Nice loss!

Can you please link to the banana muffin recipe?

I don't have a loss to post yet - just to be clear, that's due to not eating Primal, not because the program doesn't work.

Fab!!!Way to go tttt.

My computer fast on Sat/Sun did not last long. Breaking news *Whitney Houston* and a coloring sheet for Sunday school intruded. Oh well, will try another day.

Hubby brought home tulips instead of chocolate this year. Can't eat tulips. Had one terrible night--Hubby's business cell phone goes off at 1am, I sat awake till 5 But slept well last night. Love 8 hours.

B-2 banana muffins, coffee
S-trail mix
L-green smoothie with cocoa and banana
S-1/2 apple or almonds TBD
D-grilled lemon/garlic marinated chicken thighs, fantastic *pull out the stops, everything but kitchen sink* Greek salad
Dessert-none.

That should be 100%

Only 5 hours sleep last night. Sigh. Must do better tonight. Must do better tonight.. Out of melatonin, and have some on order from Amazon. Had planned a 3 mile jog today but will end up being a 2-3 mile slow walk. Will do better tomorrow. Not a total loss--browsed lots of primal/paleo sites during the wee hours...

Plan on eating 100% today:
B-2 eggs, 2 banana muffins, coffee with coconut creamer (note: have cut way, way back on eggs in last few weeks. I've gone from 3 cooked eggs several times a week to just 2 maybe 2 times a week. Cyclical, tired of them right now maybe )
S-trail mix
L-BA salad but undecided which protein to team it with or may just throw in all those artichoke hearts I didn't get to last night
S-fresh strawberries
D-lamb burgers (carrying on the Greek theme) and sweet potato fries *we had our steak/Valentine's dinner on Sunday* Not sure if I'll make Oopsies or just scoop the burger with my romaine leaves. Yummy with paleo tzatsiki (sp?) Gotta score some fresh mint somewhere.

Hope everyone has a nice and productive day!

Here ya go Portia...was thinking this was a Dottie recipe but must have gotten link from her. We can thank moonmirror for it.

http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/lo...d-camping.html

I had 6 ripe medium sized bananas and adjusted the recipe. Made 18 muffins. Came out perfect. One note: I did use the paper muffin cups.

Starting work today on my Lenten Challenge *explained here*
2012 Lenten Challenge Goes Primal

Raining today so no jogging for mamasooze. Good day to work my challenge and try to make strides in my book for book club that I'm hosting on Saturday. Note: Stephen King is just tooooo long for a one month read. We need to vote on 300 pages or less

Menu today:
B-chia pudding in coconut/almond milk-blueberries, stevia, vanilla extract. Not bad--should have more energy than I can handle all day.
S-trail mix
L-1 cup Greek yogurt with strawberries/banana (organic) *fresh*
S-almonds
D-wild salmon, BA salad
dessert-none

Lemonade before bedtime. Got 7 hours sleep last night :jump joy:

Should be........100% for the day.

L.O.L. and hardy har har... second storm in a week. But I'm not complaining. 2011 was the year without a summer here. And 2012 has been the year without a winter.

Oh, and I should have said, I'm too lazy to go out for a run. I plan on doing some push ups and squats here soon!!

Yeah, squats going on here HAR HAR.

Just got an email on super special sale at Whole Foods for whole organic chickens- 1.99 lb. What to do, what to do. Grilling/BBQ starts soon here. Hmmm. Just may go down there and buy 5 or so. We love beer can chicken. We are high class round here. We don't use beer, we use Stella Artois in an old Miller Lite can with fresh herbs of course. Naw, we dont do that any beer with fresh herbs is fine with us.

I tried beer can chicken once. Didn't go well. What I like to do is butterfly the clucker before grilling (or roasting!). It cooks so much faster and you don't waste all that back meat like seems to happen with the bird "whole".

I can do 25 squats while brushing my teeth, and so can you!

Ok, Ok. I'm squattin'. Glad I take Triple-Flex. I do thank God and genes I have been blessed with good knees. I hardly know anyone my age that has good knees.

Had a bad night. My fault. Went to sleep too early. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Fell asleep before first commercial of "Top Chef"-one of the few TV shows I watch. AAARGGGG. Will try a nap this afternoon...a short one after a leisurely walk in the park, soakin' up the sunshine. Supposed to rain tomorrow.

Meal plan:
B-2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, coffee with coconut cream
S- trail mix-My trail mix may have to take a hike *haha* when I do my Lenten challenge--the price of pecans and walnuts is ridiculous. May have to change the recipe.
L- green smoothie with avocado and banana
S-almonds (not as expensive as the other nuts)
D- bacon/beef hamburger on oopsie roll, salad
Dessert-none

Have a good day everybody

The weekend is right around the corner.

HELLO all!
Dreary day here in Texas...my vitamin D will be in pill form only. Not much motion (jogging). I liked Mark's post about working with your hands. Now thinking about taking up my needle work again. Slept 7+ hours last night. Yea me!

Busy day and busy weekend. Having book club at my house tomorrow. Asked everyone to bring a salad *and wanted to tell them to leave their sugary sweet dressings at home but I didn't*. It's Mardi Gras this weekend so I'm doing shrimp over grits, but I will shun the grit. A bite of King Cake will pass my lips...for luck only. Southerners and their strange ways...i hope I get the baby.

Menu today:
B-2 sausage patties, 1/2 cup Greek yogurt drizzled with raw honey
S- Trail mix...time to make next week's batch
L- strawberry/spinach/avocado smoothie
S- almonds
D- shrimp po boy for DH and a BA grilled shrimp salad for me (making homemade remoulade)

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hi Mamasooze, your comment about King Cake made me chuckle. lol

I'm going to be having an 20% day (from the 80/20 rule). I had leftover chicken salad for breakfast, and scooped it up with the ends of my kids' leftover bagel (like 1/4 of a bagel total). Plus coffee. For lunch I'm going to experiment with a cheese souffle. There is a touch of flour in it. Having never made a souffle before, I need to see what it's like with the flour before I try to make one without. And dinner is one of our very few take-out nights. I'm not sure what we'll get, but I'm not getting a salad.

Hoping that souffle worked out for you Speck made my mouth water. Guess I miss cheese more than I thought. My challenge this year will be harder without the cheese, usually a staple around here in Lent. I've mapped a three week menu but need to tweak and fine tune. I already have most of my proteins and have been trawling the websites for cheap, but pleasing ideas for my fruits and veggies. My problem is finding reasonably priced seafood. Hopefully that will change this week. I have to have everything in place before Friday. Going out of town and won't be back till Monday.

Did good with weekend eating. Had a sliver of King Cake but did not get the baby. Two bites of grits and some really good shrimp (lots of shrimp). Tomorrow is pancake supper. I'll sit that out and eat at home. Found a paleo Dutch baby recipe that looks good. Put it on my Lenten menu challenge.

Menu today:
B-leftover salmon with 2 fried eggs
S- trail mix ( replaced 1/2the nuts with slivered almonds which I found for $2.99 lb at Whole Foods. Not a bad swap)
L- green smoothie using strawberries
S- salmon salad-should be end of leftover salmon
D- pork chops, salad, Brussels sprouts
Dessert- none

Good morning! Had a really rough week traveling to hospital several times and spending all day there with my mom. Kind of went off track, but I'm back today, and everything's back to normal for now.
B: 3 mini banana muffins, cup of coffee
L: baked chicken breast
D: hamburgers with zesty baked sweet potato fries

Some of the worst-for-you food in the world is found in hospital cafeterias. I assume they make a buttload of money off the crap in those vending machines too. I could go on and rant, but what's the point? They'll never change

Yes. More chocolate. Love the stuff and try to eat some dark, dark every day.
Not doing well today with anything. Swollen glands, cough, nose now dripping. Reminds me of Christmas. Sick so soon haven't been sick in over a year and now wham! Leaving on Friday to do 1/2 M at Disney with oldest daughter. We only do six miles each, and at least weather is going to be nice. Staying home resting in bed next few days. Chicken broth will be my best friend.

Menu today UGH
B- Yogurt with flax
L- 6 shrimp, trail mix
D- strawberries with coconut milk, 3 small sausages
