Paleo Peeps! Come on in!
Do you know of any recommended reading material/Books for the Paleo diet?
TIA! |
Loren Cordain The Paleo Diet and The Paleo Diet for Athletes
Mark Sisson The Primal Blueprint ( a little different from Paleo, but excellent) Also if you google him you can find his excellent blog with a ton of free info. Robb Wolf The Paleo Solution - I just ordered this one from amazon, so hope it's good Hope you find what you are looking for! |
I loved Mark Sisson's book. I can't wait to get Robb Wolf's.
I also bought and appreciated The Warrior Diet as well. |

Head over to the robbwolf web site for some fabulous podcasts. Itunes as well. This guy is good and fun to listen to. Robb is a bit more lenient than Cordain and Sisson more so than Robb |
I love him

I listen to Robb Wolf's podcast all the time. |
Mark Sisson and Robb Wolf.
<--- not a Cordain fan. |
Oh, how could I forget Dr. Kurt Harris. Google PauNu.
|
Nora Gedgauda's (sp?) Primal Body, Primal Mind
I second Mark Sisson book. I love it :) |
Tons of podcasts worth listenting to and many many blogs.
Books: Primal Blueprint, Paleo Solution, Paleo diet for athletes etc etc. Mega Link to all things primal: Stuff That I Read (or Watch), And You Should Too | Mark's Daily Apple |
I would be with Paleo except many of its proponents seem to assume that we all came from the lower latitudes where fruit and vegetables were frequently encountered. Also there seems to be an acceptance of the heavily modified plants 10,000 years of agriculture has provided us with. I can't call myself paleo while eating Romaine or head lettuce, and I won't eat dandelion greens.
If pressed I might call myself a Neo-Carnivore because I eat those new-fangled cows and I make do with GM greens. That said, I do read Mark and the PauNu sites, and have skimmed over most of those books. Good information in "Protein Power" too, very Paleo in Philosophy although it's not stated as such. |
If we think about it loo, none of us can technically say we're paleo with this food, water and air supply!
The best thing a paleo style follower can do is purchase pastured and wild animal proteins. Berries are about as wild as I get with the fruits throwing a seasonal apple in here and there for variety. |
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!! Headed over to Amazon as I type this.
Ya'll are the best! :high5: |

I like the name Neo-Carnivore. Thanks, Looweewoo.
Another keen reader of Dr. Harris' blog, PaNu. Peter Dobromylskyj's blog, Hyperlipid, might also be of interest to you. |

Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson and The Paleo Solution by Robb Wolf are both excellent. They overlap a lot.
I'd also check out Dr. Kurt Harris' blog PaNu - P. It's fantastic. |
