Hello everyone!

Popping in to congratulate all the LOSERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Maryann...You have done fabulous this week!!!

Mommy...Autumn......Both of you doing absolutely great!!!

Hope...It is good to see you back! It simply amazes me how stubborn the two of us are, and no matter how many times we fall off the wagon, we ALWAYS climb back on!! Can I say something though without you getting mad at me? I am looking at your menu for the day and I think that is the problem why you are having problems. I am not a calorie pusher, and God knows I am still dealing with my own eating issues here, but I really think you are not eating enough. You have very little to lose, not giving your body enough fuel it will fight you for every single calorie and hold on to the weight. Have you figured out how much you should be eating? I am tracking my calories online and have it set to 1500 calories, which in theory should give me a 0.3 pound loss a week, that is not much, but eating like this is sustainable in the long run, and if I cut a 100 or 200 on days I am not that hungry and/ or move a bit more the losses should be a bit more than that.
I am just mentioning this because I did very low calorie diets, that is in fact how I lost most of my weight, however, this is also what had me borderline eating disorder. After starving my body for so long I started to binge, would eat 500 calories one day and the next I would put away 5000-6000, that's right, I ate until I was physically ill, and I went through this for over 6 months, just now, the past 2-3 months my body is finally calming down, my "binges" now are around 2000, so that is way better than it was last year...

I think you are right - we are tough and persistant!! I appreciate your thoughts. I know that we have to eat enough so we won't go into starvation mode.

I have done my BMR (calories actually burned) and it is around 1000 cal. I usually try to eat between 1000 - 1200, but today is a low day for me. Got started off late
So, if I want to lose 1# a week, I would need to have a deficit of 500 calories per day.
Since I am old and short I just don't need as many calories as a young active person would.

I have "dieted" all of my life. I just love food - not very many foods that I don't like. Wish there was!! I lost 40# eating low carb a few years ago and have kept that off, but just can't get these last 10 - 15 off. I have always been told that the reason I can't get to goal is because the closer you get to goal, the more you have to cut calories. Don't know - haven't been at goal for a long time

My problem, too, is that I don't stick with a plan. I may do calorie counting one day and am away from home and then get sidetracked into trying something else. Then, when that doesn't work, I am always back to calorie counting where I should have stayed in the first place. Make sense?

Glad you are getting back on track, too, and hope we have a successful month!!

172 this month???

I tried a few low carb days and I'm back to watching those calories...I have to admit that it's the only thing that works for me. If I start eliminating food groups all together I get really grumpy if I want a few cherries or an apple I'm going to eat them and not stress out over it. Hoping we all have a great week

I can't tell you how many times I've tried low carb only for the weight to come right back on plus some....I lost a little over 30lbs in 2002 by using a smaller plate and watching portions and I have never regained it. I'm going to go back to using that smaller plate too

Well I didn't get a chance to weigh in yesterday, I had to work and when I get up (4:15 am) my DH is still sleeping so I can't get to the scale. I did place it in the bedroom on purpose so I would stop obsessing over it so much

I had two days where I ate nothing but bread, crackers, and chocolate, NOTHING else! I will have my doctor do some blood work at my next appointment in May, my hormones have to be completely out of whack, either that or I might need to have an exorcism performed on me

Congrats, Mommy, you are almost in the 40's.

Erika, the blood work might be good. I just had mine done and everything was pretty much okay, so I guess appetite and boredom have been my problems. Also, I think that some of my meds may be giving me a problem, too, as well as old age

I am on my calorie counting low carb plan. I have done pretty low carb before, but just need to count calories, too, since I am fairly close to goal and old.

A well it happens...couldn't quench my hunger...ate really bad but back on track this morning...
