Howdy--

Sorry I didn't see this, sooner! I was with Delta the last go-round, and will be this time, as well. Considering I actually live on the edge of the Delta and all... Welcome to the new folks among us; you may be new here, but I sure do see some familiar and welcome faces!

Nikki, I'm gonna use the end measurements/weight from the last go-round, and will PM those to you in a couple of minutes. I'm also gonna use the pics as the start for this one. I've put on a few pounds of water weight (TOM) but am not going to track that.

I got my cardio in this morning and will go back for lifting this afternoon. My schedule is hellish right now, so I may not check in much, but the good thing about it is that I'll be able to do more cardio than I've been doing recently. That's a *very* good thing!

Have a great day, everyone. I'm looking forward to this new challenge!

Hello everyone!

Made it through yesterday - stayed legal but ate a lot of food and too late at night - I had the munchies. Down 1 lb. this morning only, but that's to be expected with the late night munching.

Talked to DBF and he's starting back to LC with me - well, at least when he's around me. But, for lunch yesterday he did have 2 chicken breast and a Diet Coke (he eats a McDonalds most every day). Very proud of him so far.

I'm still here TLW but my name isn't on the list .

Anyway, I haven't been online much cuz DBF is laid off and likes my full attention when he's home. I'll check back in a day or two to see how everyone is doin'.

Hi Delta,

I haven't been on for a few days. Tomorrow is weigh in day for me. I only do this on the first of the month and will be sure to post since I have to make a special trip to get to where the scale is housed. I threw my scale out 4 years ago because I didn't want to be possessed by the scale.

When I weigh in, I will also measure myself and send off the numbers to whoever is supposed to get them.

I was in Jig group before and look forward to meeting all of you. I am 56 and am just finishing up my fourth year with controlled carb eating. I have two adults children, a son, 28, who lives in Wyoming, and a daughter, 26, who is nearby. Both have serious partners and my son is getting married in Kansas in the spring. DD is in a venture with her BF in a Lebanese restaurant. Oddly enough, both my children have partners who love to cook. I guess we know where our priorities are.

About a year ago, I added a 12 step program to my low carb plan and it has helped tremendously in giving me the extra help I needed to stay focused. Today I write my food plan down on paper each day, call it into my sponsor, and weigh my meals on my digital kitchen scale without exception. I don't eat between meals except for water, tea, coffee or diet soda. This is the most important thing I do each day because it is one area of my life that I can count on myself not to waiver. I am learning that I can trust myself and as a result am venturing out into other areas.

Have a good day.

Well folks things are looking up for me. I went to buy a new bra this morning and I'm measuring up 2" under the boobs lower than the last time I was measured by the same shop assistant! Though DH was quite happy because my bust now measures an inch larger!

Thanks LTFS, Qiggley ChewToy and BirdofPlay for your stats. They have been duly logged onto the spreadsheet.

Melody Vax: I will contact Tracy and ask for you to be officially entered into Delta. How you came to be missed off I don't know.

MaryMary: Welcome to Delta, I am your team leader so your stats come to me either via Pm or on this thread or you can contact me via my e.mail jetblack1954@yahoo.co.uk.
I will post more later, but right now I have a mountain of washing to get through.

Hi Everyone! Wow, alot of new people in our little group this time around. to all the new members.

Nikki, I have my measurements and will email them to you today. I have been offline a few days because my hubby was off from work. We finished up our shopping and did all our outside decorations for xmas. Very cold outside, but we still had fun.

It was a long holiday weekend, but I didn't do to bad. I've started journaling, so hopefully that will help me stay on track better this time around.

Hope you all have a great day!!

Hello fellow Deltas, new arrivals and returning ones! We are on day three so far, and I have also started Body For Life which is a weight lifting/cardio program and my arms are really feeling it today

I'll get my meaurements in .. sometime... I'm not in this for the meaurements per se, just the camaradiere and support.

I do have photos and will get around to posting those as well

Think happy thoughts for me as, long story short, around christmas time dh will be leaving to go to his folks house in Kansas *we are in Texas, 6 yrs so far* the tuesday b4 and coming back the tuesday after christmas and I will be spending my 3rd christmas here with the dogs. Too expensive to board them for a week and I get so stressed being cooped up with the whole family for that long that it is best that I stay here!

There has been a lot of posting about toxic relationships on the playground lately, and I think that I am a toxic person. I am not sure what to do about it, but I seem to be dropping friends like flies and I am bewildered

Anyway, nice to meet you!

Pat

Hey everyone,

I bought my recumbent exercise bike last night! I did my second workout this morning.

I think this is the perfect cardio workout for me.

Here are my stats for this morning.

60 minutes
11.8 miles
735 calories burned

Jormy - Maybe you should see a talk therapist. I have seen one for a year, and they help you work out issues. Sometimes you don't even know why you feel terrible, until you dig down and get introspective. Best of luck!

Hello everyone!

Feeling great this morning - down another 3 lbs. so that make 4 since starting back Monday. I was even a good girl last night at the bar. Had a couple drinks and some almonds while the others ate pizza.

Only have to work until 2:00 today because I have my dermatologist appt. today at 3:00 and then some shopping to do. My sister and brothers don't want to exchange gifts this year due to money issues so I'm going to make them Christmas goodies - it should be fun. Just hoping I don't dip into them while making them!

Hi everyone,

Today, I officially joined ONEDERLAND. It has been 22 years since I have been to onederland. Definitely, a day to rejoice. My promise to myself is a full body massage and facial and I am making the appointment today. I might even get a pedicure and manicure. What the heck! You only live once.

I am staying in today. Just finished peeling and cutting up a bag of turnip fries for dinner tonight. They are definitely one of my favorites.

Well, I want to visit a few other threads and spread the good news.

Have a good one.

Mary!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!

How absolutely marvelous for you to be in Onederland! I bet it feels great!

I did my lifting last night and swam this morning. I'll be back in for another lifting session tonight. I'm up in water *badly* right now; I can feel it, and I really hate it. But it's also normal for me, so I'm gonna try not to stress over it.

Christian, I'd really love to get my hands on a recumbent bike for here at home. There are lots of times when I'd love to be able to jump on it for a few minutes, when I know I can't get to the gym. Good for you!

I'm sure others will agree with me--the challenge is whatever you want or need it to be for you personally.

Paula: You're doing so well, I'm very proud of you. Just keep taking it day by day. 4lb is awesome. You go girl.

Lorraine: I knew you could do it if you really wanted to. Look how easily you have slipped back into ketosis. Goal for you is no longer a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. It is within your grasp. I predict that you will reach goal by the end of these 12 weeks if you stay true to your WOL.

Christian: OK I'm jealous, I have to admit that. I would love to have a recumbent exercise bike, but even if I could afford it, I'd have no where to put it or even store it So I will stick to my walks by the canal, and in the woods or climb up our local hill.

LTFS: I agree the challenge is whatever you want or need it to be for you personally. You have worded that perfectly.

Jormy: PM coming your way.
