Good Morning Everyone!

Right, for the record I am going to put my weight and my waist measurement - I have all the other stuff but I don't want to clutter up this post with it.

Weight:- 224.75
Waist:- 38.5"

I think the hardest things are going to be giving up my scale and ******. I don't want to record anything because I am determined to go by how I feel - eating when I am hungry and not just because it is a 'meal time'

Good luck everyone!

Lucy

I drank a little "pre-challenge" alcohol last night so my weight is up to 158.2 (also VERY pms) so I am going to use 153.4 as my starting weight - that's been my average weight for the last few weeks. Waist 34, hips 39, bodyfat - 31.2. Fasting blood sugar has been averaging 96-105 or so - I hope to lower that as well!

Not getting on the scale is going to be REALLY tough for me!

Thanks for posting on the other thread- I didnt realize there was a new one!

Today I'm having a very 'challenging' and stressful day with my DH but I am committed to this plan and that has really kept my thoughts focused.

My weight today: 198.6 (TOM is here and I've gained 3 pounds) Haven't eaten enough today because I'm stressed but have definitely stayed paleo.

Hi guys! Happy Friday!

did you sort out your spicy problem Kerry? What was it that was too spicy? I know if you have a soup that it too salty it is said that you can add a potato which will absorb the saltiness (cook for a while then throw the potato out) - I don't know if that might work for you?

I had a really hard time last night not having a glass of wine which I was offered - I did stay off it but it was hard!
I did do an hour of Pilates though so am very happy with that - and I signed up for another eight weeks of Pilates lessons - I am really enjoying it.

Food today is:-

Breakfast: Steamed Mackerel, handful of Peacans
Lunch: Smoked Mackerel, assorted salad leaves, some garlic stuffed olives
Dinner: 2 Lamb chops with a pile of steamed leeks.

Have a great day everyone!

Lucy

Well, I think I did it - breakfast was ground steak & pork with veges - lunch was cup chilli, and dinner I has baked chicken with tomato, green peppers and something else.

I had a few blueberries and a peach

No Wine - hurray My husband worked late so I waited for him and by time he got home I wasn't interested in drinking wine - went and read a book in bed. Felt great and woke up 6AM.

Doing great - up early to watch the sunrise over SW Florida, full of energy and ready to go.

This works out so much better for me - not being tempted with cheesecake and other altered foods, fake sugar etc. just because there low carb. Good Veges and fruits and protein. So easy to get off track because it's "low carb."

I know everyone has their vice, thats why im making this post.
See me I could give up the fruit, nuts, cheese... I'm really not sure if I could give up coffee lololol.....
But not weighing could kill me I feel. its so funny. I love to weigh every day to keep me accountable, and to see how i did with the previous days food.. Its killing me to give up weighing, and I could give up anything else so easily (besides coffee lol)
Anyone else strugging?

Still here. Doing fine, love not being tempted by my kids' carby snacks. Not sure how I'll fare this weekend, with the constant temptation of wine, coupled with the stress of being with the in-laws and our family in an RV. If I don't do some explaining as to my 'new diet' I'm sure they'll figure I'm pregnant, lol (I'm not one to turn down wine).

I'm new to low-carb, so I think I'm losing some water, which is a good thing, I was feeling really waterlogged around my ankles.

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend.

Hey everybody- still here and still keeping it paleo! I am feeling great. The food part seems so simple to me, fewer choices makes it easy for me. I feel satisfied and nourished- no cravings at all other than perhaps the HWC in the coffee but not strong enough to even really consider it- sticking to iced tea and iced coffee.

Now I want to start focusing on the exercise part of the equation- have slacked off from the gym the last month or so. Every things a bit crazy this (long) weekend but my son goes back to school Tuesday so no excuses. Glad everyone's doing well!
