Thanks NAF I appreciate your kinds words - its mostly just coming to grips with how much I am not in control of stuff sometimes... What I can do is eat right and lose weight. I am thankful I don't have/do any of the other things on the list to stop like alcoholism & smoking.

Hello everyone...

Any advise will be appreciated for Easter at MIL. The whole family is obese and on the standard low fat and high carb diet. I was asked to bring fruit and some other carb. MIL will serve ham with sugar glaze. Should I just go off plan for one meal? I really just want to call out sick.... Maybe I should take a stash of bacon in a bag and eat that when I get tempted....hmmm

I'm interested in the answer to your question as well. I'm new to this WOE and don't want Easter dinner to interfere with my results.

Tomorrow I head out for the Easter weekend. I'm excited to see family and be "taken care of" for a few days while at dad's, but I'm not looking forward to what all the Easter food is going to do to me. haha

With that said, this was perfect timing for the "whoosh" I got on the scale this week.

Since I won't be near my frenemy the scale tomorrow (Saturday is my usual weigh-in day) I'm doing it today. I lost 6.2lbs this week!

Now keep in mind, previous to this week I've been pretty bad with fast food eating and loading on the extra carbs, BUT this week I have redeemed myself obviously. I owe this to 1) only eating the food I myself prepared/not going out to eat. 2.) sticking to low-carb 100% honestly (love the new pizza recipe I found; I could live on that for the rest of the month) and 3.) adding in some cardio-- got in a jump rope workout on Tuesday, and even though I only exercised 1-day this week, jumping rope is so High Intensity the effects carry on for days afterward.

I hope every enjoys the Easter holiday weekend.

Cheers.

NAF

A great low carb pizza recipe (it's my new favorite)

This recipe came from Barbo's website WHERE'S THE CRUST PIZZA | BARBO'S LOW CARB KITCHEN

Thanks to Carol for posting and sharing this recipe. And thanks to Barbo for putting it on her recipe website!

Crust
1 (8 oz) package of full fat cream cheese, room temperature
2 eggs
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese--out of the can

Topping
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
toppings - pepperoni, ham, sausage, mushrooms, peppers
Garlic powder

Preheat oven to 350.

Lightly spay a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray. With a handheld mixer, mix cream cheese, eggs, pepper, garlic powder and parmesan cheese until combined. Spread into baking dish. Bake for 12-15 minutes, our until golden brown. Allow crust to cool for 10 minutes.

Spread pizza sauce on crust. Top with cheese and toppings. Sprinkle pizza with garlic powder. Bake 8-10 minutes, until cheese is melted.

I've made this pizza twice since finding it. So, so, so good!

NAF

Good Morning Family and a Special big to NAF (nice week buddy),

I’ve been lurking in the shadow of a bear claw incident followed by a not so low carb weekend in Virginia City. I did a HCG 2.0 mini round to lose the gain and am now back down within 2# of my lowest of the year. I did however remember why I stopped doing HCG/Low cal/low fat a couple years ago. That is a torturous way to live.

Yesterday and today I jumped back on M&E with limited calories 1000 yesterday/1200 today. This weekend I’m going to just have a low carb weekend (no more than 30 per day) and next week I’m going to alternate M&E+fat approximately 1000 calories with M&E+fat with cheese & veggie (mostly salad) options 1200-1400 calories. The goal will be to first lose the last two and then break through to a new low.

Hope everyone has a stellar and blessed Easter!

I set the timer for 15 minutes and I get in as many rounds of 100 jumps as I can. I was able to get in 6 rounds of 100 Tuesday for a total of 600 jumps.
After the 100 jumps I take a 30-60 second rest. After the rest I go for the next round and do this until the timer goes off saying the 15mins is up. At least that's what I do for a workout.

Hand hold! The parmesan and cream cheese crust holds up very well. When it finishes baking, you'd think it was garlic bread.

cool, might have that for lunch tommorrow

This should be mostly M&E friendly:
Easy Cheesy Sausage Loaf

500gm sausage meat
chopped and diced onion
1pkt onion soup
1/4 c Tomato paste
about a cup of cheese cut into cubes salt and pepper

Mix all ingredients excluding the cheese. Pack about half the mix into a casserole dish and lightly press the cheese into the meat - doesnt need to be buried. Cover cheese layer with rest of meat mix. Bake 180C/350F for 30-45 mins. I crush pork rinds and sprinkle on top for last 10 mins for added crunch as flavour. Really good with flour free gravy. Really, really good the next day if you double it.

Hello,

I was posting here a while ago, then my computer was having issues and then I broke my wrist so I stopped posting and started eating bad again... funny how those things go hand in hand for me it looks like I need the support of the threads.

Anywho I am back and I am trying to eat M&E again. I have finals in a week and I am trying to find a job because I am done school!!!! well the full time part anyways. I am hoping the boards help me and eating M&E cuts back on some of the stress I will have

Hi everyone!

NAF thanks for that note. I realized its been awhile since I was here. I was giving aThe Perfect Health Diet a try and I just don't do well with carbs, regardless of how controlled. I think I'm up 2 pounds in the last month.

Not sure I can just do M&E though. I do a little better with a bit of organic salad in the mix. I'm going to do my best to not stray from VLC. It's gotta be Primal for me. Always is in the end. I'm apparently a tough study.

Tash and I have both done M&E with a small lettuce salad or two very sucessfully. It's a lot like Atkins '72.

Hi Terri, I think that's exactly why I keep going back towards Atkins 72. That's the one that was around when I started LC.

I'm so ready to be done with this Last 10 already!

Well, I've managed to gain 10 lbs in the last 2 months, and I am honestly not all that surprised.
Ah well. Today is a new day! I hope I can lose about 3 pounds per week from this point on, and be to goal in time for summer.
I will definitely be back to daily weighing and updating!
