well guess who made it to onderland?!? THIS GIRL DID!! i feel amazing and am so proud of myself. Im still very motivated and can't wait to see where else this journey will take me. places i've only dreamed of for sure. Its taken me 8 months and i couldnt be happier. this is not a race its the rest of my life. slow and steady wins it, plus this way it'll really help me not have as much loose skin (i hope). I am one happy girl today and am so proud of myself for never giving up. for starting again after vacation or cheats and for not letting discouragements or set backs get in my way. I'm going to keep looking forward.

next up. 180s! hopefully by the new year.

That is just awesome Lexi!! I know how hard you are working and it is sure paying off! I have no doubt that you will reach your next goal soon!

My week on my new plan has gone well. I'm not supposed to weigh myself for 8 weeks, but I will be weighing in at boot camp on Monday to start the 30 day challenge. I feel like I have lost...even though I know its most likely water weight this first week. Although.....my hips and upper thighs feel like I've lost....my lounge around the house sweat pants are getting really baggy!

Have a good weekend everyone & keep your eye on the prize!

We had great fun at the reunion, I stayed on plan with the food, carried an Atkins Snack Bar with me for reinforcement, I needed it about 3 in the afternoon.

Fasting today. Im really tired and want to go back to bed lol. had a busy but overall fun weekend. weight was in check this am, only 1.4 up from friday i'll take that!

Morning All!

Still hanging in with my eating plan, but I think I overdid the activity this weekend as I'm exhausted! I really didn't eat much yesterday...I think that is the problem. DH & I went for a run at 6:30AM and then I played in a golf tournament and it was only in the mid 40's with the wind blowing. Miserable! All I wanted was to get home and get warm, so eating wasn't my top priority. I need to do better today. I had a good breakfast and am going to get a nice salad for lunch. That should do it!

Morning All,

Well, I made the mistake of weighing myself this morning. Only down 1 lb for this whole week of low carbing?? I had my weigh in for the boot camp challenge yesterday and was shocked at the number, so I decided to weigh myself here at home. I really thought the first week would give me a big loss. Not so much. Oh well......I have to remember I'm not only doing this for weight loss, but to get my blood sugar number down where it should be.

The Metabolism Miracle is not so much about weight loss as inches lost. There was a really active forum on here a couple of years ago and Diane would actually answer questions for us or emails. She then went to charging for everything and the group went by the wayside. The tape measure is your friend, not the scale here.

I think you said you had the book. The thing that got to most people was the amount of food needed in the second phase. They seemed to be eating all of the time and overwhelmed.

Thank you Seabreezes. I know you are right. I spent most of yesterday reading at Diane's site, Miracleville. I feel much better about everything since reading there. I will stay off the scale and just keep working the plan.

It's going to be a long day. My cat got me up at 3:30. She hasn't adjusted to the time change and to her, it was 4:30(my usual time to get up). Wonder how long I have to deal with this?

It's "Hump Day"......make it a good one!

((Hugs)) Cathy....please keep posting here and let us know how you're doing. I'm not fasting at the moment either, but I enjoy "talking" to you girls!

My plan is going well. Not sure I'm losing much as weighing is not advised. I haven't had a cheat so far. This weekend will be a test with my sister coming, but she's trying to watch carbs too, so we're in this together!

Did Day 3 this week of boot camp. I'm a tired pup. Tonight is a stretching class that I'm looking forward to. Also a chiro appt today to make sure everything is where is should be! LOL!

I think that's smart to take breaks. thats what i've done with this diet. i do like 7-8 weeks fasting then take 4-6 weeks "off" i'll miss you!

I'm having my second fast day today and definitely feeling better than i did on Monday! weighed in at 198.2 today so .6 down from last friday. really hoping to see 196.9 tomorrow but i'll take 197 at least!

No weigh in for me as this plan calls for staying off the scale. Just as well as sometimes it makes me mad to see a number you were not expecting.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I had a lazy one as I didn't get a run in as planned. My sister was at our house all weekend and we always seemed to have something better to do than go for a run! I was going to go early Sunday morning, but I was so dizzy when I got up. I blamed it on sitting up too fast out of bed, but I'm not sure that was all it was. I ate a couple spoons of applesauce that I made on Saturday morning and I felt better. Maybe my blood sugar was just too low? Anyway, all is well now.

Sis and I went out to eat yesterday and we both stayed true to our plans. She is doing reduced carb...just not as strict as I am. I had a small Filet Mignon, grilled shrimp and asparagus plus a caesar salad with no croutons. Yummy! We were so proud of ourselves for sending them away with the crusty bread and butter that they brought to our table. It's hard to believe that this is only Week 3 of my plan. Seems like I've been doing it much longer.

Started my week off with boot camp at 5:45 this morning. Freakin' hard as usual!

I'm still hanging in there. I'm feeling a bit thinner thru my mid section, but I'm not allowed to weigh myself. I may see my weight tomorrow as I go to the Dr for a physical and they always make you step on that horrid scale! I've decided that I'm going to stay on Step 1 thru the end of the year and then begin Step 2 on January 1. That extra 2 weeks will make up for any missteps I may have made in the 8 weeks of Step 1. Step 2 allows many more (good) carbs, so it isn't as tough. Although I really haven't been struggling with the very low carb. One day at a time.

I hope to be at my goal by next summer and using 5:2 or something similar for maintenance.

it went amazing. i was never super hungry and i dropped my weekend bloat plus another .8 lbs!

my advice, don't look at the dr scale. if you want to weigh then do it yourself at home on your scale that you are used to.

so yes fast day went amazing! Lost the 1.2 i was up plus another .8! so i'm already down .8 since friday. Hope to see 194 this week. fingers crossed.

hoping to get to the gym tonight if i can find a baby sitter.

Hi Everyone!

Just popping in to check on you. Lexi....you have got that scale moving in the right direction girl!! I don't think I'm losing many pounds, but I feel like the inches are going, which is what this plan is designed to do. Twice this week I have worn sweaters that I haven't worn for years because they used to suck fast to my muffin top. Now I can wear them and feel good!

I may try a pair of new jeans tomorrow. Hmmm........that could backfire on me if they don't fit well! No guts, no glory, right?
