Another... "just started" post.
Well, here I go. I just started the Paleo diet. I'm in a fitness bootcamp program (the toughest exercise program I've ever been in). My coach told me about this program. First day was today and I have a lot of weight to lose.
I even started a blog, for those interested. fitby40blog |

Welcome Red! I started about 2 months ago. I'm currently doing a Whole30 Challenge. I've been LC'ing for 3 years and wanted to eliminate sweeteners and dairy for whatever health benefits that will bring me. I have never eaten a lot of legumes, so giving that up won't be too hard for me. Haven't had a Diet Coke with Splenda for over 2 months and am not missing them anymore. Have gotten used to coffee with coconut cream and no sweetener. Make cream sauces with coconut cream and homemade mayo. I can do this; you can too! Best of luck as you start out.

Hi Buttoni,
I use to do low carb but have been off the wagon for years. I gave up spenda some time ago. Did you know that your body processes it the same way as it does sugar? It doesn't know the difference. You did good by giving it up! My most difficult thing to give up is dairy. I have gotten myself down to a cup of coffee a day now so that isn't to bad. I am doing boot camp so I do have a higher carb count on boot camp mornings or I'll drag from exhaustion all day. Those boot camps are awesome, you burn a LOT of calories. Heading to mine in just a few minutes. |

That sure is a sweet little pumpkin in your avatar, Red. Looks like red hair on that wee little head. My brother is a redhead.

Fit by 40 is my goal, too! Tick-tock, though.
It's not looking good for me. Anyway, welcome!!! |
