Not sure what my menu today will be. I seem to do good after I eat eggs. Yesterday was my first time for steak so maybe my body does like the extra fat. I was thinking of working out a little, just treadmill/swimming.

Hope everyone is having a great day!!!!

We were at Denny's and it was just sirloin steak. There wasn't very much fat, if any on it.

Congrats on your losses!!! You are doing great!

Deb~congrats hun, you're doing so well!! Thanks for asking your hubby about my car situation...it's 11 years old, but I'm trying to hang in there since I don't have car payments anymore, and my kids still go to private school. Apparently it was my starter but the weird thing was it would start without any problems or delays, then it wouldn't start..all out of the blue and randomly (all this happened on Saturday..until then, no problems). So my mech said eventually when it wouldn't start, he thought to bang the starter with a hammer (I know, LOL) and sure enough, the car started fine again. He said he'd never seen anything like this and he was going to write this one in his 'black book'. Thankfully, G came and paid for it because I was stressing out and being hungry didn't help. I see the body bugg is worth it, good info to know so. Hopefully, you can figure out good effective ways to rev the metabolism up. I think most of us have this issue, after dieting for soooo many years.

Shebasmudder~ Wow, that's awful about that lady, and I don't blame you for speaking up about it via messaging. Sometimes I'm amazed at the amount of insensitivity some posters have, thankfully it seems to be few, and they can be right hurtful and mean. I was always taught that you could tell people almost anything, but the main focus should always be the delivery. Come on in here and post often with us. I must admit, now that my work schedule has gotten even busier, I barely have enough time to come here so I usually just check out this thread. Congrats on losing 15 lbs thus far, and being able to cut your diabetic medication in half!!

Gracie~ kudos to you for sticking it through during TOM cravings, and using that moment to go exercise! Your reward paid off with a very nice loss!! Congrats!! And you went out with your girlfriend, to Denny's and stayed on plan....with TOM?! You're doing your thing!!!

Loretta~ You are too, hun!! Congrats on losing, and sticking it through to make it through the toughest days.

I did well on Saturday, despite feeling overwhelmed, but ate off plan yesterday evening. I got into an argument with G (really minor now that I think about it ), and ate some of my boy's caramel popcorn Sooo the scale went up 1.6 lbs from Saturday's weight (didn't weigh yesterday, had to leave early in AM) so sitting at 176.6. I'm going to try to go at least 30 days as well which will add two more weeks of hhcg. I'd love, love to get at least down 10 more pounds...but I know how much slower the losses are after the first week. I have to say that the inch loss is motivating me too...my 12's which were nice and snug two weeks ago are loose again.

Congrats Loretta!! you are doing so well! Shari, I don't blame you one bit for your frustration.. none of us are perfect and we move on... You have come a long way since you started this round!!

I am motivated as all get out! I am just getting kind of hungry. I may have to adjust my dosage, or try some different foods. I don't like being hungry AT ALL!!!! Today is rough. I am going to make it, then tomorrow I am having some beef of some sort. It keeps me full longer.

Don't worry about it! You were probably in ketosis and the popcorn kicked you out, therefore you gained a little. If you jump right back on plan it will be off plus more in a few days. We're only human!! Oh, and caramel popcorn sounds so good right now!!! You know on Omaha plan, you can have a bag of that 100 calorie lite popcorn per day. Maybe have that and add a little sugar free caramel syrup

I have beef pretty much every day. It keeps me fuller and is more satisfying. The stupid chicken just doesn't do it for me at all!!!

hcg safety

I have started and stopped hcg at least 3 times. Everytime i start I see some video or read something that says how dangerous this plan is. I also see some people not eating just the 500 calories and doing well. I would like to just go through with it and just do it. Is it really safe or do I have to worry about my health with it?

Well, in my opinion, it's very unhealthy to live being overweight. I've never had any side effects using hcg, except weight loss. There is an 800 calorie plan and a lot of people basically follow their own plan. I've tried it all ways and I always do best following as closely as possible. Why did you stop? Was your health affected by it or you just were afraid it might be?

it actually was working well, but I think mentally I was making my self sick. I was losing about 1lb a day, unless I really ate something off the charts. I think somewhere in my mind I feel like that not having any fat at all cant be good. I really do a good job confusing myself. Not sure what to do. I would love to just do it, but not risking my health, as if being overweight is not bad enough

Have you read Pounds and Inches by Dr. Simeons? He explains why you are eating so little fat. The hcg wakes up the part of your brain that releases stored "brown" fat that even normal diets cannot touch. The only time your body releases this is when you are pregnant and the baby needs it. Think of someone who is pregnant and has horrible morning sickness. The baby is just fine even though the woman isn't able to eat or is throwing everything up. The hcg releases your fat stores. That's why with hcg you look like you lost 50 pounds when it may have only been 30!!!

I've done hcg on and off since 2010. I was my healthiest when I lost down to 177 and I felt awesome. The diet has been around since the 1950's so I would have to think if people were getting sick due to it, we would've heard by now!

Gracie, I know you are right. I think sometimes the internet can be evil. Too much information. I think I am going to give it one more honest try. Even for the 23 days, just to see. I dont think that the hcg can be anymore harmful than carrying this weight around. Do you do the 500 calories? I see some use regular salad dressing, is this so? I can do light ones with no problem. I wont read anything, but what is on here, because reading all the stuff has been doind me a major disservice.

Morning all! Gracie what a great response! exactly what I could not think of to reply! So many people follow the plan, that surely there would be something proven if it was actually harmful.

This morning, down another .8. My body maintains, then drops as I get near the middle then the end of my round. Still going to attempt 30 days, but we shall see. So very busy at work, I will check in later.

Forgot to add this is VLCD16 and I am 190.8! Down 14.2. Not as good as past rounds, but I am eating pretty darn good!

My advice would be to take it slow and let the protocol work. Set attainable goals like 15 pounds (before load weight) for each 23 days. That way it doesn't seem so overwhelming.

For salad dressing I've been using red wine vinegar and a splash of olive oil. The oil is not protocol at all but it seems to be fine for me. Would my losses be more without it? Possibly.... but I can't eat the salad with just vinegar

lovelymc72! Gracie gave great advice, and I too couldn't have said it better.

Gracie~TOM is a beast!!! BUT you're losing...most of the time we gain so imagine once TOM is over. You're doing so well to stick it through with all the symptoms.

Deb~Congrats!! Yes, you're be in the next decade very soon. Oh I forgot about Gracie's serenade into new decades, that's what we've been missing.

I'm down a bit, -0.6oz, 176 even. I'm starting to want more fat than I'm eating...like chicken wings and chicken thighs LOL. Last time I tried to eat thighs using hhcg, I gained so I'm skeptical to try it again...but then I wasn't using regular dressing and going rogue...

I miss the serenade's too!!! I'm hoping to get an awesome 90's style serenade in the near future

Could you make some chicken breast diced up and sauteed in a skillet with zero calorie butter spray and some Frank's Red Hot? Then use a teensy bit of bleu cheese or ranch? That actually sounds yummy, may have it for lunch It would be good over lettuce too for a yummy buffalo chix salad!

You ladies have some great ideas and advice! I love eating my chicken with Franks also. I alt between the BBQ and Franks. Just tired of chicken..

So this morning I made a nice sirloin, not too fatty, but it will last me for lunch and a small snack. I am needing meat! and FAT.. Well, I am not afraid of the fat, but it does add up in cals, and that is what I am watching the most.

I have to stay below 1000 a day, preferably less than 800. So far so good!

Gracie, sorry TOM is being so MEAN.. Hang in there, he will be on his way out soon!

Shari, congrats on 176!! Great numbers.. I can't wait to be there myself!

Loretta, hope you aren't too busy today!

More losses !! Congrats, ladies !

I always get excited when someone mentions pinterest ! I swear, I can spend hours on it ! I have pinned so many delicious low carb recipes there !

If you already have fb, you can log into pinterest with the same login. It is a separate site. Then just do a search for hcg recipes. If you see one you like, pin it. This will save it to your board and you can pull it up anytime you need it. The pictures are the best part. Also, if you see someone who has all the recipes you need, you can follow them so anytime they post something new, it will pop up and you can decided to pin it or not. There is even an app for your phone, so if you need something to do, check your app for new pins.

Another thing I do, is if I see anything on the internet I want to keep, I pin it. If the web site does not have pinterest, I just copy the url. For instance, there are bunch of great recipes on this site, but it does not use pinterest. You can still use the url to save the thread. PM me if you need more info.

Good morning ladies, oh I feel like a heel. You ladies just don't know how demanding my job is when we are so under staffed. Anywho I am still here and I am still sticking to plan. Tuesday was a week for me and I am down a total of 11 pounds Trust me the stress has been high and I have been tempted but I am trying with everything in me to just stay busy and focus on other things. Because I'm in a hurry all the time I can't respond to all the posts but congrats to everyone, no matter how big or small the losses are it all adds up. And as Shari said the inches are unbelievable. We will be some hawt chicks because spring is right around the corner. Much love to you all and lets have a good on plan day..........smooches!

Congrats Lo!!! That's some amazing losses, and extra kudos for staying on plan despite all the stress and demands of your job. Yes, we will be hawt this by spring! I'm most looking forward to wanting to go clothes shopping for the spring/summer, lately I've been avoiding it like the plague
