I am getting very interested in this paleo style eating. I have the Paleo Diet and have the Paleo Diet for Athletes on order as well as the Primal Blueprint.

Have you tried almond butter yet? I bought a jar a while back and didn't like it. Peanuts and other nuts have been a downfall for me too.

I did go to the PaNu site and read how to get started. I have some questions though:

No fowl or veggies??? What does he mean by some fish?

I see what IF is now. And after reading his thoughts on the PaNu site I totally agree. Often times I am not hungry when I first arise in the morning. I have also thought that the current eating 5 mini-meals a day puts me in the grazing mode. And, we know what happens when we graze!!!!!

I got the same 3 books you got. i try to eat 2or 3 times a day. monday starts week 4 I am going to try fasting 2 days next week. My weeks start on monday. And I am going to keep my calories low. Thats my plan for next week,

Loo- how's your IF going? Have you done the 48 hours? I'm thinking I may try when I get a couple days off work where I can be home while I do it. I'm afriad I might get too hungry and distracted at work. BTW--there is a great conference this weekend in Columbus Ohio. Its at the Radisson on Sinclair road. Its an annual thing I've gone to for the past 13 years. Fri, Sat, Sun and a bunch of great speakers. Google Columbus Spring Round-up.

I have not done a 48 hours since I talked about it. I've been trying to work myself up to it and making excuses like I have to finish up the bacon or I have an appointment I don't want to be hungry for...

OK, here's the thing. Tomorrow is Friday, I have that anniversary (28 years sober) with potluck and cake, when I make it home I planned to have prime rib to celebrate making it past all that. Then I have Saturday and Sunday to fast. I'll start now getting into serious ketosis so it will do me the most good. This cabbage I'm eating right now will be my last carbs. So I'll call it midnight Friday to Monday at noon, 60 hours.

We'll see how it works out.

Sounds like a good plan. Keep us posted on your progress. Congratulations on 28 years---wonderful!!! I will be celebrating 14 years on April 9.

Wow, we pop up out of the woodwork, don't we?

I know it's not a small thing but I'm feeling a little much like it's been made into a big thing. I would rather folks be happy that I made it through today. With the turmoil my life has been this last year, that's the real accomplishment.
