Awesome post!!!. I was and still am controlled by the scale. I do not own a scale in my home due to the fact that I would weight at least every 5 min.!!! I weigh once a week. And, the number still determines my mood and my day. I think it is a process. I am still a work in progress, but I will not own a scale

Thanx for taking the time to write that thought provoking and honest post.
Ironically I rarely got on the scale for quite a long time during my months on Atkins. I KNEW...just KNEW this WOE worked soo I tried to relax and just LET IT WORK! My old pattern was to get on the scale to determine my 'worth " also and I wanted to break that pattern...so..I only weighed myself maybe once or twice a MONTH for most of the time in OWL and pre maintenance. Ironically when I hit my goal I started weighing myself once a DAY because I felt it would keep me accountable and keep me from becoming 'sloppy" with my eating. This has actually been working (for ME). |
