I'm not sure if I'm primal or not.
I know I'm not paleo because I drink coffee w/hwc, and eat cheese.
Other than that though my diet is pretty on track with what I know of primal.
Grass fed meats, lots of fresh or frozen veggies, nuts, berries, coconut oil and evoo
Oh and some yogurt.
So I don't know .....Am I primal?

I Am...mostly

Hello, everybody. This is my first time on this board, and my first post.
I'm doing a low-carb paleo. My carbs are now at 60g/day, though I will be bringing them down to 50, and then 40 (I may go extremely low carb...but not yet).
I don't eat any grains or beans (or dairy--though did for a short while). I do eat about 4 oz of sweet potatoes daily (in 2-2 ounce servings) and...chocolate. I'm tracking my food and am seeing that I eat about 24 of my 60 carb grams as chocolate. *sighs* So far I've dropped about 10 pounds in 5 weeks.
I don't think I'm eating enough fat, though (haven't been tracking anything but carbs--will need to change that soon). Today I add some coconut oil to my coffee. Not the greatest, but I'm not going to add an artificial sweetener as that just doesn't work for me.
Anyway, I'm glad to be here.

PDX - there's a section called EFGT - Eat Fat Get Thin - that has some interesting info on how you need to get enough fat in your diet to stay full and how it helps with weight loss!

I dabbled but didn't continue for whatever reason (can't remember).

I've been trying different things, reading all kinds of info, but I keep coming back to Paleo - it just seems like the most logical WOE and best-suited for me.

Going to do some more reading, checking out Whole30 right now...

I'm mostly Paleo/Primal with limited coffee, super dark chocolate & dairy. I sometimes bounce over to Atkins with an occasional SF Jello cup or Diet Coke(w/Splenda). The most important thing to me is not being strict with the rules, but can I do this for a lifetime?

Went to clean out my pantry the other day and realized that 90% of pantry items are paleo/primal. Nothing to toss really but I realized that letting the dairy and white wine sneak back in has stagnated me. I need to watch it and not let gooey cheese and Greek yogurt turn my head. Focusing now on red wine and homemade cheese, ricotta, mascarpone. Nothing aged, so easy to overdo. Strategy this week: Marks BA salad for 3 days with a steak thrown in. Thursday we go to friends for the Fourth- we usually have brisket and pot luck. I'm taking homegrown tomatoes with basil and ricotta, with balsamic dressing on the side. Also taking stuffed dates. Plenty for me to eat that day. Skip the trifle, will pick out strawberries.

Two years ago we cut the dairy, all grains and cut alcohol by 75%, started walking 2 miles every other day and 15 lbs melted off. I have gained some back but determined to keep up the clean eating. Giving up those oh--so--fun pink cocktails too. Ill just look at pictures of them
