Three Meals A Day - No Snacks

I've tried this before with good success. I'm going back to 3 meals a day and no snacks in between.

I'm posting this in Other Plans since I've largely given up LCHF, HCG, etc. I'm interested in sustainable weight loss that works for me. I'm an overall healthy eater but I snack way too much.

Rules:

1. No snacking. Three meals, one plate at each meal of nutritious food.
2. There are no other rules.

Does anyone else eat this way?

I do--I follow No S --no snacks, seconds, or sweets except sometimes on days that start with S. Great website. I have to time shift my meals for me to be successful. I eat breakfast at 10, lunch at 2 and dinner at 6. Works well for me. weight loss is slow but happens.

I have just been reading about this, someone had good success on it after going to an expensive doctor. Then someone else mentioned that this was the old plan by that Jack LaLane juicer guy from the 80`s. (The guy who was like 80 but looked 50).

The only difference was that he said it was supposed to be 5 hours in between the meals, and only plain water in between. No coffee or pop just water.

Certainly do-able to try it!

Im struggling staying LC right now so maybe Ill try it too!

Thanks Ladies!

What reminded me of it was the other day someone offered my 90+ year old grandfather something to eat and he said it wasn't dinner time yet. The man has a small belly because he loves his sweets but is about the only person in my (genetically linked to me) family without a weight problem.

I love No S except for having sweets only on the weekend. If I say I have to wait until the weekend I will "S" around way too much. LOL

I have sweets every day too--but no sugar and my S day (with sugar) only lasts from Thursday night at dinner until Friday at noon. I've been doing it this way for awhile and seems to work.

People are so terrified of being hungry! I am often hungry at 4:00 and I just wait for dinner. It won't kill us to be hungry for an hour.

Exactly! I'm also noticing how many times a day I want to eat but I'm not hungry. It's harder to deal with head hunger / boredom eating for me than actual stomach rumbling.

Last night, I honestly wasn't hungry for dinner (I'd had a big lunch). I debated on skipping the meal but was afraid I'd be starving around bedtime and then not sleep well. I ended up eating about 1/3 of what I normally would for dinner and stopped. I did get a little hunger twinge around 9:00 p.m. but fought the snack urge and went to bed early instead. The scale rewarded me today for it!

Lost well all week and then overindulged yesterday. Not terribly and some of it is fluid retention from chinese food but it undid much of my progress.

I am for trying this. I just haven't been able to stay LC for quite awhile. I really don't want to see lettuce again for awhile. Just personal thing...

Slowly upping my meal intake while still following DANDR OWL. Right now i have two meals a day (B and D) with zero food snacks. I say zero food snacks cause i like to have a black decaf before bed sometimes.
