Difference between how you feel.....
on Atkins vs primal ????? Apart from eating fruit what are the major differences in how you feel on one plan vs the other????

Atkins is not always a clean diet.. Paleo and primal are.. I feel do much better on primal!

Just getting off the grains is worth it
Looking forward to start training for a half of a half Marathon (6+ miles--it's a relay). I jogged .5 mile for the first time in a while (have had an ankle injury) and walked another 1.5. Did not want to overdo but looking forward to doing more, maybe 3 miles, today. Plenty of energy. I don't need no stinkin' grains! |

better sleep, brighter eyes, no hair-loss, much greater suppression of hunger and cravings.
Also just feel better than I'm not dousing every meal in cheese and artificial sweeteners. (the cheese issue is particularly scary- just google dairy + cancer) I think Atkins can be done in a paleo way--just nix the cheese and sweeteners. I am doing Paleo but I strongly base the majority of my knowledge in Atkins principles. Instead of eating regular store-bought meats, I just pay attention to the quality. I get grass-fed and wild-caught almost 100% of the time, and I buy all fruits and veggies from organic, local sources. It makes a huge difference. I went from losing the same 3 lbs on Atkins to dropping 15 between November and now. |
