I Can Make You Thin - Paul McKenna

There used to be a few of us following this WOE - and most have dropped out - or moved on to other things.

At the moment, I just can't face thinking about what I eat so the ICMYT could be just what I need at the moment. I have previously lost 40lbs in 4 months on this WOE - which was pretty amazing...

The plan doesn't tell you what to eat - or even how much to eat - it's very much about a mindset (I will also be talking to a Theta Healer in the next week or so about mindset).

ICMYT has four tenets (Golden Rules):

When you are hungry - EAT
EAT what you want, not what you think you should have
Eat CONSCIOUSLY and enjoy every mouthful
When you think you are full, STOP eating

The last 2 can be quite difficult.

He also recommends - drinking water, moving your body and listening to a TRANCE Audio (I have the CD which is available with the book - and probably online?) The Trance Audio is based on NLP and visualization - and should be listened to daily.

It isn't difficult - but at the same time it isn't easy.

Perhaps someone else is following this program - join me here - if not this may turn into a journal!

I feel like I downloaded this before, but I never stuck with it. I really like his change you're life in 7 days program. I'm already doing Stillmans, but I'd love to hear your journal.

Well I'm not doing so well on it at the moment - but ready to get on it again tomorrow! I have to blame a little champagne! And eating too late!

Do you think the trance helps with avoiding off plan foods?

Hi Vicky,
I've been studying this concept since about July. Intuitive Eating IE, Hunger Directed Eating HDE, etc. You're right "It isn't difficult - but at the same time it isn't easy". It was much harder in the beginning and gets easier the more you practice it. One reason I really like it is I don't really fell like I fall off the wagon and have to restart or quit. I just realize I could have eaten less and that helps me eat less next time.

I don't know if I just didn't realize the wicked circle that "diets" kept me in, but the few times I've tried to diet since starting this has set me up on fooders for sure. To be fair alcohol never contributes to successful eating for me either. I haven't yet been able to practice it exclusively long enough to actually lose much on it and I keep jumping on a "diet" of sorts to lose a few so I can maintain it with this. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever learn. Your results are very encouraging. I'd love to join you! And see if I can make this a losing proposition.

I haven't heard about Paul McKenna's plan. I'll be checking it out. What is the Trance all about?

Hi Krissa

Well I checked out the plan and downloaded the app for $6.99. I figured I could use the extra motivation through the holidays. I'm getting a little burnt out on books; the audio and interactive aspects are a nice change. It compliments my new morning workouts well.

I'm using it still - but I wasn't doing too well - so I'm incorporating JUDDD as well - long haul flight next month - would like it to be not excruciatingly uncomfortable! Plus my Mum does JUDDD, so we can support each other through the holiday season.

I have the app - and think it is great.

Oh yes - I think the trance dies help.

Thanks Cindy!

I'm liking the app too Vicky. Sometimes it seems a bit needy but that seems to be keeping me in line.

I got an app on my IPhone. It has morning and evening check-ins with new things to work on every day and reminds me to focus on them throughout the day.
