Great to see new additions! Welcome, ladies!!

Well, it does not look like I will make my first goal...we'll see. Like I said, even if I did half I'd be happy. That's more likely going to be the case.

As I read other threads around the forum here, I'm struck by just how many people get really hung up on the scales. It happens to me at times, too, until I said NO MORE to weighing daily. I'm post-menopausal and realize fast loss is just not going to happen for me. So, I'm watching it and being more careful than I was before. We'll see what happens by Tuesday. (The 1st.) I cannot believe it will be Oct. already so fast!

I'm in the Pacific NW where we're getting all the rain dumped on us, with quite a lot of wind! No Fall here yet. We hopped right from Summer to Winter! Of course this is a litte unusual, and this is the remnants of a typhoon in the Pacific. Somewhere.

I am trying hard to eat more fat and a bit less protein. I'm writing down what I eat but I'm not figuring out my ratios. I gather most use some sort of program that we aren't supposed to mention in the forums? I wish I knew which one was best!

Good luck, everyone! Hang tough!!

So frustrating that we aren't allowed to mention it on here, I swear by the one I use as I can log from my PC or my phone and also I have a pedometer app synched in with it so it logs my calories when I go for my evening walks

Well it's Monday and a Down Day for me, my menu for the day comes in at about 520c so if I keep to that hopefully the scale will be lower than 201 tomorrow. Seems I always end up higher at the end of challenges than at the beginning!!

I'm still same. Just spoke to my daughter and she tells me she was in the exact same position. Stuck at similar weight, 31% body fat and walking a lot. She said she stopped walking as much, went to IF with one meal a day and did two short juice fasts of 3 days. That is the only thing that moved her weight. She is at her goal weight now and quite active and healthy. Maybe we have a very slow metabolism??
I'm going to try that starting tomorrow because working this hard with nothing to show for it is clearly not the answer.

Started a fat fast Sunday and this morning I am 2.2 pounds lighter. Hope this continues! Will be doing a fat fast for 5 days, then an Atkins Induction woe for the weekends.

No movement on the scale for me. Boo.

The good news is I finished week 1 of the Couch to 5k program. I haven't run in over a year (foot surgery in January) and I signed up for a 5K in November. It feels good to run again.

No movement on the scale for me either I was really hoping for a little drop especially after a really good DD on Wednesday but oh well... I WILL be patient...

Anyone got any plans for the weekend? Wayne (the boyfriend) is at a gig on Sunday night but other than that we have no plans whatsoever this weekend and as the weather forecast is showing wet and miserable I think we may have a couple of duvet days and catch up on some movies!

Gina and Gina - stay strong! I'm sure you will experience a whoosh soon and will be reporting some nice results! I love fat fasting - down 5 pounds now in 5 days, but tomorrow will go back to regular keto (more protein, less fat) for a couple of days, so will be interesting to see how that affects the scale.

It's been raining and raining here, and chilly temps (we desperately need the rain, so I won't complain). Not sure what we will be doing this weekend. Maybe going to my parents' with the boys (5 and 3).

I usually do 5 'meals' of 200 calories or so a day, and try to eat as much fat as possible, between 80-90% of calories.

Yesterday I had:
#1 2 cups of coffee, each with 2T of heavy whipping cream and stevia.
#2 Side salad from McDonald's with full packet of Caesar dressing (no croutons)
#3 3 ounces of mushrooms sautéed in 2T of butter.
#4 Pumpkin 'cheesecake'
#5 Pepperoni chips w/sour cream for dipping

Keep going!!

Are you weighing weekly? I did daily for my fat fast, and at one point I was down almost 6 pounds, but wound up at 3.8 loss for the week. I did cheat slightly on Thursday and again yesterday...just real slight, stlll changing color on ketostix...but I gained back about 1.5 pounds the past two days. Hoping that is just water weight! I will do the fat fast Monday thru Friday till next Thursday (going to Kansas City for a convention) where I will switch to NK, and will stick with that. And I will weigh only 1 to 2 times a week.

Here's to big losses on the scale this week!! (cheers)

Down a bit. At 132.6 this a.m. I have to work so hard to lose 1/2 lb a week. Feels like Everest but I'm going to keep chiselling my weigh out. Haha.

Sorry been MIA. Having problems at work, took Monday off because I'd had no sleep and was in so much pain I was struggling to get out of bed. My boss wasn't happy because it meant her in the office by herself, went in yesterday and she didn't speak two words to me - talk about childish!!! I'd rather her say she wasn't happy or that I let her down or whatever but she actually made me feel like I was back in high school
I've got a hospital appointment today, two suspect moles one on my chest & one on my knee that I'm getting checked out - I don't like hospitals!!
Then tomorrow morning I have a disciplinary meeting about having time off even though they knew when I came back to work 2 years ago that I suffer with 3 chronic illnesses so would more than likely take more sick days than most people!!

On the up side I'm down another 0.2 lbs this morning so that's 5.4 lbs on JUDDD in 3 weeks and I really haven't been that strict. Stepping up my game now really pleased with the loss so far x

Ps all clear at the hospital don't have to have the moles removed or anything!!

Good news on the moles! I hope things work out at the office.

I have sort of good news. I joined the thread at 221. I dropped down to 220, then up to 225 (yikes). I hung there a few days then the scale finally started going in the right direction. I made it back to 221 this morning. Frustrating, but better than staying at 225 I guess.

I can't seem to NOT weigh everyday. I have tried once-a-week weighing, but sadly I used it as an excuse to overeat when I had a some time before weigh-in day.

I'm exactly the same... with JUDDD I've been weighing on alternate days on the morning of an up day but leave it any longer than that and I'm a wreck thinking oooh I can sneak in this snack here etc,.

___

Feeling on a bit of a downward spiral at the moment, done 3 weeks on JUDDD and lost 6lbs but I'm not sleeping well and constantly tired. I'm on numerous meds because of the Fibro and I'm wandering if the low calorie days are not enough to line my stomach so to speak so the meds just have a field day and cause me all sorts of problems!

Hello! As I thought, it continues to go slow, but I'll take it. Another 2.5 down though, so that works.

Gina, I hope your boss lightens up. My bosses were usually very supportive, it was the co-workers who gave me a hard time! Some of them were brutal. (I wrote in your Journal.)

I don't think I have what it takes to do JUDDD successfully. I'm afraid I'd never be able to sustain it. I never sleep well and even being on LC doesn't seem to help it. The fibro really makes it tough.

I must get out and walk, I have not been. That can help a little with sleep, as well as fitness, weight loss too of course.

Well, you guys all have a great weekend. Hang in there.

Hello all! Well I'm very late joining, but I'm in! I started September 2nd and I'm down 18 in 6 weeks, but I'm back on these boards because I know that it's going to take a lot of support to keep this up.
I lost 58 lbs 4 years ago on Wendy Chant's Conquer the Fat Loss Code, which is a carb cycling plan. The last 1.5 years have been awful, and I put almost all of it back on. So, since it worked the first time, I'm trying it again. I did some reading on JUDDD and might consider that in the future, especially if I find I'm hitting a plateau.
But my most pressing hurdle is Thanksgiving this weekend (I'm in Canada). Give me strength!

Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends.

I am finally down a pound from where I started (I joined the challenge then went immediately UP four lbs ).

So, beginning weight 221, now 220. My goal is 199 by the new year.

I did JUDDD for many months several years back. I had good success with it, but I regularly had troubling sleeping on down days. I am usually a good sleeper too.

Well I've decided I'm not going to let this beat me, I know I've been over eating on my up days.. 2000 calories seems to be a red flag to me and I want to eat EVERYTHING in sight...

Oh well, crappy weekend feeling like I'm getting a cold so have spent much of it curled up on the couch with a few cats watching 'Being Human' but now back on it with a vengeance.

I weighed myself yesterday morning (before an UD) and weighed in at 204.4 lbs - expected the bounce... deserved the bounce etc,. but my new numbers are:

O.K. time to ramp it up alittle. I gained a pound over the weekend It has been 10 weeks today and I am down 23 lb...... thats an average of 2.3 lb. per week... which is good... but at this size I am shooting for an average of 2.5 per week since I realize the smaller I get the smaller the average will get. I am the type that must have a goal to strive for or it kinda gets lost along the way and I fall back into bad habits..... Here we go.
