Meat & Eggs: Sailing in September

Hi Everyone, welcome aboard. We're all going to sail through this in September, so hi to all my buddies from previous M/E, Egg Fast threads, and Welcome to New posters. We're all here to support and help each other. Kudos on weight already lost and happy losing, life and love to all. Mae

Starting this week I'm doing a mix of M/E, Stills, FF. I'm on a six week plan for this now, and upping my exercise (mostly walking, classic aerobics, some light weights). My goal for this six weeks is 20-30 lbs, which I think is doable.

Everyone is welcome to join with their WOE of choice, variation, whatever it takes for you. We'll support each other.

But this is not just a challenge for September. Pop in and tell us how your day went, if we can help each other, or post your menus. We can all do this together. Good luck and sail through the river of losing smoothly in September. Mae

Thanks Mae! This is my first day doing meat and eggs ONLY after letting the carbs creep back in (as well as 20 pounds )! Today I'm only eating eggs and bacon...yum! I've lost 30 pounds in the past sticking to high fat and low carb so I'm hoping this woe can get me back on track.

Hi girls! Thanks for starting the thread, Mae!

After great loses April-July, I hit a slow patch in August and only lost about 3 lbs, but stayed faithful with NK & M and E. So, to get the scale moving again, I'll be strict M & Eing with you.

I always get ideas from everyone's meals, so here is my menu from today:

B: 2 egg yolks cooked in Kerrygold
D: 8 oz ground beef with two eggs

What are you all eating?

Hi April. You're welcome. I waited to see if anyone else would, lol, just jumped in. Glad to see you still losing. Hey, 3 lbs better than nothing. You'll get to doing better. Last week's results for me was only about half a pound; did better the week before but at least didn't gain! So I'm happy. September I'm aiming for more. Good luck, here for support. Mae

Good menus all.

I agree about the not gaining thing, Mae! I'd like a big loss, but will take a slow loss or stall over a gain, any day!

OPgirl, welcome back hope you're enjoying your bacon and eggs today. I always like those days! I'm sure you'll be back to your goal soon enough, good for you for taking charge!

I've checked 3 calenders and even though Im a day ahead of most of you, it is still AUGUST! Whatchadoing in a September thread already?

Well I have had a big woosh of late and so close to goal I can smell it. I have 1 month and 3 days according to my ticker to do it in before I have my surgery and cant really be strict with my food for a few weeks. Post recovery food scares me......

Good to see y'all again

Hello,

I would like to join. An egg day tomorrow sounds great So do I understand we eat a T of fat with each egg? I am doing Stillman but might do that to shake things up a little before a weekend out of town.

There are no set rules for meat and egg except a meal must consist of either or both

fat is an optional extra chosen by most of us because we like tasty food

Im going to join this too!! i am really back to eating low carb after gaining weight going primal. Go figure!! too many "good" carbs. My body just doesnt well with many carbs at all.
i have lowered my carbs down to under 30 the last couple of weeks and eating moderate protein and higher fat but still not really losing. I lost a couple pounds the first week and then nothing since. I am in ketosis but still not losing and getting very frustrated!! I workout everyday too. Running, kickboxing, lifting weights, walking. I get some type of exercise every day.
So im going to meat and eggs and fat to see if i can get to dropping a little.

Breakfast today 2 eggs, 2 oz leftover steak, a little bit of cheese cooked in 1T primal fat (half ghee half coconut oil)
Lunch is 2 boiled mashed with 3 oz chicken and 1/4 avocado and 1t olive oil.
dinner chicken and eggs cooked in coconut oil

Gotta get to work. Have a good day everyone!!

Hi ladies!
Someone was anxious for September to start!
Could it be so you can ship the little ones off to school?! Lol

Well well... I cannot believe this, but even with 2 glasses of dry white wine last night, I was down another pound!
This is Day 8 of my modified FF.
So, I have lost 6 lbs in 7 days!
After an almost 6 week stall, that is most welcome!
I am starting to notice some body parts get smaller.
This has been the only time in my life I feel sure and confident I will achieve my weight loss goals.

Question...
How long do you think I can stay on this modified FF?
I'm hoping to stay on a few more weeks.
It is quite modified- here's what I'm doing:
-- calories increased to 1330 or lower
-- fat sits at more 78% for the day
-- carbs are very low, under 10 including from cream
-- no SAs and very careful with fiber

Since it isn't nearly as restrictive as the FF Dr A penned, isn't this just like a VLC plan that some folks do for months on end?
Is it safe?
The only part that feels weird is almost no veg. I only have one serving a day, at supper.

It's just so incredibly motivating to lose so briskly since I'm normally a very slow loser.

The longest I ever did was twelve days and I felt great the whole time. The only reason I stopped was life got in the way. I would say listen to your body. If you're feeling good go for it. I'm thinking about trying to hang with it for a while too. Just started this one 2 days - 1.8 for me.

I think I am going to continue until I feel like transitioning to regular LC.

Congrats on the 1.8 loss in 2 days! That's like a pound a day!

Hi guys! I've decided today will be an egg only day. I drastically overdid it on the bacon (and pork rinds and cheese...whoops). It's that TOM so that explains the salt binge. I just know the scale isn't my friend right now.

ANYWAY, moving on TODAY...I'm posting my weight/food plan for my own accountability since I think I really need a plan in these first days! Today's weight: 123.5

Today I'm going to eat...

2 plain hard boiled eggs
4 hard boiled eggs with mayo
2 scrambled eggs with butter

I also will drink a minimum of 100oz of water. Already got 50 oz down!!

Good luck everyone and have a great day!!

Er. Ma. Gerd.
TOM just started today! Usually before TOM I have a very different hunger. I didn't get that this month. Further, I usually bump up 2-3 lbs from a couple days before until about 3 days in.
But I've been steadily losing.
Is my luck that good that I'll have another whoosh in a few days?!??
Would that ever be great!

Its ok Mae, its September here now.

its also the first day of Spring for us. yesterday I was sitting in the sunshine in SHORTS! This was pretty amazing, one because its really early over here to be warm enough for that, and two, because the last time i wore those shorts I had circulation issues. Yesterday, I got my kicks out of pulling them on and off with out undoing the buttons.

its ok. I was home alone

Me Too

New month, going to try M&E, see how it goes. The big attraction for me is in not counting anything, as I was doing well on LCHF for a couple of weeks but for me tracking is triggering behavior, due to all the past diets.

At any rate I'm still feeling much better, which was my origal goal, with weight loss as a side benefit . M&E may be just the ticket for releasing the next 5-10 pounds. So I'll see you in September!

Hello All and a special welcome to the newcomers to the board.

I lost 7.6lbs in August thanks to M&E and I am looking forward to reaching my next mini-goal before the end of September.

A big thanks goes out to Mae, tashydoll, TerriMM, RuralGirl, lilbeetle, and Gator. Your feedback and posts last month really kept me going.

Happy Losing Everyone!

hi all good news
figure share my diet up to date.. remember when last year had good success well seems to be going well now as well

I've upped my calories more fat (lots of butter over a stick so either 8 or 9 or more

and mini protein dishes sausages wth ground turkey mix not super lean cause thats just not great burger making lol
cheese pair if lean any thing lean soak in more butter yummo
heavy cream/half and half ice cream homemade lol yum

ok with eating when need and all my gut is flatter the way i feel comfortable and lost weight so eating high calorie high fat and as much as needed i'm losing again feel better then ever so glad last years eating over near 2800-3000+ did work for reason

todays goal since every meal been hitting 75-80% fat today is trying to stay near 80%
more fat more calories more yum lol

plus getting other foods like avocado to try since good source of potassium and fat lol
and bunch more ideas

avoiding lean cuts liek chicken breast and chicken all together cause i end up over eating need to eat smaller meals like last year mini meals just if its loaded with butter about stick a meal lol well 3+ tblspoons fat then its a meal lol

good thing love butter.. maybe will try getting some more bone marrow as well lol yummy

well all good leaner skinnier and eating more digestive system is running great as well

just wanted to drop in and letcha all know how i'm doing .. hope you all are well

Congrats to all the shrinking people--great job on the weight loss! Mae, great goals for the next six weeks. That really motivates me! Karai, thanks for posting your tweaks to the pie recipe. Think I'm going to have to give these a try.

That's very similar to what I did on MFF for 5 days. I'm on regular induction for a couple of days because expecting TOM shortly. My results for MFF were:

8/27: 201.5
8/28 - 9/1: 203

Waiting for the whoosh fairy to visit after TOM leaves.
