I am right there with you on feeling so sad reading things like that on the P2 thread. It is honestly physically impossible to gain or stall from having more than one type of vege in a meal.. I mean really??? Even Robin W said that there was no reason not to mix veges. She said he probably did it that way to isolate any problem vege for each individual. Come on people!!! come into the new century!..

AH well, as long as the purists continue to come down on folks for trying anything new, this will happen. I stay away from there. I KNOW without one doubt that this works if you follow what your body is telling you. Low cals, HCG, enough protein, and it has to work. MY OPINION!!!!
Yes, but it's the same people who have regained weight over and over and keep doing back to back rounds.

Hi peeps!! Great to see everyone having success! I'm not weighing until Friday. I feel bloated Can Dayquil capsules be the culprit? I did eat wings for dinner last night so maybe it's sodium. I'm staying on plan though so that's a win! This is usually where I jump ship and try something else

Nothing to eat yet today. Just had some coffee/hwc/splenda. I need to get to the grocery store because I'm out of everything. I need supplies!!!

I'll check back later, have to pick Erin up from preschool.

Dayquil could definitely be the culprit. In any case, you are staying on plan and not jumping ship!.. WIN WIN WIN!!!...

I swear, I am terrible about that too.. That is why I am sticking to this and not weighing daily.. (most of the time) I don't want the disappointment of the ups and downs. ANYHOO!!!! keep on doing what you are doing, it is working!..

I took it twice yesterday because of nasal congestion and a headache. It does help but I bet it's making me hold water. I didn't take it today (yet).

I really need to just relax and stay on plan. Plus I think I need a new scale. If I weigh before bed sometimes it reads exactly the same the next morning And that's after sleeping and peeing! I think maybe it remembers old readings and kind of goes with it My bday is the 14th which will mark one month on Atkins. I'm hoping to at least hold a ten pound loss for the month

Hi, ladies,
Just popping in to say hello ! There were so many of you, I got overwhelmed. Glad you guys are doing well !

I'm still maintaining. I went up at the end of April after my birthday with some not so clean eating ! It's okay because I enjoyed it and am back on track. I don't spend anytime chastising myself because I have to look at the big picture - how much weight I have lost this year and how my diabetes is under control and I am finally getting off some of these meds !

KUTGW !

My totals today:

Saturday (load day 1) = 215
Sunday (load day 2) = 216.5
4/21 (vlcd 1) = 217
4/22 (vlcd 2) = 214 (-3 lbs)
4/23 (vlcd 3) = 212 (-2 lbs)
4/24 (vlcd 4) = 211 (-1 lbs) - This day was a complete BUST! CHEATED
4/25 (vlcd 5) = 210.5 (-.5 lbs)
4/26 (vlcd 6) = 209.5 (-1 lbs)
4/27 (vlcd 7) = 208.5 (-1 lbs) = Feeling crappy. Ate off plan.
4/28 (vlcd 8) = 209 (+.5 lb)
4/29 (vlcd 9) = 207 (-2 lbs)
4/30 (vlcd 10) = 207 (BIG FAT GOOSE EGG! 0)
5/1 (vlcd 11) = 206.5 (-.5 lb)
5/2 (vlcd 12) = 205.5 (-1 lb)
5/3 (vlcd 13) = 205 (-.5) Hit goal! *but cheat day was in store for this day*
5/4 (vlcd 14) = 206.5 (+1.5 lbs) goal was short lived. Ate low carb all day.
5/5 (vlcd 15) = 206 (-.5 lb) back to vlcds today
5/6 (vlcd 16) = 205.5 (-.5 lb)
5/7 (vlcd 17) = 204.5 (-1 lb)

TOTAL (include load weight cuz it makes me feel better) = 12.5 lbs

Yep...I'll take it....I must of been delirious yesterday! LOL I don't think I have enough mixed hcg for 7 more days. Looks like a good 3? Any thoughts on me going on using hhcg? I know I will have a pretty bad weekend coming up which will make the lbs go up. I am OKAY with that. I would love to go another 2 weeks with hhcg. Altho I miss the weight lifting and exercise, I'd love to hit 199 before moving on to Atkins for a few weeks? Any thoughts?

Went dress shopping for a wedding we are attending on Friday. Of course I was pissed and felt fat LOL (nothing like dressing room mirrors to make one want to staple their mouths shut! ) Anyway, I had just about given up and I found a dress. I was tired of trying on so I told my sister "screw it. I'm buying and returning if it doesn't look good". I got home, put on my new strappy heels, put on the dress. Showed DH and he immediately said OMG YOU LOOK FANTASTIC!!! He called me his tigress! (to which DS said "you two are gross" )
Anyway, the dress is a hit.

Now how are you all doing!?!??!

They are a bit addictive . I almost ordered the 12 box from netrition last night...but thought better of having too many around the house. I pop out to hi health and buy them 6 at a time, on sale for $2.39 and $1 off if you buy 6. Almost the same price as here and I usually go each week. They're yummy though! Being a long term LCer I've tried a LOT of bars. These are definitely my favorite, low impact on the scale, no sugar alcohol issues and actually tasty!

Nice! You're pretty far in for -1lb drops!! WTG!! Several have switched to homeopathic mid round...search the older threads on the hcg page and see what the general consensus was. I can recall but do remember orders trying it. And on the dress! I always think posts like that deserve a picture with them? you're doing great!

Deb-how're things going for you? It's been almost a year since I went to HI, and I can't tell you how often I think about going back. What're you thinking these days?

I'm holding steady, 163.2 today, so 0.8 over LDW. I seem to be settling in above LDW this time, but that's probably because I didn't have that nice cushion under LDW this time. it's not bad, but I have a history of being at the top or out of my range my whole P3 and then any indulging (aka adding of carbs) puts me out of window. Any suggestions?

Good morning! I'm hanging in there, have allergies/sinus issues. My left ear is killing me probably from congestion. I took 2 Dayquil's so hoping it helps. I will probably go to the doctor if my ear doesn't start to feel better. My eating has been good but I know the meds will mess with my water retention. I need to stay off the scale til I feel better!!!

Julie ~ Don't you mean 153.2?? You wrote 163... I know you were in the 150's, claim it girl!!! Those Quest bars are yummy. Sometimes GNC has them buy 2, get one free.

Pati ~ Doing great!!! You are shrinking!

Sheba ~ That's fantastic news! Health is our main focus here and you are improving yours!!! WOOOHOOO

Hi Deb, Shari, Irene, and anybody I am forgetting

Morning everyone! I am just jumping on here for a minute to check in. All is well, so happy that everyone is doing well!

Pati! Whoo hooo on Hubby's comments... haha on your son's.. you go girl!! you are doing great, and if all you have to use without mixing another batch is HHCG, why not?

Stina, love having you post here, please keep it up!!

Gracie, hope you feel better, and yes, stay off the scale until you do!!

Julie, yep, you are in the 50's!!! not 60's silly!..

I think you are doing fine a bit above LDW.. I think this time will be better for you...

I am at the hospital waiting room while my DD has a scope, she thinks she has an ulcer so they are checking it out. She is leaving the country for a 6 week adventure next week and wants all to be well. I am sure it will!

Thanks ladies!!! She is done and loopy.. but the dr. said she had a small tear in her esophagus which was causing some bleeding.

TMI ALERT!!! Apparently when she was sick a couple weeks ago she was throwing up quite violently and it caused this tear. She then panicked when blood was showing up in her stool.. So they have ruled out ulcer and she said it is almost healed, she just has to take some meds and avoid booze and coffee.. (her 2 favorite things!) She is 25...

Anyway! I am in some real loose pants today, that were NOT loose last week! I am thrilled!!..

LOL Don't say you weren't warned! They are freaking good! They have no yucky aftertaste like some of the bars tend to have. They are flavored perfectly and deliciously which is why I can see how one can get addicted. I love that they are easy to pop in your purse and have as a back-up.

I however, didn't use it as a "back up". I actually was looking forward to trying a different flavor so I opted to have it as a lunch versus eating my chix and fruit. Obviously my fruit/chix would have been healthier but these are hearty and keep one really full! (MEH...I'll have chicken at dinner! LOL)

Glad it's mild and will heal quickly! Sorry you had to do all of that! X-rays and drs are not my favorite!

Pati-I know!! They're so yummy!! I love the choc choc chip and choc pb ones the best, the coconut ones are good too!

Yes!! Bad typo!! I guess I'm not used to the 150's anymore! 153.2... I'll take it!

I was at dd's surgeon this morning. Her left hip is hurting (she had surgery on her right hip in July). He's sending us for an MRI and if she has the same condition as last time, she'll need surgery. she's worked really hard to come back from last years surgery...I really hope she won't have to go through all of that again . I'd appreciate your prayers .

Oh NO Julie!! I was reading that in your journal, I thought it was the same hip. Many prayers for your DD!!! Such a hard age to have to go through all this, especially when she made it back from the other hip so well!.. I hope she does not need the surgery, but if she does, that she has a smooth healing and road back to recovery.

Pati-she's 13. a tough enough age as it is!

It was a really rough year last year, she was misdiagnosed and mistreated for 6 months before her surgery in July. At least this time we kind of know what she's got and can go directly to the correct treatment (surgery) which should make recovery better. . She handled it so well last time…I hope she is spared having to deal with all of this again!! Poor kid! But, if it's needed, hopefully she can bounce back. Sigh. Summer on crutches really stinks
