Btw - I didn't pay much attention to the carbs so much as keeping below the calories with by average carbs about 50%. But they were the healthier carbs.. WEEK ONE - getting started on a full week this time and need to lose around 10 to get back to where I was before I went wild on food AGAIN!! Think I will now weigh daily and just deal with the fluctuations. Have a Dr. appt. in two weeks so am going to have to fly right now or I will be in trouble. :)

I have "dieted" all of my life and always could lose until the past year and just bounce up and down. Think it might be my meds that is giving me a problem. Don't know what else. Know others have this problem, but is so discouraging. Really watch my sodium. Yesterday, had protein, veggies, yogurt.

Please don't get discouraged as bouncing up and down is simply the way it is - the bod will do what it will do. Bounces are just a fact of life. You're staying on plan so KUTGW! You're doing great! :high5: Maybe also start taking measurements once a week???

Yes, some med's do present a problem at times in trying to lose weight. Also keep in mind if bowels are full, that will also create a bounce up.

Just checking in. Pumped up my exercise and as expected, weight is up, but only a pound today, yesterday was 1 1/2 lb up. Plan on doing twice as much today - Hopefully!

Will be interesting to see how the week plays out. Yes, staying on plan and watching calories. :)

My weight is up - probably water weight due to muscles repairing. :mad: But the good news is I'm feeling better and getting more flexible doing yoga. Hope I continue! Not having trouble with joints for which I'm grateful! :)

Joannew...Yes, it is hard. But don't be so hard on yourself. 1. Your bod is fighting to keep the weight loss. You've done great in hanging in there despite the struggle. 2. You've not done bad. Two factors are in play here. a. Your bod is requiring some of the calories/food you're eating where you think you're being bad. 2. This is what happens when one depraves oneself of certain food due to a diet. Your bod simply may want those foods. It has nothing to do with discipline.

I keep my mouth shut usually about low carb, but this is what happens when one is on that type of diet. One's bod becomes soooo sensitive to carbs one simply can't eat them without gaining that water weight. This is why I prefer the Low Glycemin Index WOE. I know most likely my weight loss would have been faster if I had eaten as strictly as Wukong, but I've been enjoying my WOE so I'll just have to go slower.

I'd like to join this group again. Used to be here. I've let myself go wild the last year and much heavier than I want to be. Eating the "healthy" foods and counting calories are the best way for me to lose and maintain. I tried the hcg very recently and got sick. I simply was not eating enough and very nauseous and dizzy a lot. Ended up even missing two days work because I couldn't even get out of bed. Its been miserable. I have gradually let the hcg get out of my system and feeling much better.

My goal is to eat less than 1000 calories and lose about 6 pounds by the end of June. We are having a Family Reunion the 29th of June and I'm ashamed I've gained so much weight. The hcg days have helped me get my appetite and eating habits under control.

Thanks for letting me get my foot back in the door. Looking forward to a successful weight loss for all. Let's reach our goals.

I did meet my goal for the end of May which was 138! Below the 139 I wanted. :)

My current weight as of June 10, 2013 is 137.6lbs!
