is loathe to let me download it. And lets face it girls we all know what men in general can be like if they get an idea in their heads!

Well, I took some photos but they suck. My camera is crappy. At least I TOOK them this time. I also measured my arms and such. See? I'm serious this go around!!

Do I post them here? I can, it doesn't bother me any. I can't find where we're supposed to send them anywayz. I didn't take them in my undies.. it was bad enough that my gal friend took them with all 4 kids as an audience.

Okay, well birdofplay and I will have to get you our measurements tomorrow. I thought we had a measuring tape, but all I can find is a metal one and that just doesn't work. We moved a couple of months ago and I haven't found most things yet.

Birdofplay is my husband, and he probably won't post here much. We're re-starting today, and even though we both are sick, we're really excited about the challenge and jumping right in.

Our starting weights are 273 (me) and 245.5 (him). Where should I post/send the pictures?

Chewtoy and Birdofplay. Thank you for your start weights. Could you also send me your start measurements please. I think that It's going to work well for you both as you can encourage each other through these 12 weeks. Oh and Chewtoy tell that DH of yours that although the majority of us here are women we don't bite and I'm sure Christian (Division56) would like some male support on occasions.
Your pictures should be posted onto the bootcamp pictures thread. If you need help in posting them, send them to Cheri her e.mail is posted at the beginning of the thread.

Stilltryin: To my Carbaddict buddie. Here's to 12 weeks of optimum effort for us both. We will stay away from those bad carbs that make us feel so bad physically and mentally. Just take it one mouthful at a time and you will succeed.

I didn't see the picture one until this morning, I still don't see just where we're supposed to post these things. In any case, perhaps Cheri can move them at one point.

Are we already working this thing? or is it starting on the 1st?


Grub today:

Ground Flax w/ 2 pks splenda and a dab of cinnamon.
1 1/2cups of coffee mmmm (I'm working on weening myself off coffee)

lunch is: 1 cup salad, beef tips w/mushrooms and sprinkled with cheese with 2 tbsp Ranch w/bacon dressing.

snack: SF Jello (bannana strawberry)

Dinner: Hamburger w/mushrooms, 1 cup salad.

and 8 cups of water.


Oh.. and GOOOOOOOD MOOOOOOOOORNIN' !!!!
