Just eating lunch. Not really hungry but I have to go to the dr soon.
I'm having 2 hard boiled eggs, and a T of Renee's full fat Mighty Caesar!

So far, so good.

Looking at the macro pie chart is hilarious. Carb is ~1%. Lol

Decided to try meat/egg fast today...... Just had 2 fried eggs and 3 small beef ribs - no sauce. ( leftovers )

Going to make myself drink mostly plain water today too........ I usually drink SF tea all day

Can't wait to see scale tomorrow !

Ok-- so far so good. For supper, I had 2 eggs, fried in 1T coconut oil, with a pat (1T) full fat cream cheese, and 3 slices microwaved bacon, cooked til super crisp. Yumm!!

Tom is late and nowhere to be found, wondering what the scale will bring tomorrow since it gets bouncy and unpredictable around TOM.

Oh yeah, I'm also having coffee with a bit of HWC.

Hope everyone else is having an eggsquisite day!

Just had my last meal of the day - a 3 egg omelet in butter. Yummy! Interesting that I'm still managing to hit my target range for protein, but my carbs are wayyyy down.

I'm always in ketosis, but by last night I was in deep ketosis. Crossing my fingers that I drop what I assume to be water weight. With all the water and iced tea I'm drinking, I'm about ready to float outta here.

I read somewhere that the egg fast also acts like a diuretic. That'd be nice!

Day 1 of my Egg Fast is done. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but towards the end there I was getting a little "egged out." Here's hoping that tomorrow, Day 2 goes just as well.

Yes, I too have heard that the egg fast acts like a diuretic, and I must be living proof of that, I have never had to go to the restroom to go #1 so often like I did today in a very long time. LOL Sorry, for the TMI ladies.

Quick Question: Is it okay to drink things like Bulletproof coffee, or Heavy Whipping Cream when on a Egg Fast? I'm in the mood to drink a cup to fight off any possible hunger that may come to me before morning.

Geez...I hope so cuz I don't drink my coffee black. I usually use half and half but have sucked it up and switched to HWC while doing the egg thing.

I see people get tired of eggs on this, but I could eat eggs forever. Fry two up for breakfast. Deviled eggs for lunch. Eggs and bacon for dinner. Yummy.

Oh, okay. The reason I asked was b/c I didn't know if HWC or creamers would sabotage things or not. Don't get me wrong, for the past half a month I have done Meat&Eggs... I have eggs everyday for bfast, I always have even as a kid!, but today was different b/c I had eggs at every, single, meal that I ate. lol.

My 1st meat/egg day is done too.

B - 2 fried eggs with a few small ribs
L - deli meat and deviled eggs
S - Quizoids tortillas - it's a mixture of egg whites and psyllium husks ( fiber ) I did add a little cinnamon and splenda to make it a sweet pancake. YUM>>>>>>>

That still counts as egg right ? The fiber is what I need....

I think it would/should count. It's no different than someone doing only meat and eggs for the entire day and then taking Metamucil before going to bed; fiber is fiber regardless. In my opinion anyway.

That's what I'm suddenly realizing about Meat&Eggs/Eggs Fast/and low carb eating in general. You can't just mimic and copy someone else's meal plan, you have to work it/tweak it/incorporate it in such a way that it meets your own specific individual needs. I mean, how else do you expect to stick with it? At least that's how I'm looking at it these days.

Okay, I was feeling a little peculiar and not in a good way. I had a small snack of 7 cured mini pepperoni slices, a tbsp of cream cheese. Now I feel better. I am sitting around 1200 calories today and 6 total carbs including the eggs.

@Laura , that's similar to my pancakes. One whole egg per one T of flax. Add sweetener or cinnamon as desired, cook. I never thought of incorporating that..though I was entertaining the idea of floopsies. Whole egg + cream cheese is on my menu anyway, and I could make an egg western taco, or simply top with butter. Mmm!

Good morning! So, here we are at the beginning of Day 2 of my 3 day Egg Fast! Again, breakfast is super easy b/c I eat eggs everyday for bfast, always have. I did deviled eggs for lunch and dinner yesterday. Not sure if I can do that again. Scrambled seems to be my favorite way of having eggs. I drank 144oz of water yesterday.... great-day-in-the-morning! Some people won't drink that much H2O in a week!

Have a great day everyone!

Day 2 on M&E. Day 1 : fait accompli!

When I started yesterday my weight was 180.0
This morning is 178.4
I'll take it!
Everything is great, doing well. Strangely, the only thing I miss is coffee cream .. I like it better than HWC in my coffee. Oh well.

Lots of eggs and a bit of bacon on the menu today. I think dh thinks I'm crazy! Lol

Hi Atkins fan! Good job! We were posting at the same time, I think

If you're getting eggxausted maybe try different formats? Like soft boiled, or an egg only omelette with cream. Different cheeses?
I had cream cheese on mine last night and it was so good.
You could also put mayo on it and pretend its the inside of a western.

Beginning of Day 3 on egg fast (just eggs). This isn't a hardship for me because I love eggs and I don't get fancy with my diet at the best of times so the lack of variety doesn't bore me.

So far I've lost <drum roll>...nada, not a thing, not even a teeny squidge under what I've weighed for the last week. I've sat at 160 for several months, but the last week plus I've been holding fluids for some reason and am now sitting at 165. On day 3, I'm still sitting at 165 and still holding this fluid. I had hoped for the diuretic effect of the fast because I feel like I'm going to pop, but so far...<sigh>.

However, I'm sticking it out through Friday.

Yeah, variety is the key on this fast definitely. I did scrambled, boiled, deviled, and fried yesterday. I like scrambled best. Cheese tends to stall me :-( so i'm trying to stay clear of it. I'm impressed with your loss so far, and you've only been on it one full day! Hopefully I will have a good loss to report tomorrow (my scheduled weigh-in day).

If I could stay on this long enough to get to the 60's, I would be dancing in the street.

I don't think I could hang on that long, though.

I am sorry to hear that you are stuck. Are you consuming enough eggs/getting enough calories? getting enough fat? would an extra walk or something help flip the "whoosh switch"?

Aomiel, has it been hot or humid in your area? I find when it's really hot, I retain fluid.

The good news about no extra results on the egg fast means your body was in the zone before! When you're already supermodel status, there isn't going to be much, if any, loss.

i ended up at about 11pm last night scrambling 3 more eggs with some taco meat and sprinkled a little cheddar cheese on top. It was so good......

Going to try and stick to meat/eggs ( mostly eggs ) today too...... weight did not change...... we shall see.

WTG everyone on sticking with it !

I'm at roughly 1200 calories which is 400 less than I usually eat. Fats are at 71% which is about 6% more than usual. Already doing 1.5 hours of exercise each day. The rest of the time is spent running around my warehouse packing boxes, etc...somewhat physical work.

Natalia: You may have hit it on the head. I've kept consistently on low carb (not even one 'oops'/cheat) under 25gm per day since January 1. I knew I was in ketosis already. Now last night I had the symptoms of a deep ketosis (headache, *really* bad breath, etc.) so maybe I'll see a drop from here on. If not, I guess I'll just accept it as my body is already where it needs to be in. Still...I was kind of hoping for the diuretic effect of this fast...and no, it's not hot and humid here anymore. Yesterday was gorgeous in the 70's, no humidity. Last night was 49 and I kept all the windows open. Today it's low 70's, no humidity, so I would've thought this would have resolved. I've pretty much cut added salt out of my diet as well as the bacon to see if it's the sodium, but dunno.

Sure.
Eggs. Lol

I haven't really kept a good count if how many each day.
Yesterday I had 4 fried eggs for breakfast. 3 fried eggs for lunch. 1 boiled egg for snack. 3 scrambled eggs mixed with mayo for dinner. Today I've had 3 boiled eggs, chopped and mixed with salt, pepper and maybe 2TBSP butter. The first day way very similar. Hope that helps.
