Weight Watchers No More Nonsense in November

Happy November, Gals! Let's get a jump start on the Holidays! We can lose a few and beat those New Years resolutions early. Just think, we can start the new year 10 pounds (or more) lighter if we really put our minds to it. I read somewhere that if you only lose 1/2 pound a week, that's still 26 pounds per year! Any loss is a great so pull up a chair, grab your coffee and share your story! We'd love to hear from you and would welcome any new ideas, recipes and tips!

Let's do this!

I'm here!!! Thank you for starting us yet again! I'm going to get brave and try it sometime! I'm not sure about this time change. It's 6:30 and I'm getting ready for bed. That is a great thing now that I think of it!

I'm looking for a great month of losing too! I'm still under the weather but hope to be back to normal SOON!! It's freezing here (for us, at least) but I'm not going to let that stop my morning walking. I'll just have to bundle up!!

I'm back to basics. .using my planner/tracker. . if I bite it, I shall write it! I guess I just have to see it all laid out in front of me. The electronics are great but I think I'll think twice when I'm actually subtracting points? IDK.. but if it works. .hurray! It's amazing to me. . once you add those carbs back in, you start getting hungry. .It's almost like I have the munchies today. . Well.. hopefully I'll get my workout in. . Was up at 3:00 this morning and then fell back to sleep right before the alarm clock so I snoozed for another 1/2 hour. . really hate when I do that. .

Hi Ladies. I'm Sherry. Was hoping I could join you all. I'm a 44 yr old mom of two human kids and one very very spoiled Chihuahua. I needs to lose lots of weight. I tried WW once before and lost about 20 lbs in 3 months last year and then Halloween and all the other holidays came and it was a perfect excuse to fall off the wagon and go back to what was easier. Candy, cakes, BREAD. But....I'm at an all time high. My knees and back are screaming. I WANT to lose weight. I need to lose weight. But I can't do it alone.

Sherry! So glad you decided to join. The beautiful thing about Weight Watchers is you can always jump right back on - it is forgiving and always welcoming. We have to remind ourselves how great it is when we've done all we can and tracked and ate on plan! We can do it.

Hi Karen! So sorry about the diabetes but I think you can man-handle it and throw it to the curb. Nothing is a better motivator! Make yourself a promise right now. . I will never weigh as much as I do today , Again! . .so. . every step in the right direction is a bonus! I've only kept 10 pounds off this year, but I'm 10 pounds less than I was. . I expect more, but I'll keep any loss!

Let's make ourselves proud. .

Day 2 and the tracker seems to be working! Yay. . and Yippeee. . .

However, now for the bad news! (I work at a Juvenile Center) and we got our new popcorn maker yesterday. . You know the ones. . the huge movie theater kind!!! OMG> . they've been killing me over here. . Popcorn is my absolute favorite and will be so hard to fight. (I'll admit it.. I had some today. but I put it in my trusty planner. . )

OK. this time change is doing weird things to me. I'm hungry earlier. . tired earlier and then I wake up earlier (Like 3:00 am. . early). . but . more time for coffee and water, I say!

Sherry and Karen!!! Glad to have you both with us!!

I am so proud of myself! I just made me a big plate of spaghetti and thought about how that was way too much for a portion and I got a container and put half of it in it for my lunch tomorrow!

Things like that are huge for me. Not to be mindlessly eating too much! I've lost all of my "sister" weight! Now if I could just feel well enough to start my morning walks again. I'm still under the weather but feeling much better. Maybe it won't be too much longer.

IM.....I don't think I could resist popcorn! Not that kind anyway. Microwave popcorn actually stinks but not the popper kind!!

Kat! I think it's going to be a long, long winter!

icandoit!! You're doing great already!!!

I had McDonalds for dinner tonight..........that jalapeno burger tastes great but I ate half of an order of fries and drank half of a coke. Once again, I guess I could have done worse and had all of the food, but still. I worked all day and then went to check on my MIL and then my step mother and I didn't feel like cooking. It's just been one of those days. Tomorrow is a new day!

Thanks for the WELCOME'S LADIES. Decided to try WW again especially since I can't do LC. My doctor said since there is something going on with my kidney function, it would be hard on them/me. Was told I was diabetic last Thursday, I knew it was just a matter of time since it runs in my family so bad. I made a promise to myself, to do better and try not to give up. Post my meals daily starting today and weight every Thursday. To be here to encourage others that are in need on this thread. Wt last week 318# Goodnite, Karen

Fast food again tonight. It's just been crazy this week! I had an Arby's roast been jr with just a half of a horsey sauce pack and unsweetened tea! I did much better tonight at least. Got to go log my points and see how many that was! Not very healthy though.

I've still been keeping up with you ladies!

leisha - I wanted to pop out of lurking to let you know that we definitely had busy weeks like that! I found that as long as I logged and didn't go over in my points, it didn't really make a difference if I ate at home or we had to pick up out somewhere! I just had to be careful to make the right choices at the place we were picking up food. I thought I'd share!

Hi Gals! Missed everyone!

I had several nice posts all ready to go and my Ipad decided it did not want to cooperate. Darn it. . Very smart and inspirational posts, I might add! LOL

Anyway.. I've been struggling so much.. I think it's just the idea that I did not make my goal, once again. Going on vacation in 2 weeks and I'm still Fat!!!! Ugg. . but I'm trying to convince myself. .it's a lifestyle and not a diet. Which is why I can't understand why I dont' snap out of it.

either way. . I'm in it to win it. . so I have to keep pushing. I still have 2 weeks to feel less bloated I guess! concentration, planning and keeping active shall be my new motivators (along with you guys!).

IM I can't seem to snap out of it either! Here I am re-losing that same 3 pounds that I've been gaining and losing for weeks now! Months, even! I did walk two laps around my little park track this morning, trying to get started back without my legs getting sore. But.....it's going to be 72 tomorrow then freeze after that. Y'all are probably getting already! That makes it so hard to get motivated enough to get up and walk.

Me too Kristina. It's so cold and yucky here. I'm sure it is everywhere else too. Short, dark, dreary days. Ewwww. I'm doing ok on the eating part. Not so much on the exercise part. I'm not giving up though!!

Hi guys! Don't give up. If you quit now, you'll be back to where you started.. and remember when you started, you wanted so bad to be where you are now. . seriously. I am going to take this with me on vacation and I will hit the ground running . .. I just decided I'm not going to worry about it until I get back. Sometimes, I do worse when I think about dieting constantly!

I missed everyone. . I'm sorry to be MIA but I was in a dark place. . .feeling sorry for myself, pMs-ing and generally feeling blah. . . but. .I haven't given up and I will be back so I hope to see all your smiling Avi's. . The weather here is awful. . crashes everywhere so I will be so happy to see Florida!

IM.....I don't know how I can even begin to complain about weather compared to what you must be enduring now!! It was a record 18 degrees here this morning but should be back in the 70's with tornadoes again by Sunday.
I'll be glad when things calm down weather-wise. I know you will be happy to see FL!!!
