Late dinner last night...almost 10 pm plus I was up all night drinking water....I've been so thirsty right before bed lately..really strange...any way I was down 2.4lbs for March.

Good morning all!


For April I will try my luck at calorie cycling, kind of like the JUDDD principle, actually more like 4:3, just not as restricting on the lower days. I will have lower days 700-1000 calories, and then higher days, around 2000 calories, trying to average 1400-1500 a day if calculated for the week. Technically that should give me a loss of about a pound a week, if not I will have to recalculate the calories. I have to try something to shake this tired body up! I know there will be big fluctuations in weight every day, but heck, I have to try, at least for this month!

Erica...i used to do that plan...always like it,it doesn't limit you to food.You can eat whatever you want as long as it portion and counted...your laughing

Joanne..not too far from your goal weight but those last 5-10lbs are the hardest to get rid of..

Good morning to all - Maryann, Erika, Autumn, Mommy, Joannew.

Maryann, that sodium is a killer - I just can't handle it and it really messes me up, too.

I am still hanging in here. Looks like everyone is doing pretty well and congrats to all of the losers.

My goal again is to be under 140 this month. I have been doing Atkins this past week along with calorie counting and seems to be working for me as I am down 3# and my clothes are really getting looser. I have just had to get rid of all of the carbs I was eating on regular calorie counting in order to really lose these last few #'s.

I don't weigh daily anymore as that is discouraging with the fluctuations that I have.

Down 1 pound today.....Erika I've been thinking about trying the 4:3 too....I did try the 5:2 and I only maintained....when I reach goal I will probably do 5:2.

Erika, I'm doing the exact same thing.. Been doing it a couple weeks now and it seems to be working for me.. Thought I would join so I could see how we both are making out with the 4:3.
I do:
Down Days (about 500-700cal) Mon/Tues/Thus
Medium Days (Wing Night!!! 1000-1500 cal) Wed/Sun
Up Days (about 1700-2300cal) Fri/Sat

I only count my Friday morning weigh in as my weight for the week since it's so bouncy, but I do weigh every day.. Just coming off of a 4lb gain from my Up Days on the weekend, finally lost that so now hopefully I can drop enough the rest of the week to show a loss!

Well, I am happy to report that I met my OCTOBER goal I broke the 185! Got to pay real good attention now since this is the point my body is really trying to hold on to.

Maryann...Great job on holding! You are so right, JUDDD is too extreme in calories, I think my updays should be 1800ish and my down days 340 or 350, that's not nearly enough to function, at least not for me. I think 2 500 calorie fasts or 3 at 800 are a lot more sustainable than 350 every other day.

Krista... to our little group! Looks like we got identical plans here!- I also started almost 2 weeks ago after coming across some threads about 5:2 on my calorie counting site. Did some more searching and found a HUGE support group on the book with the faces (LOL) There are over 9000 members and growing daily! I did some lurking, lots of reading and liked what I read. They don't make it as complicated as JUDDD does. Most of them eat 2000 calories for 5 days a week, and 500 for 2 days a week, or 2000 for 4 days, and 800 for 3 days, this should average out to about 1 pound loss. BUT, when you read all the postings (if you can keep up with them) people have fantastic results with it! I figured I give it a shot, nothing else has worked the past six months, so I really have nothing to lose but the weight!

Good morning everyone!

I have been up since 3 am, don't know what is wrong with me, I have not been sleeping well at all since we changed the clocks to springtime, shouldn't I be sleeping longer? Anyways, I am here to report my bounces Got very snacky last night, and all sweet stuff, so I think TOM on his way. The bad news is I ate too much, good news is I had prepared myself and bought sugar free candy, so at least I left the snickers bars and milkyways alone, rice crispy cereal for dinner One would think I am getting to old for this...

I did really well yesterday. I have to pat myself on the back. I went to the mall and the food court didn't get the best of me! Yayyy!!

FRI 4/4... 155 (997 cal)?? Still debating dinner/lunch.

Totally screwed up my low day yesterday..
Let my not want to cook get the best of me and ended up going for vietnamese. I know better and I ALWAYS have a gain after vietnamese but I just love it. Also doesn't help I was really retaining my fluids yesterday.. Meh.. Today is another day! Hubby is skiing so he'll be home later (and tired) and hopefully I can make today a low day instead and have a drop in time for my high day Saturday. Maybe even squeeze in a workout?!
OOOOooooooo.. Ambitious!!

Maryanne - Good luck switching over to JUDD.. Hope you find it will bump that scale for you!
Erika - Is there something in the air? Have had such a hard time sleeping last couple of days.. Very frustrating!

Krista ~ I've never eaten Vietnamese. I don't think there's even anywhere around my place that has it. What do you eat? Take out always is full of sodium. Water, water and more water!

Oh it's all sorts of bad.. Not so much sodium as chinese food but not great either and chalked full of carbs.. (calorie count isn't terrible, but too high for a low day)
I always eat grilled pork w/ springrolls on vermacelli noodles w/ Hoi sin, Hot Sauce & Fish Sauce.. Really should have at least taken out the spring rolls, but I didn't
