D: either ground beef w/cabbage and salsa or boiled shrimp using paleo mayo as a dip and a salad
S: chicken breast and zucchini. I may do a Mexican chicken breast w/lime zest and juice, cilantro and tomatoes, avocado on the side

I decided on the shrimp salad lol.
Diced cooked shrimp, a little diced onion and red bell pepper and mixed that with paleo mayo w/just a dash of red pepper flakes and some cilantro mixed in. Will have that in green leaf lettuce leaves for dinner

Great! A little pressure from DH for cheesy dishes, but on my end no problems lol.
I'm making a big pot of chili today.

I was reading nutrient profiles on fruits and ran across guava!
Guava Carbohydrate Counts - Carb Counts and Health Benefits of Guava
Looks pretty good, low in carbs and calories, doesn't seem too high glycemic.
I'm going to see if I can find any here this week

Hey everybody!
No I havent disappeared but I do have a confession- on Labor Day I went to a party and strayed a bit... not too bad but one glass of wine and my resolve completely vanished Oh well considering what used to be falling off track for me- this is still pretty good!

I am right back on track and have been keeping it simple... meats and veggies mostly. I do find if I eat fruit it starts a craving cycle so for now, I'm going to skip the fruit. My DS laughs at me and says I have eliminated everything but water and air! But I dont see it that way at all... just eliminated the non-essentials.

FYI- did anyone notice on Marks Daily Apple that they are doing a 30 day primal challenge starting Sept 12? Apparently they do it each year and there are prizes even.... just fwiw....

Good morning!
Anyone else feel great?
B: coffee
D: chili with cabbage "rice"
S: grilled steak; salad /evoo and bragg's vinegar

For the cabbage rice, I toss chunks of cabbage in a food processor and pulse to get small pieces. Put a little coconut oil in a skillet and add the cabbage and a little salt and pepper, stir fry until it's just tender then add the chili and heat through.

rae: I saw that on ***, weird it's starting in the middle of the month. The primal rules allow some dairy, stevia, etc lol. But I'm finding this strictness isn't as much as problem as I thought it might be.
I've had no problems leaving off the stevia and half&half and cheese. DH is a bit whiney but I can add cheese to his dishes and he had cheese on his chili last night lol.

Rae33 I am like that, liquor gives me mad munchies and it is easy to munch on something I shouldn't.

I've practiced being strictor but I have not even been 100% on my own rules.. none the less the Whole 30 Day rules. So I'll lurk and maybe join in on the October challange. I am weak and I need practice

Going really well
B: Coffee
D: chili dog bake thing I posted in the recipe thread (or maybe just chili lol, kind of leery of the hot dogs, even though they're nitrate free)
S: I'm going to make a sirloin with fajita seasonings and make tacos w/romaine leaves as tortillas, some home made enchilada sauce and diced avocado

Where I live the little ones are walking in the dark to the bus stop at 7AM school starts 7:20. High school starts free breakfast at 6:15AM middle school starts around 8AM.

Doing great lost about 10 lbs and my pants that were tight are beginning to loosen up.
Feel so much better especially with all those allergies I just developed.

Don't let that stress get the best of you if you can help it! If I had been stronger about a year and a half ago I wouldn't be on here with a 155lb weight. I was at 130 and dropping when I had to deal with a long term issue (which I finally resolved a few months ago) and I lowered my eating habits by a lot and started to carb eat for pleasure.

Now I'm trying to get my stuff back in gear. Be strong! I really wish I had, it wasn't worth it.

B: coffee
D: hamburger patty w/tomato, avocado (since no cheese lol), mayo and pickles wrapped in green leaf lettuce; roasted brussles sprouts
S: more chili! Maybe w/scrambled eggs (I made a big batch, took 4 servings out and froze the rest individually for a quick meal) w/ fresh pico de gallo.

I read a few things but lost interest with the whole "eat 50g protein as soon as you wake up" part since I rarely eat breakfast, and that's a lot of protein early in the morning!
Good deal on the coffee I don't go through as much now that son's back at college, but when he's home it's like a 12oz bag a weekend lol.

I was trying to figure it out. 6 or 7 eggs or a 10oz steak? I've never been a breakfast eater, that would be tough. Maybe if you had a protein shake with a few scoops of powder.
