How was your weekend?

Today's Menu

IF until noon (coffee w/HWC)
L: Tuna Salad on Ezekial bread +side salad w/LC dssg (2/2)
D: Smoked Pork chops + pickled red cabbage +mustard greens (3/1)
S/C Total 5/3
Water: 80 oz
Supplements
Exercise: 1 hr cardio (5 incline @ 50% time)

I can definitely feel that extra hour from the daylight savings time change. I hopped out of bed with an extra zing, and was ready to go!
Here is something weird...I am wearing a pair of shoes that no longer fit prior to my weight loss. Over the weekend, I tidied up my closet and found some cute Clark's shoes that prior to WL were so tight on my feet that I could 'holla'. But, I tried them on one more time before I put them in my donation pile. They fit with room. I was VERY happy because they are so cute. But, I've heard that once your feet expand from weight gain, pregnancy, etc, they never return to their original size. So, I chocked it up to a loss when they wouldn't fit. I just couldn't get rid of them tho'. I am glad that I held onto 'em.

My closet is a new store. I can shop for clothes *and* shoes that I haven't worn in years. DH is relieved that I'm saving him money.

Staying motivated!

Tonight, the 'holiday party club' will get together to talk about our next event. This year, I did not draw a party. So, I am on the support team. My sister did a beautiful job hosting the harvest dinner last week. Now, we are on to a Thanksgiving brunch. A new member will host this one. I am excited to get the details on the theme and plan.

Btw, I forgot to mention that I finally received my blood work results. My total cholesterol was 177 mg/dL; HDL was 62 mg/dL; HDL was 60 mg/dL.
According to my doctor, I am now 'normal'. Okay, I will take it. I am relieved to know that all of the MCTing has actually benefited me.

Happy Hump Day!

Hi to all of my LC friends! Thanks for dropping by Onederland and for leaving such energy infused comments. Again, thanks for your kind and supportive comments.

Well, I've come down from the mountain. I'm still doing some thinking about December. I'll stay the course for the remaining of the month with a slight change the week before Thanksgiving. But, I know it will be time to move on to another phase of my WOE. The closer I get to goal ~58 lbs away, I know my body will figure out what I'm doing and go into re-group mode. This could last for weeks. I am not psychologically ready for a long term plateau. Just thinking ahead tho'. I may have to put on my big girl pants and deal with it.

Happy Monday!

L: Tomato and Basil infused turkey breast sandwich on Ezekial bread w/baby spinach, arugula, avocado spread, baby swiss & mustard

Sunday, the team moms got together and did a 1 hour hike in our conservancy. Man, I am still sore. I will definitely spend more time warming up and stretching before and after future treks. Fortunately, I took it at my pace and finished the course. When I got home, I soaked in the tub for almost an hour in epsom salts DH thought it was hilarious.

Metqa. I dropped by your journal and made a post.

The party was kool. The powers that be at LCFs deleted my original party because I probably dropped too many names in the post. So, I had to redo it. I am so thankful that I finally got out of the 200's! What a boost! Thanks for your support. Metqa we can do this...holidays and all...we can make it through.

Home treat: hot coffee w/SF syrup and HWC (2/1)
S/C Total: 10/5
Water: 80 oz
Supplements
Exercise: 1 hour on the elliptical

I made it through my elliptical work-out. It was tough getting started. The 20 minute warm-up made the difference. I also did a 20 minute cool down afterwards. I feel slightly stiff from the hike, but I'm beginning to have that feel good soreness kind of thing. You know?

DH and I are meeting friends for dinner at a local seafood house. I better not post the name, the powers that be may delete my post again. But, I have in mind what I will eat to stay on plan. Navigating these eating times is beginning to get tricky.

Well, tomorrow is huuuuuuummmmmmmmmppppppp Day, my next to favorite day.

Have a great one!

BFC-IF Tip: Hey, I haven't done a tip in a while. This comes to mind from my friend "Metqa". During the holidays, LC'ers can many times stick out like a sore thumb. For those people who don't really care what others think, gloss over this tip. But for others that can experience some self consciousness about what they are eating versus the spread offerings, then bring a LC dish or two to your affair. In addition to eating the meats, cheeses, and veggies from the spread, you will also be able to enjoy your own LC dishes. You stay on plan, meld in with the group and have a great time.

I don't know if I mentioned this, but TG will be at my house this year. Originally, my brother and SIL drew the TG holiday to host the family dinner, but unfortunately, they have to do some unexpected traveling. So, we volunteered in their stead. We just found out about the change in plans Monday. There is a lot to do. DH and I will take a couple of days off from work earlier than planned to get things ready. One of the many good things about this is that I can prepare as many LC dishes to serve as needed. This will keep me on target and, I might even be able to win over other family members to the LC-side.

Btw, dinner went well last night. While the guys talked sports and politics, I was able to share BFC with my friend. She was very interested in it. I think I have a new convert!

Happy Huuuuummmmmmppppppp Day!

Lucky you , getting to Host Thanksgiving yourself. If I did That, Almost everything would be Low Carbed! LOL. There are so many dishes or desserts that I wouldn't make for myself but would make for a group, except that no one wants "diet" food for Thanksgiving. But if they knew how good it is , they wouldn't think it was diet food at all.

Time to start Planning and Shopping!!

It's a secret...ssssshhhhh. I don't plan to tell anyone at the dinner which dish is low carb. They will never tell the difference. Well, for the most part they won't.

Yeah, last night DH and I created the menu and activities. We will do our shopping this weekend. I am really surprised at how excited DH has been about the change in plans. I expected a little push back. But, he told me that he was disappointed that we did not draw any holidays this year. What??? Well, it goes to show you that you never REALLY know what people think.

I love this time of the year...it IS the most wonderful time of the year.

I didn't weigh myself early this week. But, I'm "feeling" optimistic about tomorrow's weigh in. I did everything that I set out to do this week. I was faithful with my exercise, water, and staying below my S/C values. So, I will take whatever the scale shows me. I stopped obsessing over the plateau issue. My focus is to stay on-the-wagon so that I can maintain onederland.

The 100

I just bought his book The 100 by Jorge. It is very informative about explaining why we are so sick from hidden sugars more in depth than he has before.

I have started eating this way today. I'm not following his weekly plans that are in the book I am just trying to start somewhere to get my cravings at bay and this weight to start coming off. I don't know why I get so over whelmed trying to follow structured plans like that. I think it might have something to do with have my son and husband to cook for that really would rather have carbs so I end up cooking two dinners.

Has anyone else bought this book yet? Curious if anyone has had any luck with it so far...

Hi and welcome to the Jorge hord! There a few people at the LCFs whom have bought the 100 book. I think there is a thread somewhere that was started. I don't know if it is still active tho'.

Yeah, I know what you mean about 'structured' plans. I can follow them to a point where I get comfortable, and then I venture out on my own to make it fit my life. So far, so good.

You are welcomed to hang here to discuss the 100 if you like.

It's Weigh Day!

Well it's Day!

I'll start out with the good news. I lost almost 1 lb! Yay--0.9 lbs exactly. The bad news is that I lost 0.9 lbs. But, that's okay. I knew that the losses would try to slow.

Next week's plan is IF'ing until 6:00 pm each day, starting Monday. So, I will basically eat one meal per day. Let's see what my body will do with that curve ball.

Today's Menu
IF'd until noon (decaf coffee w/mct)
L: Grilled chicken salad w/ lc dssg + Ezekial bun (3/2)
D: DH's 'infamous' seafood stew (seafood w/ veggies--I'll not eat the corn tho'.) Ezekial rolls (8/2)
Dessert: 85% dark chocolate melted with HWC (0/1)
S/C Total: 11/5
Water: 80 oz
Exercise: 30 minutes on the elliptical
Supplements

TGIF!!!
