So true! I actually still consider this an accomplishment because in the past I probably would have gone WAY off track- baby steps are still progress!

still kicking strong!
Today I started my day with a huge glass of water..
I'm getting ready to bust out the slow cooker because I'm going to make a sauce with some beef and veal neck bones I bought for cheap. I CANT WAIT!
I also have to make a pot of coffee, today is a cleaning day because the weather stinks but I will never get anything done if I don't drink some coffee..
DOTTIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! can you believe we only have one week left? how crazy it really went so fast!
I hope that some of the people on here do an october challenge. I'm not sure I will be down 100% but i'll deff pop in to stay on track and not totally derail.

It's gone by fast!
I've missed a few things (like stevia or sweet n low and half and half in my coffee; and bottled salad dressings!) but it's been really easy for the most part
I'm probably going to add those things back, but keep them very limited. I have come to like coconut milk or almond milk in coffee, so I think I can leave the half and half off the list lol.
One thing I've really missed is my go-to protein snack for after workouts or before bed if I'm starving: a hard boiled egg and string cheese. I've had the eggs, but kind of miss the cheese.

Good morning!
Test today, lots of errands to run and we're going out to lunch.
I told him as long as it's somewhere I can get a steak or grilled chicken, veggies and a salad we're good lol.

good luck dottie!
5 days left! can't weight to weigh lmao
and measure for that matter..
I feel amazing..
I have been thinking, I'm not sure im going to add back dairy, cheese is to easy to overeat for me. I will deff just save it for special occasions and that will be my only dairy..
I am debating on what kind of sweetners I will use. I may pick up some RAW honey, and some grade B maple syrup which I know tastes amazing..
The dates work great for sweetening things, along with banana and ripe pineapple..

lol I learned not to touch mine a long time ago!
I trimmed them, then got a cut a few weeks later and Mario asked me "who messed (not what he said) up your bangs?" I told him I trimmed them and he smacked me with a comb and said "don't do that again" lol.

I am ready to join the challenge for October.

September 24th was my last day of dairy products.

I feel like being dairy free may be a permanent thing since I am lactose intolerant.

So I am starting a bit early but I think this should be fun!

September was paleo except I was eating cheese and some cream in my German meatballs.

Sounds like you're pretty close already Toned
I'm anxious to see if, when I do add some dairy back, if my nasal allergies act back up.
After eating out yesterday, my ankles were swelling and I was stuffy all day, so I'm guessing their seasonings had either msg, gluten or both in them. Or possibly just a lot more salt than I've been eating combined with whatever air freshener they used there.

ok so today I winged it and had a 50g protein breakfast before i was up for an hour...
OH MY LAWD! It was harder then natural childbirth!
Butttt even though the food was very forced, I couldn't hardly eat lunch (I made myself a smoothie with pumpkin, banana, raw eggs, a date (i use these to sweeten things) and some almond milk, cinnamon, and coconut oil..
it was very forced and now at dinner time I have no appitite... I was so full all day hubby and I both even had to force our vitimins..

GET THIS DOTTIE! I was so full, and had so much energy from the breakfast I'm just drinking my ice coffee from 7am NOW! and its half full and about to get dumped..
ITS LIKE A MAGIC TRICK!

I can add that the 50g breakfast is magic

It is difficult but it helps to keep the snacking away

I am doing great without dairy, it has been 2-3 days and I don't miss it.

I made an omelet today for dinner and it was delicious and I didn't miss the cheese at all

B: Thai meatballs (4 large)
L: 3 Sausage links, baby romaine with olive oil and lemon juice dressing
D: Omelet made with coconut oil, garlic, sea salt, fresh cracked pepper, and baby romaine

Good morning
Final stretch of the challenge!

B: Coffee
D: chicken breast w/tomato, olives and capers over noodled zucchini; romaine salad w/dressing of anchovy, mayo, mustard, garlic, and olive oil. Kind of a mock creamy caesar.
S: I have a recipe idea in my head so I may try it out for supper: tilapia cooked in coconut milk w/ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes and cranberries over either noodled zucchini or riced cauliflower

I went dairy free on Sunday. I feel great and I don't have any desire to return to dairy (except maybe I will add back butter after October, I don't miss it but butter would add some variety)

I am ready for the October challenge. Hopefully I won't be the only one doing it LOL

Today's menu
B: Porkchop & scrambled eggs
L: Porkchop & cucumber salad
D: Spiced Babyback ribs & cucumber salad

Beverages: herbal tea & lemon water

Good morning!
Kerry I'd say Saturday?
Toned: if you're doing primal I'll join you
I really want to have occasional cheese, and sweetener in my coffee. Not often, I found I can do without them, but it would be nice to have a little parmesan on my salad or spaghetti squash now and then lol.
Hot coffee with just a little coconut milk or almond milk is pretty good! That was a tough hurdle to get over, for me.

B: coffee w/coconut milk
D: salmon muffins (canned salmon, diced onion and bell pepper, mayo, eggs, salt, pepper, a little cayenne, garlic powder, a little coconut flour if it needs a binder); sliced tomato and cucumber w/anchovy mayo
S: grilled chicken breast, radishes sauteed in evoo with bacon and onion (like fried potatoes)

http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/pa...l#post15043842
the anchovy mayo. If you like anchovies, this stuff was so good. Had all the salty, rich goodness of anchovy and could be thinned down for a caesar type dressing (lol can you tell I was pleased with myself?)

I don't mind if you do primal, my plan is to do paleo.

I was on the fence about cheese but I don't miss it at all. I think in the long term I may have an occassional bit of goat cheese, but cheese isn't that big to me so i don't really need it.
