Goal is to get to 172 or lower overall and 177 by end of month.

Week 3
4/16, Wed. 184lb cal=?, 4/17, Thu 182.4lb, 4/18 cal=1226, Fri 181.4 cal=1459 net after 175 calorie burn on treadmill, 4/19, Sat 180.2 cal=1287

Week 4
4/20 Sun 180.4 cal=unknown, ate too much, 4/21 Mon 181.2 cal net 1335 after 200 calorie burn n treadmill, 4/22 Tue 179.8 (son's bday, went out so didn't count cal), 4/23 Wed 179.4 cal=1300 net after 207 calorie burn on treadmill / exercises, 4/24 Thu 179.2 cal=1401, 4/25 Fri 179.4 cal 1287 net, walked/ran for 200 calories and did some weights, stomach exercises. 4/26 - Sat 178.4 Fat % at 22.9% and Muscle % at 34.8%.

Week 5
4/27 Sun 178.4 cal=unk as I went to a party and ate lots of different finger foods.

Erika - awesome results Quite an interesting diet but seems to be working.

Joanne - funny I need to melt another 1.4lbs in the next 3 days. What is your end goal weight?

Tay - we've all been there and felt like that. You're with people who know what a challenge this is. So you gained a few, it just means you're starting now at a different weight. Point is to keep on trying and persevere until you find something that works for you.

Thanks! I just get way off track and just want to throw in the towel. But I won't. I'm going to the beach in September and I want to be a thinner me by then. I just have serious issues with indulging in the goodies. I can't keep them out of the house because I have a 2 yo granddaughter living here.

Good morning everyone!

Got to make today and Wednesday some good fast days, got a little too carried away with the snacking yesterday. I think I know the reason though, hormonal week approaching, not FAIR right before first of the month weigh-in!!!! Wondering if I should stock up on Midol


GOAL WEIGHT FOR APRIL: To lose 4 pounds would be nice!

APRIL 1 = 186.6 -- MAY 1 GOAL = 182.6


Going to post weight only after fast days this week (if I manage some)

Tammy...I second Patrick's comment, don't beat yourself up, and that's coming from the queen of snackers.

Patrick...This crazy diet I am doing is just a form of intermittent fasting, there are many different plans out there but this is the one by DR Mosley is the most appealing to me. I actually only supposed to do 2 fasts a week and eat at TDEE for the other five, but I figured I try to do every other day to speed things up a bit in the beginning and then slowly easy my way into 5:2. For me to lose 1 pound a week I would have to eat 1300 calories every day, I tried that and it is non sustainable for me, I also know when I do low calories like this my body gets used to the little fuel and stops losing all together after the initial water weight drop. I tried it all the past 8-9 months, and the intermittent fasting seems to be the first thing that has shifted a few pounds. What really blows my mind though is that I can wear a pair pants I have not worn since last summer, I could not get them past my thighs, and now I am not only wearing them, they are getting to loose!

Anticipating on going up several pounds these next few days, I can feel the "bloat" rolling in. Not going to let it bother me but just ride it out and continue my daily calorie rotations, not like I have a choice anyway

Good luck to all with todays weigh-in! My official recording day is every first of the month, which gives me one more fast to throw in. Not going to be easy since the "bloat boat" got me craving all kind of sweets and salty things. VERY tough week ahead of me, but I WILL get through!

That's TOM 3 times this month - This hormone swings are really screwing with my weight, and clearly my eating as I seem to be doing about 300-400cal more than usual on my weekdays.

Goal is to get to 172 or lower overall and 177 by end of month.

Week 3
4/16, Wed. 184lb cal=?, 4/17, Thu 182.4lb, 4/18 cal=1226, Fri 181.4 cal=1459 net after 175 calorie burn on treadmill, 4/19, Sat 180.2 cal=1287

Week 4
4/20 Sun 180.4 cal=unknown, ate too much, 4/21 Mon 181.2 cal net 1335 after 200 calorie burn n treadmill, 4/22 Tue 179.8 (son's bday, went out so didn't count cal), 4/23 Wed 179.4 cal=1300 net after 207 calorie burn on treadmill / exercises, 4/24 Thu 179.2 cal=1401, 4/25 Fri 179.4 cal 1287 net, walked/ran for 200 calories and did some weights, stomach exercises. 4/26 - Sat 178.4 Fat % at 22.9% and Muscle % at 34.8%.

Week 5
4/27 Sun 178.4 cal=unk as I went to a party and ate lots of different finger foods. 4/28 Mon 177.8 cal 1439, 4/29 Tue 177.6 cal 1222 net after 175 cal. treadmill burn. 4/30 Wed 176.6 cal 1118 (when I awoke I was 177.8 cause despite the low calorie intake I was very lethargic yesterday, so to make goal I mowed a good sized yard (it really needed it) in the hot sun without drinking / eating and weighed in again )

Oh, looks like we're counting May 1st as our final weigh day for April, works for me.

Alrighty then, one last day, have an extra weigh day Mommygates so still can drop that last little bit!

Krista...I can feel your pain, hormones are pure evil and make it so hard for a lot of women to lose weight. From the unbearable food cravings to the masses of water we can retain during this time. Hang in there, I am right there with you!

Mommy...Congratulations on meeting your goal! You have done fabulous!!! And thanks to your positive vibes I have been sticking to plan!

Patrick...Congratulations on meeting goal! I bet you will make final goal in May!
I don't know how the others document their losses, I think they take the last of the month and then start with new weight on the first. I like to take weight on the first of each month because I keep a journal, started that when I first began my "little" weight loss journey in December of 2011. I started at over 260 pounds back then and it kind of keeps me focused on my numbers, especially since I have been having a real bad time since last summer.


Maryann...Tammy...Autumn...Emma...good luck with the weigh-ins!!! And remember, even if we are NOT making goal, there is always a next time. This is not a race but a journey to a better and healthier us, and we are working on that every single day!

Good morning everyone!

Well, I did make goal for April, this is a first since I don't know how many moons, even WITH mother nature interfering! The next few days should be rocky, but hopefully by next week everything is back to normal I can start losing again.


GOAL WEIGHT FOR APRIL: To lose 4 pounds would be nice!

APRIL 1 = 186.6 -- MAY 1 GOAL = 182.6 ---Goal met at 181.4 for a loss of 5.2 pounds


Going to post weight only after fast days this week (if I manage some)

4-01---186.6--starting weight
4-21---189.2--2300 calories
4-22---187.8-- 550 calories
4-23---183.8--2100 calories
4-24----------- 540 calories
4-25---181.6--2300 calories
4-26------------600 calories
4-27---180.8--new low! -- 2500? Got too snacky
4-28------------550 calories
4-29---181.4---1950 calories
4-30------------last fast for the month, got to make it a good one to make goal!
5-01---181.4---

That's a loss of 5.2 pounds for April, and 7.8 pounds since I started the 4:3 intermittent fasting 5 1/2 weeks ago.
