Did zumba for the first time last night, i was blown away by the calorie burn i got! 600 calories! i really tried to make it as hard as i could and keep myself moving!

I'm still coasting along, feeling good and maintaining. DD for me today.

We're still in a fix-here so things aren't normal. Maybe next week the guys will be finished and I'll be so proud of it.

Done with the PH and lost 3 lbs though the jury is still out until I see less fluctuatiions next week if it was worth it. Doing a DD today and hanging in there but it is tough !! Feel very headachy and irritable today. I wish DD would get easier. Hope to see 125ish tomorrow. Today weighed in at 127 & my last DD I was 126.8.

So, with the potato hack do you eat as many potatoes as you want? Just no fat/toppings with them? I've seen it talked about on the JUDDD board but haven't really looked into it.

Yes ! I did one DD and 2 UD. I bought 3 different types of white potatoes for variety. No added fat at all. If you do have fat you need to wait 4 hours before eating the potatoes. I kept my IF schedule of 8 hours eating and just had fat free half and half for my coffee. I made a big batch in the crock pot with fat free chicken broth & dry spices. The I ate them cold. From what I read those that have the best results eat them cold. You really can't over eat them. By yesterday I couldn't finish dinner which was 3 Idaho potatoes. I wasn't hungry at all just bored to death of eating potatoes

From what I've read not only do you lose but it helps with carb sensitivity which I have. I'm doing a regular DD today & Fri/Sat/Sun I'm eating normal UD. Hoping tomorrow to get to 125ish and then I know it would of been worth it since I've haven't seen 125 anything in over a month !

Done with my DD & woke up to 125.6 !! My last DD was 126.8 so a definite improvement this week. So far the PH is a winner in my book just with today's weigh in. 3 UD to follow and then Mon another DD which will tell me if I am back into a downward trend.

Woke up this morning & my weight log on my iphone is gone !! I've been keeping in all my numbers for 9 months in the notes section and never thought to save it to my computer. Oh well..

Hopefully I can see 124 in the next few weeks but if I start to see an upward trend after my 2nd DD then the following week I will do 4:3. This seems the best way to nip it in the bud. Something I've learned after 9 weeks on 5:2. I love this WOE

Sorry, I've not got time to do personals today! Am in a rush at work and after that I'll be internet free for the weekend.

DD today, is going fine so far. I am maintaining my weight nicely after my UD, so TOM has nothing on me this time, LOL!

The weekend will be two UDs and will probably involve BBQed food...

I too have come from hHCG experience. Am encouraged by your success and relate to your struggles. Are you able to lose or just maintain with the 5:2 rotation. Had a big detox on my third DD this week. Still feeling kinda flu-ish today.

Yes and no would be the complicated answer. I went into 5:2 to maintain initially and to be able to eat without keeping count of calories though I eat very "on plan". It might be because I've been dieting and vlcd for about a year and that I am just at my goal weight & my body won't go lower. It's all good though since I just wanted to maintain and have healthy numbers. Now it did improve my numbers dramatically, I mean double digit improvements all across the board

I also can maintain in the mid to high 120s on 5: 2 wthout too much effort or tweaking. My first 3 weeks I went dwon from 124.8 to 123.6 but then for 4 weeks I climbed up to 127.0 when I added back in exercise. I now know if I see an upward trend I need to add an extra DD and not let it go.

Since last week I've been going down and today at 125.6 so very happy about that ! So yes I can lose in very small increments but need to keep an eye on trends .

I've had a good week and my weekend looks good. Mr will be away and usually I planned foods to overeat on that he doesn't like, my comfort foods but all that's changed now, I never think of that anymore in at least 11 months.

I'll be out and about today, visiting with my girl friends, I hope everyone has a great day and weekend!

Not good. I'm up 1 - 1.5 lbs from last Friday (my scale doesn't read ounces and it was fluctuating). I'd like to think it's from the 3 days of 30 Day Shred that I did this week (day 3 wasn't any easier than day 1!!), but that's probably just a wish. I think I need to crack down & at least track my weekend UDs because I always seem to go nuts then.

Nice job on the loss! Even a little bit is something positive!

thats ok, we all have those weeks. i follow my weight watchers on my UDs that keeps me on track. you could try to stick to like 1500 on your UDs? this upcoming weekend for me is dinners and drinks out so im hitting the gym this weekend and next week to just going to try and maintain.

For me I was down the first 3 weeks & then I started to go up when I added exercise (but very light). Not sure if my body just got used to the WOE or if it was the exercise.

What I did learn is when the weight for whatever reason goes up or in your case no loss I need to shake things up. It could be add UD, or throw in a MD (moderate day), do a day with no carbs and only protein, or even a (mono day) where you eat one food like an egg fat/fat fast/greek yogurt day).

I think so ! It could be your body is in starvation mode. With your 2 DD that averages to 850 cal per day !!

Good morning!

It's a nice day here, overcast, slept late, even the dogs don't want to wake up.
I am having my vertigo which I have a couple times a year so I am going slow and carefully.
I cooked 2 chicken breasts in the slow cooker last night, make a modified low carb chicken no tortilla type soup with one and may make Peggy's chicken and dumplings recipe with the other. I also went back to an old favorite, flax muffin, this morning. The mind wanders back to carby recipes sometimes but I'm always glad I resisted, this truly is the way to eat for me. Last night I made the microwave brownie Alice posted in the main lobby, yummy!

I need to groom the fur babies when they wake up.

Well, no loss again this week, but no gain either. I ate low calorie(less than 1500) even on my UD's this week and still no loss. I'm not sure what to do next. I work out hard 4 days a week....I think maybe I'm not eating enough? I can't beat myself up about it, it'll drive me crazy.

I just got in from walking 18 holes of golf, which gave me 15,000 steps. Hoping to be back out on the course tomorrow, depending on the weather.

As for my eating, I'll do the best I can and just work on my fitness. The scale hasn't been my friend lately, that's for sure!

Good morning!

I am going to make some changes. I'm still not going to eat starches but going to add in more veggie's mostly in the way of soups. I'm also going to eat less fat. My weight isn't going up but it isn't going down.

This morning I made mock oatmeal with flax meal. I plan on adding in a green shake every day as soon as I get to the grocery store for spinach, kale, etc. I've just made a cauliflower soup in the vitamix with a frozen pkg of cauliflower seasoned with garlic and a quart of chicken broth with a few pinches celery powder. It tastes much like cold potato soup (Vichyssoise) It is awesome and I plan on snacking on that today with a meal tonight with Mr.

I may even eat closer to South Beach than Atkins but will still stay with 5:2. I've relaxed a bit with the 8 hour IF but plan on going back to it.

No reason not to keep tweaking, it's a journey, mentally as well as physically!

Yesterday went good, I enjoyed the soup, stayed within a mid/low calorie count very easy and still no weight loss but no weight gain and that's okay. I got back into the 8 hour If last night so I won't eat until 11 or 12.

I am feeling better, my vertigo is finally going away, know on wood.

good morning!

i hate mondays, especially DD mondays lol. i'll be glad when this day is over. i'm up 2 lbs from the weekend. not expecting a loss this week but just focusing on maintaining. i am going to try tho i'll take even .5 lb loss by friday.

Doing a DD today ! I hate Monday DD too Anyway sticking to protein only since I feel less hungry when I do that. Did start lower than last week this same time so hope to see at least a tiny bit lower. LAst week 2 DD got me to 125.6 so let's see where I end up Friday. Hoping to see a continued downward trend. If I do then I will stick to what I've been doing which is 2 DD and 1 (moderate day of either FF, PH or No carb) and 3 UD including 1 splurge meal over the weekend with alcohol.

I did so enjoy eating my "normal" meal with 2 lovely glasses of Pinot Grigio on Saturday + chips & Salsa + Chiles Rellenes. So if I can do that over the weekend and my tweaks to the 5:2 work I'll be a happy girl
