Went to bed feeling thinner.. so I weighed this morning
and I was 177 point something....getting closer to my siggy weight finally!!!!!!! I've been trying to lose those birthday celebration pounds for about 3 weeks now

Good morning everyone!

I just wanted to stop in real quick to thank everyone for the concerns about my kitty. I had to take him to the ER on Monday and he was diagnosed with liver failure, they wanted 2400 dollars for me to leave him there so he could be hooked up to fluids and force feeding tubes. Well since I cant afford to spend that kind of money on the cat I took him home to do the treatment myself, which still runs me about 600 dollars. Yesterday after work I took him back to see if it is getting better or if he had to be euthanized.

Well, he is alive, doctor said what I'm doing is working, it is just going to be a long process to get that liver functioning right again. He refuses any food so I have to force feed him with a syringe, force meds down his throat, hook him up to fluids... needless to say it has been a very stressful time. Hoping to have some calmer days ahead of me!

Still in the 177s this morning......maybe down .2...woot!!!!! lol

Erika it's so difficult when our furbabies are sick....we went through this in 2010 with our almost 19yr old kitty We were told that he had crf by a fill in vet, even though his numbers looked good....she wanted us to euthanize him then and there...I didn't believe her..a month later he still was barely eating and we took him to a different vet and she thought he had a bad tooth and needed to have it removed....once she put him out and could really look, he had cancer clear back on his tongue and nothing could be done....she called us and we decided that while he was out that she should just put him to sleep. I still feel bad.....when we dropped him off I told him goodbye and that I would see him later.....I didn't know that it would be the last time that I would see him He knew we loved him though....he had been with us since he was 5 months old...he was a good boy and we miss him

Good morning everyone!

Well it seems that my boy kitty is doing a little better, he has started eating on his own again (after I changed to "junk food", I also think he was traumatized from me syringe feeding him..But doc said food is his best medicine to get that liver working properly again.

Autumn, that is a horrible story about your fur baby, I am so sorry you AND the kitty and to go through this

My weight is way up, I have been living of canned soups and carbs, both the sodium and the carbs got me looking like a darn puffer fish Oh well no crying over spilled milk I guess... And it's not like I want/have to lose 100 more pounds, all I want is to get back in the mid 170s, 10-15 pounds and I think I'd be at the perfect weight for my body.

Hi Maryanne.....i'm back...need to do something with this weight..up to 165.2....i remembered when we were both in the 50's even 40's....the older you get the harder it is to lose....i'm hoping to be able to work on a new me...stop smoking,lose weight and restart exercising....felt so good then,,,why do we stop when things are good...it's thanksgiving...and i've got lots to be thankfull..so got to appreciated before my luck runs out and won't be around for my kids and grandkids..have a great day ladies..and thanks for accepting me back into this group...

Hubby went to the grocery store and came home with junk food....24hrs of getting into the junk food and I'm feeling My acid reflux is starting up again....the junk food is gone except for the chips, but they aren't an issue for me since I'm not a salt lover...I like the sugary stuff. The good news is that I'm still in the 170s at least Hoping we all have a Great week ladies!!!!! Remember that the Holidays will be here soon

Erika so good to hear that your furbaby is doing better....also nice drop in weight from Sunday to Monday!!!!!!!!

I hear you, Erika, about soups. I have the same problem with those unless I make my own.

Good for you, Erika, you got rid of that soup gain.

I probably won't be able to be back on here until next week, so hope all have a great weekend and look out next week - we will all get the scales to moving!!!

GAETS-I know what you mean I'm also trying to give up CC its a pain the neck.I now low carbing two days a week

Good Morning Ladies.

I have fallen off the low carb wagon and having a hard time getting back on. I am re-starting again today and will weigh in on Sunday. Hopefully, I didn't do too much damage. See you Sunday. Wish me luck!
