I would like to try this along with juddd in Jan.

I'm in. Currently eating Primal. Going to try and transition closer to Paleo to try to lose the last 20 pounds and hopefully help some skin issues.

ok I would suggest getting a book if you want to follow it to a T, and are willing to totally commit. I would suggest googling the whole 30, and also robb wolf or every day paleo.

I have Robb Wolf's book Paleo Solution and listen to all the podcasts.

Primal is more ok about dairy than paleo, but even some paleo recommendations are looser than others. 30 days without can give you a clue if you think it bothers you, and I too think it's good to select a plan and go with it, see what it can do....

I have to go lower carb, no more than 40-50g a day at the most, with very low to no starch and fruit or I'll gain weight back and have blood sugar too high.

If you don't want to buy or check out a paleo book, you can always check out wbsites like Robb wolf, mark sisson, Loren cordain, whole 30, and you'll run across lots of other names of people whose recommendations you'll want to check out and read the debates, etc

It can be a good way to stay motivated:D

I think of myself as 'low carb' because I need to stay below 25g, but I'm more primal than most regular low carbers, since I eat no grains, dairy, fruit, or artificial sweeteners--and avoid processed foods as much as possible.

When I read Mark Sisson's plan, all I actually had to change was my organic peanut butter to almond butter--but I've since had to abstain from that because I have had trouble controlling myself with it!

I'm in!! We're heading to Disney World this weekend and will get back just before the 1st, so 1/1/12 timing is perfect for me. I've been low carbing for about 9 months now, but I've never tried paleo. I've been stalled on low carb for a couple months, so it's time for a change. I just finished reading The Paleo Diet, and I'm in the middle of The Primal Blueprint. I assume a "serious 30 day challenge" means something like Whole 30, right? That'll be tough for me (I really like my artificial sweetener), but I figure I can do just about anything for a month.

I also read somewhere that Primal allows a little red wine.

I've been doing mostly Primal, KISS, for years cutting almost all processed foods. My only exceptions are bacon, hotdogs, and cheese.

Hi I would like to join your challenge in hopes that I might start losing again.. I have decided to try the primal lifestyle for the new year, I got the books and some of the cook books so I am ready to roll .. starting today!... but officially Jan would be fine too... Nice to meet you all.. and I am ready to get skinny!! LOL

I'm in. I've been needing to get back to my plan for awhile now and wanting to do a paleo challenge. I began again today with just general low carb. On Jan 1st, I will be starting Whole30.
