It's funny how tough summer has been so far for some of us. It must be all the holidays and travel! I weighed in today at 108 flat, so I'm still doing pretty well. I'd sure like to see that 107.8, even if it is just a few ounces off. I can't really complain since I cheated from Thursday to Sunday of this past week. I have been strict with myself the past couple of days, and it doesn't look like there was too much damage. The daily weighing has been very important to me in seeing what makes me retain water and what makes my day off balance. So far, still maintaining since March, which makes 5 months at maintenance weight.
Thank you. Can't believe I found you. I am adjusting to this new forum. Spaghetti squash it is tomorrow! Sounds like you are doing great. I find I get cravings when I cheat, even if my weight does not go up. Do You?

The evil scales aren't budging but ALL my clothes are getting looser, my stomach's flatter, and even my rings are slightly more loose.

I'm staying on plan perfectly, happy with my plans round food, weight, for the first time in a long while, feel like I can live with and love this WOe, getting lots of lovely veggies so my skin's glowing... but what do I think or do about those dratted scales?!

I know they're not broken (I have a backup set and also they weigh my free-weights accurately) and I know my body shape's changing.

MYSTIFIED.

If I didn't hop on the scales, I'd think this was going really well and be totally ecstatic.

The only change is I'm doing a bit more walking every day, maybe 45 minutes tops and not really fast.

Any ideas ladies?

I'd say you are losing fat and your body is adjusting....keep doing what you're doing and you'll see a loss....remember that losing inches is more important! Weight fluctuates all the time is not really a true indicator of fat loss.

Same weight again this morning. I'm ready to break this stall!
My clothes and even my shoes are fitting looser so that's a good thing. I'm wondering if I'm getting enough calories?? Maybe I'll try upping them a tiny bit to see if it resets me. I know lowering them 300 a day has not helped, so it's worth a shot to try adding a few extra. I just love experimenting with CAD. It's so easy to carry on the next day if something goes ooops.

I weighed 107.6 today, so I'm pretty happy. I was afraid I'd truly gained after the past couple of weeks of cheating, but it looks like it was only water weight.

I was reading something interesting recently that said that weight loss is never just a downward trend. It's usually two steps forward, one step back or a series of plateaus and dips. I definitely believe that the body hits weights that it wants to stay at. I always struggle to lose past 130, 120, and 110. When I finally do get past those weights, I lose weight more quickly. My body seems pretty happy at 107 for now, so I'm crossing my fingers that it stays that way!

Well, I ended up with 2 RMs yesterday. My DH's cousin passed away on the 4th of July and the visitation for him was yesterday (burial will be today). My MIL told me that there was a luncheon after the burial. We had our usual RM at lunch time yesterday and when we went to the visitation it was announced that there would be a meal after the visitation (so not after the burial). So I ended up with a second RM....

So now it's time to move forward and not worry about yesterday's meals. I am going to keep things light for a few days just because I need to get rid of the last of the puffiness from the grains I had this past weekend and because I've got houseguests coming on Tuesday and I have to plan food for that. If I keep things simple and light for the next few days I won't have to think so much about staying on plan.

151.6 this morning

Finally going in the right direction again. I was 154.8 four days ago and 153.6 yesterday. I hope by Monday I'm at least 150 so I'm just gonna take it day by day.

Congrats to everyone who is losing and also to the ones who are hanging in and not giving up.

Yay! That is awesome! Today I was 153.6 (what you were yesterday) and I'm happy with that, because I've been over 155 for quite a while. I'm so ready to be in the 140s! Let's do this!

Congrats to all you losers!

My RM today was a burger patty, small serving of a potato dish, some ranier cherries and a little bit of chocolate.

Getting a little hungry now so I'm going to heat up some leftover steak and I'll have to see what I can make for a side dish.

Still holding at 151.6.
I cheated last night. I had my usual lunchtime RM, but had a couple of drinks in the evening outside my RM. Oh well...that's part of life and I enjoyed myself.
Back at it again today

Tara1970 - I have had that feeling so many times... If I didn't step on the scale, I'd think I was doing fine. And then if the scale doesn't show me the results, I get discouraged and go off plan... And while I believe there is value to getting on the scale to analyze what food might have impacted, I think for me - it's really not a good idea. I have to lose 150+ pounds, so there's plenty of time for me later to analyze the scale impacts of food. I think the best course of action for me is to step on the scale for day 1 and then just follow the plan and stay away from the scale...

This is a difficult challenge for me. I think I will have to move my scale out of view. But I do think this is the solution for me. I am at "rock bottom" right now... at an all time high = falling off the wagon this weekend and getting back into uncontrollable eating.

I got good groceries, and I can stick to the plan... I'm going to stay off the scale for a while and see if I can get some success going.

Allison

Good luck! We're all behind you here.

I had a bad day yesterday and ended up not eating after having breakfast. I weighed 105.8 this morning, but I'm definitely not getting busy and skipping lunch and dinner again. I'm paying for it today!

Well, I'm stuck. Two weeks and I can not get below 151.6. I honestly don't think I'm eating enough. When I first started CAD I was eating lots of calories in my RM and I cut that almost in half, thinking my meals were too carby/junky. I think that was a bad decision and my body believes it's gonna starve. I did much better on high calorie/high carb. Every one of us is different. Going back to my original way of pigging out for my RM as of today. All of you healthy/lower carb CAD eaters might want to cover your eyes when I post my meals

Kat, so sorry about your bad day. When I get upset I don't eat.
I hope you made up for it today. 105 is too thin for you.

I had my CM breakfast, and now enjoying my CM lunch....
Going to see if I can wait until dinner. If I get hungry - I'll have a CM snack.

So far so good on CAD day 1!

I weighed 107.4 today. I'm maintaining nicely, considering that I have been eating terribly lately! We're starting to eat more at home, but the meals we're cooking haven't exactly been balanced. Yesterday I had tuna casserole all day, and the day before that, I ate spinach pizza for lunch and then sausage and veggies for dinner. Today we ordered in Jimmy John's, and I had a ham and cheese sub, chips, and a half of a big chocolate chip cookie.

Hope you're all having a good day!

Today's rm was about 4 oz. ribeye, med. salad with ranch, about 1 cup cauliflower with 2 T. butter and 3 Haagen Dazs ice cream bars. I won't be having anything else today as one meal a day is what satisfies me. Maybe a diet coke later.

I have houseguests till Monday so not only will I not be online much but I'm sure I won't be on plan as well as I'd like to be. Things are a bit chaotic because it's my brother/family staying with us as well as my sister. We are working on clearing out part of my Mom's house (she passed away in March) and they all live out of town so both of them here at the same time means we'll get stuff done!

Scale is inching down slowly but I'll be happy just to maintain till they are all gone on Monday!

OMG - I can't believe this happened today. After five years of eating cauliflower almost every day, many times twice per day, I got "SICK" of cauliflower!!! I'm really upset about this, because I'm not a big veggie person... Not a salad person.... Ugh!!! I do like a couple of other veggies, but I am not believing this. The thought of cauliflower is making me sick. I had to stop mid-meal this morning and not eat the rest...

I am right there with you! I am not a veggie person either. My mantra is to just eat it and get it over with, so I end up just eating a lot of spinach salads. My biggest issue with food right now is not getting enough vegeables. And I don't like cauliflower much either. I was eating it for a while, but like you, it got old.

Do you like zucchini? That's the vegetable I'm enjoying right now! That and roasted brussel sprouts. For the zucchini, I cut it into slices and then sprinkle it with olive oil and top it with parmesan, salt and pepper and bake it until the cheese is bubbly.

Hi Kat!! I do love roasted brussel sprouts. I try to buy them when they are on sale (sometimes pricey). There are some things that are "OK" like zucchini, broccoli, and green beans. I used to use spaghetti squash as a filler in things like scrambled eggs and low carb chili... I guess I need to go to the store tomorrow. What was so great about cauliflower is I actually preferred the frozen kind to fresh, so I was always 4 minutes away (microwave) from easily adding veggies to my meal. But I will get creative and try some new things. I also am ok with shredded cabbage (either with a low carb dressing or sauteed).

I used to find comfort in knowing I didn't have to think much about what to cook. I did buy some frozen spinach - I was thinking of trying your chicken and spinach recipe for freezer meals.

Still here, still stalled at 151.6 (both scales confirm) for almost two weeks now
Lost another 1/4 inch but no pounds. My clothes are still fitting looser so I guess I should be happy I'm not seeing a gain. I love being able to eat without depriving myself and I am not giving up.

I'm still hanging in there. It's been very hectic here....not as prepared as I wanted to be so my food hasn't been always on plan. I've got my 2 little nieces staying with me till Tuesday morning. My brother/SIL and my sister were also here for a few days.....we're working on cleaning and sorting at Mom's house.

Anyways, with all the people staying here and the ones coming to visit on top of that (my brother/SIL only get to this area once or twice a year and sister lives a couple of hours away), I have just been making food that was the easiest. Now that most of them are gone I can concentrate on better foods for me. Good thing my little nieces will eat most anything!

So call me crazy, but I'm thinking of rejoining Weight Watchers again. There's no reason why I can't eat CAD within weight watchers, but I'm just not following any plan faithfully... I'm thinking if I join weight watchers and count points, at least I will be controlling my caloric intake so I can stop gaining... The WW app is good too - because it encourages me to exercise. I am torn because I believe CAD is the only thing that addresses my addiction, but at the same time, not following any plan - I am continuing to stay out of control.... Going to continue to think about this.
