Paleo and Sugar
aside from the dairy and grains... my question is, how do diabetics or people that are insulin resistant respond to the fruit and natural sugars on this? Would it be not as big of of a deal because you are not eating all the processed starchy stuff?
what are the benefits of this vs regular low carb? TIA, Wendy |

Fruit is sugar, so I'm guessing that it is not going to give favorable results to someone who is diabetic. I am not diabetic (I am insulin resistant), and I cannot eat fruit and must keep my carbs close to 20g/day.

thanks Julie.... I was wondering about the sugar. I am insulin resistant too, so I will have to tread lightly in this area!

You don't have to eat fruit just because you're on Paleo, from what I've read they actually suggest you limit your fruit if you're trying to lose weight.

I have to watch my sugar, I WAS borderline diabetic so I am still careful about it. I do fruit every other day, and only in the AM and mostly only before or after a work out so the sugar/carbs will be burned off quickly.
