Yeah I think someone's got it wrong somewhere...we are just subject to whatever the weather feels like doing at any point in time I think!

my hubby is a HAM radio operator which means he keeps an eye on solar and lunar stuff because in some magical way it affects the way radio signals bounce around earth

Anyhoo, he says we are in a cooling period because the sun isnt doing as much sunspotting this cycle. I have no idea what that means except it appears its only cooling on my side of the sun, while your side is still working fine

-1 lb today!
Still have 0.6 to go until pre-holiday weight, so I am hoping that by my birthday (Wednesday!), I will be back on track and all will be right with the world.
Same menu today so I can finish off my leftovers, although I may have two cups of the coffee. Doing a lot of work at home today :-/.

Omg... that menu looks phenomenal. What I wouldn't give for some pot roast right now. Looks like I'm headed to the grocery store soon! And I am definitely getting plenty of pickles, too!

I'm definitly NOT one of those "I think of food as only fuel" types. That's one of the reasons I do low carb, so I can be excited about my food options.

BTW love the new Avi. It's so nice to put a face with the person!

Same thing is happening on this side of the world. The east coast is about ready to go through another "polar vortex" subzero temps and out west we’re having an unseasonably warm winter in the 60s and 70s, which wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the drought that comes with it.

Today's menu:

Brunch:
2 cups English Breakfast tea, 2 teaspoon HWC, stevia
4 eggs scrambled in butter

Snack: Cafe Americano with HWC and stevia

Dinner: Steak and Shrimp Scampi

Snack: Chicken Meatballs
That's a great bit of news Erica! You're already ahead of the game!

I'm not either! I look at food as a blessing. I don't like comparing it to gasoline.
And thank you! Now that I feel like I have a little family here, I'm going to stick around

SN: I just mixed up some melted butter with truvia and have been eating it with a spoon. It tastes like real caramel! I'm sure I'm not the only person who's ever thought of it but I am extremely happy I did.

That sounds phenomenal!!! I would love if I could join you in that celebratory glass (although losing 24 lbs is not at all realistic by the 31st... haha). I will live vicariously through you!

I think tomorrow's menu will be this:
B: Coffee with 1 tb of butter and 1 tb coconut oil
L: 2 eggs with 1/2 slice of muenster cheese
D: 2 buffalo baked chicken thighs

(for my reference)
Cal: 1488
Fat: 96.6
Carb: 1.5
Pro: 144.4

Nice menu! I feel a chicken week coming on....

Thanks-- but now, I'm not sure-- I think my scale may be defective, so off to buy a better one; take the other one back to the store. It went from 185--197--200--then back to 187. Oy, vey!

We have spring weather here in Seattle. I kid you not, it's bright and sunny and 48-50 degrees out. That's incredibly warm for January. We're also having a water shortage-- we, the place of never ending rain!

My menu today:coffee, HWC, stevia

Snax: Coffee, HWC, Stevia

Dinner: Steak, Shrimp battered in crushed spicy pork rinds, and fried! Served with garlic butter.

Snack: couple of handfuls pork rinds, or chicken meatballs.

Lots and lots of water!!!!

Lots of herb tea, iced, or hot.

*
Progress; clothes feel still looser, the ring I wear is looser, waist and middle is smaller, clothes hang better. I'm wearing a skirt I couldn't wear last month, comfortably--I wear XL-1X, and everything looks better.

My energy level is much better than when I started! I happen to be a bassist in a Goth/Dark Rock band, and so yesterday-- after working all day, I had band practice till after 11PM. No fatigue! Usually, I'm beat. But I felt sharp, on task, in the groove. We've got gigs coming up in March, so I'm trying to be at my best (or at least better) by then. I don't need to be a twig-- but feeling comfortable in my own skin; feeling comfortable on stage-- that's the goal.

Anyway; I'll catch you all later; everyone seems to be doing smashingly!!!!!

Terri, that is awesome! My drops have slowed the past few days (I included cheese; why, oh why must it be a stall agent for me?!! ) I'm going to go a few days without the cheese and see if I can't get down to my lowest-weight-ever on low carb by Thursday or Friday.

I thought for sure the cheese I had yesterday would diminish my success, but for some reason it didn't. Usually it’s a staller for me too. I will try not to tempt fate and go overboard.

Jan 16 - 176.6
Jan 17 - 175.0
Jan 18 - 176.0 *had a salad tonight*
Jan 19 - 176.6 *had some cabbage and mushrooms tonight* (c25k w3d1 done)
Jan 20 - 177.0 *had some cream cheese muffins*
Jan 21 - 177.4

Added in a few carbs over the last couple days and it had a huge impact. I was still below 20 carbs/day and didn’t go off plan. Obviously, my system didn't agree with SOMETHING

Back to strict meat and egg today!

B: coffee w/HWC, sausage patty w/ 1/2 slice of cheese
L: 6 wings w/ ranch
D: pork chop (maybe with pickle - NAF has inspired me!)

S: Pork rinds if necessary.

water, water, water...i have definitely shyed away from the water this weekend also and need to get back to it!

Has anyone ever made a really good egg salad?
I've never had it before, but I have a bunch of eggs that I want to use before Friday. I'm going to put one in my tuna salad tomorrow, but I was thinking of making egg salad for lunch on Thursday.
Is it like deviled eggs? I do love deviled eggs!
