WOE: Lotsa veggies and LC
I'm more primal than paleo. I eat mostly whole foods, alot of seafood, grass fed beef,
and organic veggies (mostly). but I also eat some dairy.
I'm surprised that I'm having pretty good success at reducing the amount of cheese I eat. I have always been a cheese lover, so it's great that I am being successful at cutting alot out. but I still eat yogurt and I'll never stop using HWC in coffee.
Oh, what should I bring to the party? LOL

I move deeper into my cave during the hot summer months to keep cool...

I'm not really Paleo but it is probably the closest plan to the way I eat. I don't eat the starchy carbs allowed on Paleo & I do enjoy coffee & tea. I think a true Paleo diet would be a bit higher in veggies and lower in fat than my WOE.

I aim to be dairy-free but occasionally cave and buy some cheese.

I go on cycles of eating dairy myself..
I honestly love cheese to much sometimes.

I'm currently sugar detoxing which is like a super clean atkins 72 induction.
I dont limit my veggies as much as induction but no sugars, no sweetners, no artifical stuff, no dairy (this is only for 21 days and my last day is the 10th) no starchy carbs either.
When I'm just doing paleo/primal I will once in a blue moon have some starchy veggies like a handfull of home made sweet potato frys, or a plaintain.
I have to watch my fruit intake, I think from years of eating low carb with no fruit, when I went paleo I like switch into OMG EAT AS MUCH FRUIT AS YOU CAN UNTILL YOU EXPLODE FROM ONE END OR ANOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYY!!!!
LMAO

I'm a new paleo person - have been doing low carb on and off for about three years, and was quite successful but the weight loss had slowed down and I just never seemed to feel really really good.

I started a Whole30 and am on day 4 although I did give up dairy a few weeks ago.

I'm feeling so much better! Was so happy to add some [managed] fruit back in - I was worried about giving up dairy, but for now at least I'd rather eat a little bit of fruit than dairy.

Anyway - I love paleo so far, and believe that it's making a huge difference in mood, joint pain, weight loss, etc.

I am more primal than paleo. Can't give up my dairy (though it's form is cheese, very limited plain yogurt and butter). Other than that I use almond or coconut milk. And no meat, just seafood/fish. I've just started this (a few weeks ago) and am feeling so much better!

WOE: Primal/occasional M&E
Start Date: LC since 2010
Hi everyone... I just wanted to pop in and say g'day

I have just recently realised that my old WOE was not quite "doing it" for me anymore and I was feeling tired all the time. I've been gluten/grain/sugar free for a long time but my previous WOE was more centred around the Atkins approach. I tweaked my nutrient intake and now feel fab. I now realise that I tweaked it to become a primal diet, so I like to think of myself as newly converted I'm still eating LC but with extra carbs from veggies/fruits.

Anyway I look forward to lurking around this area from now on and seeking some words of wisdom and advice from all of you long-term pros out there!

Bye for now...

I do try to be as Paleo as possible. Sometimes the grassfed beef and free range chicken is challenging! And my DH loves to eat out. A lot.

So I'm mostly my own version of Paleo as I too love my HWC in my morning coffee. And right now I'm eyeballin' a recipe that calls for cream cheese.

Hi, y'all.
I'm new to Paleo/Primal and I would love to see more peeps talking about it here! I guess they're all hanging out on other forums...
I think I'm going to do a Whole 30 and kick my sugar/dairy addiction for good. Grains aren't a big deal to me after low carbing for a few years off and on. It's the whole meal planning thing that kicks my butt. Looking forward to seeing some momentum.
BTW, what's the 21 Day Sugar Detox about?

I am definitely Primal but am trying to convert to being Paleo. It was veryyyy hard for me to give up my favorite "health" foods like greek yogurt and oatmeal.
