IS this the diet?

Eat only proteins. Drink tons of water (as usual).
Eggs are ok?
Limit mayo/dressings?
Don't have more than 5 carbs?

And can u do this more than 3 days?
When u start eating more carbs- do u introduce them slowly or does it matter?

Sorry so many questions yall. This is new 2 me.

I know what you mean, but mine was self-inflicted...for years I would go when I got up each morning, and not go again until I got home about 12 hrs later. No good excuse...I'm just like a little kid...I don't want to stop what I'm doing to go to the bathroom, so I just hold it until I'm dancing! That's probably why I have the water retention problems now...I've probably fried my bladder and kidneys!!!

Yep, that's pretty much it. The 5 carbs would be the "accidental" carbs ... don't purposely find something with 5 carbs (the trick being that accidental carbs are most like very low calorie) ... DON'T sneak a "3 net carb" LC bar, LOL!

Yes, more than 3 days is fine. Be sure to take a Centrum type vitamin each day.

Absolutely introduce your carbs slowly when you begin. Try a SMALL salad at lunch, another at dinner type of thing. Slowly work your way up to however fast/slow you want to lose.

THF, the cereal is padlocked, right? Congrats on 3.5 overnight pounds!!!

Kimmer how long did you stay on the meat fast? I would like to try to stay on it til about 10 pounds from goal. Not sure if that is a good idea though.

So I guess I shouldn't ditch the eggs w/mayo in favor of a sf Red Bull? I really, really find hardboiled eggs disgusting, but I really, really love an occasional afternoon red bull!

Hey, everyone...please don't slam Kimmer with pm's asking if sf Red Bull is ok on this...IT's NOT, it's just my poor attempt at humor after a long, irritating day!!!

Example:
breakfast
1 whole hard boiled egg + one extra white (my dog gets the yolk as a treat )
2 cups coffee with splenda

Lunch
3-4 oz lean pork chop

dinner

4-6oz salmon

drinks
100+oz water
3-4 diet vanilla cokes
2 diet mountain dews

exercise 30 minutes bike, 6hours exterior fence/deck painting

Ketosis trace, appetite NONE!

THANKYOU KIMMER

Heather

JackieO....go to the challenge threads and find the one for this weeks Stillman's challenge. Find Hunni's post and she has the rules listed there. Just click on the link. Don't use the recipe one. There isn't much out there in the way of info for Stillman's but if you have any particular questions you can ask me or pm me. I have the original Stillman's book and I also have the Quick Inches off book.

THF....technically eggs have .6 carbs each.... it's .3 for the white and .3 for the yolk.

Don't worry about how many eggs you are eating. They are the perfect food! When I did stillmans back in March I was eating 6 fried eggs a day with 6 slices of canadian bacon and 6 slices of fat free cheese.....that was mainly my menu for the one week and I lost 14.5 pounds doing that. I also drank as much diet decaf pepsi and water as I could stand.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!

Why did she do it, why did she do it?????????????

A good friend sent over some take-out for me special for my diet. Yippee, smoked turkey, beef pastrami, gee thanks! But what was that at the end? A vegetable quiche-type thing? Normally these things are made with vegetables and eggs, which is fine, but SOMETIMES they add flour. I don't know how this was made, and I know I'm not supposed to eat veggies on this challenge, but I ATE IT. WAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!! Is this cheating???

My goodness, all day long I was an angel - heck, I've been an angel for almost three weeks now - but now I might have cheated. What if they put in flour??? I'm sunk!!!

Someone help me, I want to cry.... I want to put a crying sad smilie here, but none look pathetic enough, and none have tears...

You can't UNeat it... so just move forward, forget about it, and keep eating the way you have been for 3 weeks. That's all you can do. Drink lots of water, too!

I feel better this morning. I was thinking it over and even if they did add flour, it usually is very little I doubt the whole piece had more than 20 carbs in it - and luckily I hadn't had any carbs yet for the day, so I should have been over for induction levels.

brr9270....I would wait on the pork rinds. The don't have carbs but are extremelly high in fat. Just stick to protein for now.

Well, today starts day 4 for me and I am down 10.5 pounds! Can't wait to call my doc next week and let him know the great results!

Hope you all have a great day!

Today is day 4 for me and as of this morning I'm down 3.5 lbs. Doesnt sound like as much as some of you but considering I haven't budged in weeks I'm thrilled. I'm going out for lunch today so I'll have a small salad with some protein but other than that I'm sticking with this today and tomorrow and then will have a few carbs over the weekend - and right back at it Monday. Maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to lose 4.4 more lbs by Memorial Day and reach my 1st goal of 135.

KIMMER.....YOU'RE MY HERO!!!!

This is day 4 for me, and I'm also down 4 lbs as of this morning. Let's hope this trend continues. I'm staying on until next thurs and then s-l-o-w-l-y adding in veggies. I don't want any of this weight back. I was so tired of bouncing between 201 and 204.

This is day 2 for me and it's just awesome! No hunger, no problems, nothing and my keto stick was almost "small" last night! I've been at "trace" for so long I was wondering if I got a defective batch of sticks.

I also discovered BLACK COFFEE. I don't necessarily love it, but it IS something I could do, surprisingly. Very surprisingly.

Today is almost a rehash of yesterday, dietwise. I'm cutting back the mayo from 4T to 2T and voila, I saved a carb.

What's best is that I feel so much better- none of that cruddy body-switching-gears feeling I was warned about. Maybe that'll come today instead (I hope not!)

Have a great day everyone!

Wow, everyone is doing fantastic!

This is the morning of my 2nd day. Maybe it's in my head (?), but my waist seems to have lost inches in just one day. I've also lost 3 pounds!

I did not wake up hungry (FOR ONCE)... This is SO amazing, as my stomach is always VERY hungry first thing in the morning.

Congrats and best wishes to everyone for continued success! We're doing GREAT!

ok. you have all convinced me. I've been 163-165 since February, and before that I was 166-167 since November. I'm going to give this a shot starting tomorrow morning and see what happens. I'm really very close to where I want to be, but my bod just isn't letting it happen I think I will miss my veg, but I'll get over it.

FathinLC - Wow! 3 pounds after one day! That's wonderful.

Kathy65 - I drank my coffee with light cream this morning. I'm going to have to give black coffee a try. I can't wait to not feel hungry at all! That will probably come on day 2 for me....usually does.

Looking forward to this experiment!

Day three for me. I feel better - but still no loss in weight. I don't have cravings - I am drinking tons of water and Diet Coke. My carbs have been extremely low along with calories. Yesterday I cut back on mayo to almost zilch. But, why am I not losing? My clothes fit a teeny tiny bit better. But, no significant loss. Am I metabolically resistant? I don't have but about 7 lbs. to goal - how am I ever going to lose

I am really trying - exercising every other day, etc. Not weight training but, cardio for 30 minutes. I am ready to quit the exercise maybe that's why I can not get below 132.

Anyway, I will continue because my appetite is diminishing. Maybe I was never really over on carbs. I don't know

A quick question...

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but I don't want to assume anything with this WOE.... lol I'd rather ask for confirmation.

We had our pig butchered, and the butcher took care of packaging the different cuts. I would really like to fry up some sausage patties, though don't know if these are ok to eat. I would think that it is better then what you would buy at the grocery store (ie. no hidden sugars or fillers). Is this a safe assumtion? Are these ok to eat? Am I asking this for nothing..lol

Thank you for your help. My frying pan awaits an answer.....lol

I posted this on the 3 day challenge thread too...
