Hi stacy1131,

I only eat one meal a day (at 2:00 pm). It took some getting use to, but it's gotten easier. For the past few weeks I've been eating basically the same meal every day - baked potatoes with butter, ham, and cheese on top. For dessert I have a few cookies. I drink a lot of water and plain seltzer throughout the day. I also don't exercise much at all.

Hang in there, it gets easier as time goes on.

Good Morning! The weekend didn't go as planned. Our electric cooler malfunctioned on the way to our son's house so we had to toss the food and eat at a fast food place on the way there. I did fairly well with food other than sticking to the timing of the meals. I just decided it was easier to be careful of portion sizes and what food I ate rather than anything else since I didn't have what I needed for the CMs...I can't say I did great but I managed most of the time.

Today is a new day and I'll do my best to stay on track. Have to clean out the fridge and make a grocery list. I'll be having eggs for breakfast but so far that's all that's planned.

I think I got a little cocky and had a couple off plan days that caught up with me. So I'm starting over today!

Also last night my "dinner" was three huge soft pretzel sticks with cheese and grainy mustard and a large hard cider at the movies.

Today my weight was back up to 156, that is so frustrating! I think I am going to have to cut out the beer and any hard alcohol. I would say I'd give it up completely, but I do really enjoy a little wine with my dinner. So I'm just going to allow myself wine only until I'm under 150.

I need to get to the store to stock up on my yummy canned crab & chicken, those make for the most satisfying lunches.

On a good note, the exercise is going well. Now to just get the eating back under control!

Hang in there ladies!
iakaren and kitty~girl

My loss of 0.4 stuck, so it's my average for the week. I'm not complaining. 4 weeks of eating yummy RM's and I have lost 1.5 inches off my waist, 0.5 inch off my hips and 3 lbs total weight.

Yesterday
Breakfast CM- coffee w/ 2% milk
Lunch RM- Grilled salmon, lettuce and tomato salad w/ Thousand Island dressing, french fries and roll,
Two diet sodas and 50 oz unsweetened tea all day

Great job, I would be happy with that too.

I just need to stick with it, and not go off plan. As I did on Thursday and Saturday. Not wildly off, but I had alcohol outside of RM. I think that is my problem.

I guess the first step is recognizing the problem, then fixing it!

Thanks
Alcohol is not something I can enjoy with my RM for two reasons. I've never liked to drink it while eating and I wouldn't be satisfied squeezing only a drink or two into my one hour time limit. Now an hour or more after my meal is over is a whole 'nother story

I'm truly missing my Saturday nights out with the girls lately, but until I get to goal, I can't risk it. ( Unless there is a very, very good reason)

Alcohol definitely inhibits weight loss for me. I've stopped drinking until I get to goal too.

So I'm wondering if I should give up all alchohol until I at least get under 150.

I think you'll find it very helpful. I found out the hard way, through lots of trial and error, that I absolutely can't lose weight while drinking. Give it a try for a few weeks and see if it helps.

Well I managed not to have any alcohol yesterday, I really did want a small glass of white wine with dinner, but figured I'd rather lose weight than have my wine. I am going to give it a couple weeks. Also I'm going to limit my portions, yesterday I did eat pretty well on plan, but I think I just ate too much. Also when I checked my calendar, I am going to start my cycle on Saturday, so that may be a cause for water retention, darn hormones!

I'm slowly starting to lose the fluid retention I always have when traveling....another few days and it should be all gone.

Doing ok but because of the retention have no clue if I've actually lost anything or not.

I had some eggs scrambled with some cream cheese for breakfast. My RM is undecided for the moment....waiting for DH to wake up so I can find out what he wants to eat today. Dinner will be a CM of either eggs or just a salad.

153.4 for the last two days I have not eaten enough to gain 2.4 pounds!
I've got a horrible sinus infection and there is no way to take prescribed (and I assume sugary) medication only at an RM. My face is swollen and I look like I've been stung by a bee

I'm hoping to at least get back to 151 by the weekend and I can start all over with my averages. No sense in beating myself up about it.

Good luck ladies!

Hope the infection goes away soon, Karegado! I'm sure that's the reason for the scale being up.

The scale is finally moving down for me. The retention is going away...another day or two and it will be completely gone, I hope. Then I'll know the true number.

Breakfast will be eggs. Lunch (RM) will be grilled burger patties, roasted veggies and some raspberries....will also probably have a bit of chocolate. Dinner will be something light.

I ended up skipping breakfast....lost track of time and when I realized I hadn't eaten it was getting close to lunch.

RM lunch was a grilled burger patty, loaded baked potato and a small caprese style salad. Delicious!

Dinner was a few chicken legs with mustard dip.

Now to just drink more water before bedtime!

I have been staying on track pretty well......and the scale isn't moving much, but what it is moving, it is at least going down a little bit.

Last night, T-bone tasted pretty good.

EXCELLENT

I am finally down a couple #'s after a couple days of good ole portion control and no alcohol. I did get a fair amount of exercise last night, long walk with a couple of friends.

Back on track! Now if I can just steadily lose!

Congrats, losers! I had a pleasant surprise when I weighed this morning....new low number! My retention is finally gone...my feet and ankles look normal again.

Don't have my meals planned yet....I have several things to choose from so I'll wait and ask DH what he'd like for the RM. He's sort of doing this by default....

Default doesn't seem to work with my DH.

Mine hasn't been going down, but not going up

And staying pretty close to plan, but not getting in much exercise/activity.

Well, DH eats what I make at home but he also snacks on candy and eats other stuff that I don't eat....he works in a Chocolate Factory....challenging for me!

Today's lunch RM was BBQ pork with mixed veggies, a caprese style salad and raspberries with a few chocolate chips and some whipped cream. Yum!

So almost a month in, the scales are stuck @ 158 still but my waist measurements are slowly decreasing and I look and feel thinner, clothes etc are looser and I think my rings are as well, so going to keep going over the weekenbd and then do a review on 1st July, when it'll be a calendar month of CAD.

The main question nagging at me is do I keep going on a plan I love that seems impossible for my psyche to convince me to cheat on, and which eliminates any desire to break the rules because the 'if you crave it, save it' mantra kicks in, or do I start tweaking to try and see faster results on the scales, but then end up in the cycle of fast loss, frsutration, and rebound that's been my pattern a lot before?

I'm in the healthy BMI range for my height (only by 1lb but that counts) and not struggling with this, also moving away from wanting to eat all the things in my hour, eg, wanting less for dessert etc, i usually have something that's <50g carbs (my daily totals are usually <80g) then coffee with cream...

For now i'm staying with it then going to have a good think on Tuesday, any opinions or comments welcome though, esp. from anyone who's had the same pattern and same thoughts on thos plan?

150.6 this morning

I had pretty much the same thing for RM both Wednesday and Thursday.

Breakfast CM- Coffee w/ 2% milk
Lunch RM- Beef tips in a red chili pepper sauce, lots of boiled potatoes covered in the red sauce (I ate much more of the potatoes than the beef), a chocolate bar, ice cream, and diet soda.

Hoping for a new low on Monday if I don't screw up this weekend.

NICE! I would be jumping for joy too!

I was just happy to be 154 today! I did have some wine last night and it was delicious. But I took a really good exercise class and I'm starting back up on my daily walks, so I know the exercise helps too. Here's to a great weekend! My friend makes the best pizza and he is having a pizza party tonight! Yay! Then this weekend we are setting up our camper at my parents lake property. Sunday we are golfing. Perfect summer weekend

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
