Will I lose on strict paleo?

We've been doing LC and mostly paleo for almost 2 months now. We do, do dairy but not a ton. We are thinking of just going paleo since we want to make this a life change, but I am scared I won't lose weight.

I love food and I love that I can eat a nice amount of real food, but I am scared if I add in fruit and things like honey that I won't lose anymore.


Thoughts?

I did the whole30 challenge for 90 days and lost a little under 20lbs. So yeah, you'll lose weight doing strict paleo. But it all comes down to portion control. I eat a lot and noticed when I didn't eat my full 2000 calories per day, that I would lose weight. If I ate my 2000 cals, then I would just stay at the same weight.

I'm slowly losing. I can do fruit maybe 2-3 times a week. Usually a tiny apple or part of a larger one, half a banana or a few berries. I rarely hit 2000 calories. Usually its more like 1200-1500.

WOE: "Primalified" Stillman's, plus JUDDD cycling.
I lost about 50lbs on Primal and then stalled out. I can maintain FOREVER on it, eating all the fatty meat and full fat dairy I want, but can't lose anymore at a pace that keeps me happy. In order to keep losing I had to ditch the dairy and nuts, and heavily reduce fat (which by default reduced calories) so I know how I will maintain, but until I reach goal I have to be a bit stricter. :-)
