Today is a 0/0 day. So far, I'm not digging the alternate-day method. It is messing with my organizational stride. I'll hang in there until I see the results on Friday.

Today's 0/0 Menu
B: Decaf Green Tea +sunny-side up eggs +turkey bacon
L: Baked Chicken breast (with Parmesan coating) +small salad w/oil & vinegar dssg
D: Poached flounder fillets + arugula mix w/oil & vinegar dssg
Water: 64 oz
Exercise: 1 hour on treadmill + 30 minutes weight training w/DH

Happy Tuesday!

Weigh Day

Day!

Well there is something to be said about the alternate up/down days. I lost (2.9 lbs) on alternating the up/down downs versus doing two ups days then 2 down days. I suppose my body knows the difference...plus, this week I did more weight training.

I am very happy with this week's results. I guess for me, it's a whoosh!
Karai is calculating... That makes 89 pounds of fat GONE! Yay! So, I am 33 lbs away from my final goal!

No changes for next week...except get in gear with organizing and planning the alternate days better.

Today, Friday (0/0) up until dinner (will stay below 15/6)
Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday (10/4)
Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday (0/0)
Exercise: 30 minutes to 1 hour, 3 times/week
Water: 64 oz

Really, TGIF!

Hey Bella! WTG! BFC is so easy, and I just love the results. Btw, an early happy BD to you.

Jorge says that typically if you stick to BFC and really trim the carbs, a person can lose up to 14 lbs in 14 days. But, I think you really have to do almost 0/0 everyday. I don't know if the 14lbs in 14 days is possible...but what the heck. I'm glad it is a 'could-be-on-the-table' option.

Do you mind sharing your menus and any BFC tips?

Hi Carol,

WTG on the weight loss! Four pounds is a BIG loss too! That is what I really like about BFC...the results. They can be quick and encouraging.

I like protein shakes for breakfast also. This spring and summer, I plan to get back to them. I sometimes like to add low glycemic berries.

Your menu looks very satisfying and easy too. Don't you love the simplicity of BFC? I do. You can fit just about any meal to it.

What kind of flat bread do you eat? I need a change from the ezekial bread.

Today is a 0/0 day!
B: Eggs and chicken sausages w/decaf coffee
L: Left over salmon fillet w/small salad
D: Hamburger hash (hamburger, cauliflower, sunny-side up eggs)
Water: 64 oz
Exercise: 30 minute walk with the lunch group

Not much going on. The kiddoes are spending spring break with my brother and his family. They are a full quiver family...8 kids and ours make it 10. This weekend,we will host a cook-out for them as a thank you for inviting the kiddoes to their home for spring break. The kids love to spend time together. With post school activities, it has been hard to collab on schedules. This week has been perfect...plus, I have a couple of days off from work to help my SIL with the kids' activities.

Happy Thursday!

Weigh Day

Day!

Well, I am down 0.9 lbs today. I will take it.

But, here is my new plan-- change to 15/6 on my up days. This is going to be tricky, but I need to know what direction to take. Do I need to increase or decrease my S/C values on up days. I may end up gaining...but, I may lose too. I will risk it at least for 2 weeks to see the results.

Same cycle:
Today, Friday (0/0) up until dinner (another night out) will stay below 15/6
Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday (15/6)
Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday (0/0)
Exercise: 30 minutes to 1 hour, 4 times/week<---changed
Water: 64 oz

Happy TGIF!

Today is a 15/6 day! Plus Spring is tomorrow!!! I am sooooooooo happy! Winter has been grueling!

I am headed out to do my 30 minute walk with the lunch group. This morning before work, I headed to the gym and did 30-30 elliptical and resistance training too.

BFC Tip: A friend of mine who just started BFC recommended this tip. Go to the dollar store (Dollar Tree, Dollar General, $0.89 store, etc) and pickup some clear plastic shoe boxes to store 0/0 items or other food items separate from the family. These can be used in fridge (line with paper towels) or in the pantry. If you are really in the organizing mode, use chalk board paint to create labels. Thanks, Goldie for this one!

Happy Hump Day!!!!!!!!

Amy, thanks for popping in. Yeah, it's going slow now. But, I'm almost there at my intermediate goal of 170 lbs. Long term, I'm reaching for 140 lbs. Hopefully, I can get there by July 4th.

I missed Friday's weigh in...had to take the day off to run errands, meet appointments, and play taxi all day. I was pooped by the time I got home. Not to long after dinner, I hit the hay.

The weekend was spent with some remodeling work which is still incomplete...very inconvenient, but necessary.

But, long,,,short, I lost 1.3 lbs. So, if I lose above 1 lb this week, then I need to stay with the 15/6 and 0/0 carb cycling plan. I MAY have found my sweet spot. And, I made my 170 lb goal!!! My new intermediate goal is 160 lbs! Yay!

Same cycle:
Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday (15/6)
Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday (0/0)
Exercise: 30 minutes, 4 times/week<---changed
Water: 64 oz

Today's a 15/6 day:
B: Chicken sausage patties+egg sandwich (on ezekial bun) w/decaf coffee and CO (2/2)
L: BLCheese&T sandwich (ezekial bread) +side salad w/dssg w/herbal tea (4/2)
D: Steak, Oreida Fries, Steamed broccoli + cheese sauce (4/1)
Dessert: 85% cacoa + HWC (6/1)
Water: 64 oz
Exercise: none

It's Monday...

I "feel" like I'm making progress with Protein Power & Lifting, stronger, clothes fitting better, etc. My scale feels obliged to torture me so I have decided to turn the tables and banish it for a while. As I said I am feeling it and it’s very livable, so I’m going to give it more time (not my typical MO ) and see if the scale would like to change its attitude in a couple weeks.

Another Weigh Day

Day

I'm down 1.6 lbs. So, I"m sticking to the same plan. Me thinks somethin' is a-workin'. I am officially in the 160's. I haven't seen this weight since Noah went into the ark.

Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday (15/6)
Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday (0/0)
Exercise: 30 minutes, 4 times/week
Water: 64 oz

Not much going on...still navigating through a construction zone at home. Tonight is family night...sharing, games, food and movies. Saturday, I plan to warehouse shop with my mom and aunt. It's a good time to stock up on produce, almond milk and proteins.

Later, DH will grill-up something for friends. He has been chomping at the bit to fire up his grill. With temps warming, it's patio fare 3-4 times/week. Hey, that works out fine!

Happy TGIF and the weekend!

Hi Mae, thanks! It has been a long way to go, but I'm still chugging away at one pound at a time.

Keep jumping back on the wagon...never giving up...that's the key.

It's Wednesday...hump day!

We had a 4-day weekend to do running around and a bit of downtime. I missed posting last week too. So, I will add my "loss" to this Friday's numbers. Yeah, I had a modest loss. But, I must confess that I went over my 15/6 allotment a couple of times last week which impacted my numbers.

I am planning to change things up because I am beginning to feel bored with my options. I know me...if I get too bored with my food choices, I won't give up, but I will veer...e.g. over 15/6 a couple of days last week.

Happy Hump Day!

Quickie post-- I am down 2.0 lbs for the two weeks. That puts me only 4 lbs away from the century mark!!!! And, 26 lbs from goal!!!

I haven't changed anything yet on my program. Next week will be the start of a new tweak to the plan. I'll share that later.

This week, I will speak to my doctor's patient group again. I am really looking forward to it.

Happy Monday!

No loss last week. I'm holding steady, no complaints yet.

This week I changed my plan to include Low GI juices (two per day). I end my day with a BIG salad and some protein. On my ratios, I am averaging around 12/4.

I can already see the differences that the nutriblasts are making in my digestion and skin too.

Happy Thursday!

Weigh Day

I changed my weigh in day to Monday. I gained .5 lbs! That is crazy.

So, I am going back to a 10/4 or less ratio. It has to be the increase in sugar from the fruits that caused the gain.

My re-revised game plan is to have my juices with 80% veggies and 20% low GI fruit. Prior, I mixed 50-50% of each.

It's Monday...what can I say?

Weigh Day-->Century Mark

Day!

I lost 3.3 lbs! My ratio weight loss thresh hold is 10/4. All juices must have 80% veggies...just a tad of fruit.

I have officially lost 100 lbs since last June. And, next month will be my 1 year weight loss anniversary. I have 24 lbs to goal!

Friday, I will speak again to my doctor's patient group. We will celebrate my century mark with a low carb cooking class. Patients will be given shopping, cooking, diet options (including surgery, etc). We plan to make it an expo-type setup. My doctor, her staff and I will meet this evening to discuss the logistics, guests, etc.

This milestone came at a great time. I am so thankful that I can share my experience and knowledge with so many.

Happy Monday!
