I'm in Baltimore for a week. I went to whole foods last night and purchased food for my hotel. Fruit and meal options so I can stay on plan. Kashi blueberry waffles and a banana for breakfast.

Great idea! You need to always be prepared and not rely on what other people provide. You need to be in control of your own progress.

Thanks for creating a new one. .Much easier to follow. . Perhaps we should do this at the beginning of the month. . I thought about it but didn't want to step on anyone's toes!

Dedicated: it takes a strong person to stick to program while away. . Good job. We are going away for the weekend - mainly for the kids - and my deal comes with pizza 2 nights ..I'm going to try to really stick to something and incorporate a little more exercise. HOping that the weather holds out (it's snowing again!). . but they are forecasting 40 this weekend! Yipppeeee. .I'm ready for some fun in the sun. .not exactly a heat wave, but I'll take it. The town we are going to has a lot of little shops and things to do for the kids.. unfortunately, it also has fudge and candy and homemade pretzels and a beef factory. . OO.. I will be strong. I will be strong. .

Good Morning

I am still struggling, but making progress. I don't have time for meeting now, nor want the expense, so I will try to check in here often. I have all the material from Points Plus 2012 , but will make it due.

My biggest goal is just to eat better. I tend to reach goal, then eat junk.

Anyway, thanks Dedicated for the new thread. Good luck while your out of town. I agree with IM2 maybe we need a new one every month.

I love bacon! I buy Oscar Meyer Center Cut bacon and zap three pieces in the microwave for about 2 1/2 minutes. I love it crispy.

Even when I was on a vegetarian diet for six months, I still snuck some bacon.

Morning, Dedicated, Wiggles, Rose, Salt and everyone else

Wanted to share something with you - goal for you?:

Write down a positive health change you've made, and reflect on how you overcame any challenges.

How:

Close your eyes and remember a positive health change you have made in your life. Write down what it was, and then spend a few moments reflecting on any challenges you had to overcome to do it. The positive change could be as small as deciding to floss each day, or as big as quitting smoking for good!

Why:

We all need positive reinforcement, and what better source than from ourselves? By focusing on one change you've made to better your health and remembering the hurdles you overcame, you remind yourself that you can take on other things, too! Being successful at one thing can set the stage for others.

Isn't that a great reminder for today? I'm counting taking my vitamins, drinking my water and deciding to commit to Weight Watchers once again!

good morning everyone.

Well I woke up thinking again which diet should I do today.... What is wrong with me!

WW, is the way to go but why do I still think of doing something else.

Any way DD is taking me out for lunch I think it will be subway 6 inch roasted chicken on wheat & veg. = 8 pts. I only get 26 per day and having a hard time staying that low. Yes 49 extra per week, but want more.

Just feeling fat today

Thanks for being here for me ladies. I will be strong and stay within my pts.

Shape up - I did the same thing this morning. I was at physical therapy for my knee this morning when I was thinking of switching once again. Then I thought of you guys and how I said I was going to commit to WW for a few weeks. So I came home, ate my oatmeal and came here to post.

I keep thinking of my final goal and how I want to eat for the rest of my life. Do I want to eat meat and veggies only forever? I don't; I can't. I want a piece of fruit. I want a baked potato. I want some pasta here and there. That's what you have to decide. This is a way of life and not a diet.

It's easy for me to write this. I wish I could take my own advice sometimes.

If you can't commit for a whole month, start out with two weeks. Then tell that little demon of indecision to get lost on a daily basis if necessary.

Shape up....cut up some fruit and raw veggies, or do a veggie or taco soup. It is cool here, so we are having the taco soup. I haven't had this in a long time, and my hubby actually requested it.

Wish I could sad story, about 3 years ago riding my bike with DH in a bike path riding trail I fell off a bridge on my bike.... Bad day... I crushed my right knee tore 90% of my tends, broke my leg then rolled over and broke my shoulder.

They said I may never walk again.. Good news after 3 months on my back in bed and 1 year of PT , I had to relearn to walk, I can walk with the aide of a cane.

I have a hard time bending my knee, so no more bike riding for me and land walking is very painful. I do go once a week and do a water class at the Y.

DH bought me an elliptical which I have worked my way up to 10 min. A day at first I could not even step up to get on. I can't climb stairs, I have to do one step at a time.

I don't want any one to feel sorry for me, life is just full of surprise and I really got a bummer of a prize.

Going thought all this I made my life time WW weight, just having a hard time staying at it.

Well I made DH spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, I had none!
I will have some pop corn later = 3 pts.

Will check in tomorrow after my meeting and weigh in.

I'm really sorry to hear about your accident Shapeup. Good for you to overcome that! You have so much strength to come back from that. You give me some hope actually.

I've had chronic hip pain for almost three years now and was finally diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis. It is very similar to Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've been out of work for six months on disability. I would be literally dragging my leg by the end of the work day and cry all the way home.

I currently walk with a cane because it really is the only thing that helps with the pain. I decided to try to go back to work and not go on long term disability because being home is not helping mentally or physically. I'm hoping that by using the cane and the medications I'm on that I'll be back to my old self soon. I feel so much older than my 48 year old self.

I go back to work Monday so keep your fingers crossed for me!

On a happier note, I turned down cake and ice cream tonight and feel great that I didn't stick all that fat and sugar into my body!

Back on track finally!!! After a week of trying to get back into my WW rhythm, I lost 3 lbs. at my weigh-in Wednesday. I could have done better, but I got off-track during the weekend, so I'm hoping to learn from it and do better this coming weekend.

Shape; we eat out every week after church and I know how tough it can be! I try to always get a salad and then split something with one of my kids. I've also ordered the kids meal for myself or ordered from the appetizer menu! Of course extra water and coffee helps too. Those extra points come in handy when you have a bad day- sometimes you eat less than you realize I'm a big soup water and most non cream ones are usually pretty low points .
