Paleo Diet Menus

I have tried many diets but have found that the SIMPLEST low carb diet to follow is the Paleo Diet by Loren Cordain. It is just eating lean meat, fish & seafood, poultry, eggs, fruit & veggies, but NO grains, starchy veggies or packaged or canned food and no sugar, except for a little honey if you need a sweetener.

So here's my menus:

1/15/09

Breakfast-Omelet with peppers & onions, small breakfast steak
Snack- 1/2 banana, 1/8 c. chopped walnuts
Lunch- large tossed salad with chicken strips
Snack- 1/2 banana, 1/8 c. chopped walnuts
Dinner- cube steaks, tossed salad, Brussel sprouts
Dessert- 1/2 c. blueberries sprinkled with sliced almonds

Subscribing to your menu thread, Fluffy. I'm curious about paleo. (I joined one of their forums.) Are you adding oils or vinegars to your salad or perhaps, lemon juice?

Hi Lora,

Welcome to my paleo menu thread.

Yes I sometimes (but not always) add olive oil and or vinegar to salads. Other times I use a little honey drizzled over, esp. if its a fruit type salad. such as the strawberry salad above.

Sounds delicious! They have wonderful vinegars at the grocery store to enhance salad. I wind up using less oil and concentrate on protein.

I have decided to not post any more menus on this sub-forum and start a Paleo Diet thread under OTHER Diets here on LCF. You can find it here:
