I can use coconut products but not daily so can't replace milk in coffee and use in smoothies, etc.
I'm curious why you think coconut milk triggers cold sores?

I had the same problem while using CO daily. Just am sensitive to it.
HSV is a funny virus. There are food lists and some apply consistently and others don't.
I cannot go around w cold sores on my mouth....it's just nasty.

Today is Day 7 and the cravings are hitting me hard for some reason. I think it's because I don't have to work today and am sitting around the house doing nothing. Boredom eating/cravings. I made brownies for a party a few days ago and have some leftovers sitting on my kitchen countertop. I suggested to my SD that she take some to her boyfriend and my husband groaned. He wants them here. Okay, then eat the damn things! I haven't cheated yet.

I agree, they ARE nasty. I was going to start eating a Tbsp of CO every day, starting today. Now I'm afraid!

Good for you! Unfortunately, we're going to be tempted by forbidden foods the rest of our lives. The temptation will be stronger sometimes than others. Stay strong and don't cave! You're doing great!

I completed my 30 day paleo challenge and still going strong. I love it!! I like the cookbook "Everyday Paleo". It's awesome! I usually have 3 different dishes portioned and ready to go(about 5 portions each). It helped keep me on track.

Interesting about the coconut oil/milk causing cold sores.
I wonder if it has to do with the CO/M revving up your immune system? Kind of beating up the viruses and bacteria and they don't want to give up without a fight?

glad you like paleo Lynn, it gets easier as the days go by, less thought of food in general happened for me, I believe that is what made my weight loss so successful!

You know you are doing well when the thought of flour and sugar makes you this

Other than not feeling okay body-wise and how much I would like to throttle my co-worker, I feel..."fine".

I know, this is the reason I was so successful, I have done low carb with dairy off and on for years, never could stick with it, always thinking about food I shouldnt eat, I seriously never do that, eating this way. I will be around someone eating something I used to just love, I am shocked at how I dont care about it any longer. Maybe it's from not eating the grains, not sure which
