Hi, just thought I'd say hi, unfortunately I lost my job a couple of weeks ago so completely forgot all about the whole food challenge. Good luck for the rest of it.

Yes it's very good. A little goes a long way, it's really strong. I ended up ordering off Amazon, no where locally had it.

I didn't feel like cooking the roast (which I forgot to thaw lol) so I cooked some boneless, skinless chicken thighs in some garlic and evoo and had those for supper.

Sorry to hear about your job Animord! I hope you get a new one soon.

I was doing ok (with Primal anyways) until I got sick. Sick is of course when I should be that much hardcore but its hard to do so when you are tired! I even sent my son to his babysitters yesterday so I could rest since I was feeling pretty out of it. I am going to try and restart again tomorrow and hopefully do good. I failed to the point of a s*d* one day Though if I would of had my witts around me I would have remembered the coffee machine and had that (who forgets there is a coffee machine in the office???).

We haven't gone out to dinner since I started the challenge, I'm thinking we will tomorrow since son is home from college for the weekend.
Trying to think of a good place where I can stay paleo is tough!
I'm guessing a steak house will work, just stick to salad w/vinegar and maybe veggies if they will steam or grill them without adding anything but salt and pepper.

I've been lazy, only doing half hearted workouts the past 2 weeks. It's not lack of energy, but lack of motivation for some reason!
I'm pledging to start back Monday serious with strength training 2x a week, pilates or other stretch/toning 2x a week and total gym or other lower body workouts 2x a week and I pledge to take 1 day a week off to rest so I don't burn out again.

I had guava disappointment lol. The only ones they had were mushy and about the size of a golf ball.

I find all tomatoes so sweet tasting now, I love them so much. I made a hamburger soup with burger beef broth onion carrot celery green beans, canned tomatoes, I also put in quite a few quartered tomatoes from the garden, this was the best soup in so long!

I ended up in the mood for pizza, so I experimented

This crust:
http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/pa...l#post15027028

Topped:
sauteed 3 anchovy fillets in 1T evoo, 1 clove crushed garlic, 1T capers, 1tsp dried italian seasoning, pinch crushed red pepper flakes and 1 small ripe tomato, diced.
Sauteed all that until soft, topped the crust and broiled for 3 minutes.
The entire pizza was only 345cals, 12g carbs, 5g fiber and 22g protein

Hey guys!
Checking in here after being AWOL on the challenge. Let me say that I am very impressed with you for sticking with the challenge- which I have not I have been pretty good but life got in the way and I had some unexpected drama and traveling and it just didnt happen. Oh well! Still felling good and still about 90% for the month with small amounts of cheese being the main culprit. Sometimes when you're not in control of what you're eating it's just too hard to control what you're eating if you know what I mean!

Anyway congrats on your successes and I look forward to hearing about your results!

Hang in there Rae When things are out of your control, you just have to make the best choices out of what it available!
