Paleo in the New Year.
I have heard fantastic things about the paleo plan and have decided to faithfully follow it in order to improve my health.
What are some recommended books I could turn to that would help me learn more about this lifestyle??? Thanks!!! |

Dr. Kurt Harris' blog was a miraculous find for me.
Here are his dietary recommendations. I went from a nondescript, wobbly LC plan to following his recommendations, in the summer of 2010, and found them a tremendous help. I have continued to work on my food plan, supplements, and lifestyle. His blog, and Dr. Peter Dobromylskyj's, Hyperlipid, and then later, Dr. Emily Dean's, Evolutionary Psychiatry, are at the top of my list of recommended blogs. Reading those blogs gives a thorough explanation of why eating an ancestral diet, and living as healthfully as we can, are vital. I've enjoyed the reading and the lifestyle changes so very much. All the best to you. Last edited by Auntie Em; 12-27-2011 at 10:21 AM.. |

I would also read Primal Body, Primal Mind by Nora Gedgaudas and Deep Nutrition by Catherine Shanahan, MD......They both provide scientific backup as to how and why our bodies and genes behave in certain ways and how nutrition helps us be healthier. I would also look into The Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson in addition to The Paleo Diet and The Paleo Solution, the two pillars of Paleo nutrition.
Best of luck! I have started a Primal Blueprint support thread for daily support here and you are welcome to join us. It is not only for followers of the Primal Blueprint, but for everyone who needs daily support. Mark Sisson's website, marksdailyapple, is a wealth of information. He has many recipes, daily posts on all kinds of subjects. ![]() `` `` ![]() `` `` ![]()
