Braggs Liquid Aminos on Paleo?

Hi Everyone, I am new to the Paleo way of eating - I have been reading of all the benefits of eliminating wheat and gluten and the Paleo way of eating just makes common sense. I am looking to improve my overall health (I am experiencing increasing joint stiffness etc) and for once weight loss is secondary, I just want to feel healthier - although I would love to lose about 25 lbs, so I am hopeful with that too and that surely will help with my health.

I bought the Practical Paleo book and am loving it, however I am a little confused as to whether I can use Braggs Liquid Aminos in place of soy sauce. The bottle says it is gluten free and not fermented, and that it is a natural soy alternative, but then it also states it is from soy protein. The book recommends coconut aminos and I am on the hunt for that but I wondered if any of you use Braggs? I certainly don't want to jeopardize my efforts with a splash of seasoning.
Thanks.

I have never used Braggs, but I doubt that a splash will kill you. At least it doesn't have wheat or MSG.

I use MCT oil mixed with sea salt in place of soy sauce.

Braggs is just too sodium laden for me. I find it worse than soy sauce in that respect. I buy coconut aminos at my local Natural Grocers store. I really like that is is less salty.

Thanks to you both for the quick answers - this is definitely a learning experience. I had never thought about the sodium in Braggs, I just love the flavor but definitely don't need the sodium. I see I can buy the coconut aminos here on Netrition so if I don't find any in town tomorrow, I'll be ordering some! I'm also going to look into the MCT oil, I had never heard of that before. Thx again.
