Good morning, yes another Monday morning. I had a good weekend, guess my nachos bumped me up to 201 so no onederland today for me. Maybe this week if I don't keep sabotaging myself. My stomach is feeling smaller, feeling overall smaller. Woohoo.

Mr has a Dr. appointment this morning and I have one tomorrow morning, sure hope our reports are good. We've ended up with different Drs as all of ours have begun retiring.

We are sad, one of our friends has passed away, Mr worked with her husband for years.

You girls hang in and let's have a good day!

Every .2 counts! Friday goal is definitely doable Lexi!

My Dr. appointment went great, he took me off one of my blood pressure pills and lowered the dose on the other. My A1C was 5.5 which he said made me almost non diabetic. All other blood work was perfect and changed for the better from my last appointment.

He was okay with the fasting except was kind of leery about not eating breakfast but said evidently it worked for me so keep doing what I'm doing. He like the idea of the 5:2 since it's working. Intrigued that I considered fasting.

So thankful.

Me too, I felt I had to share it all with him. I didn't say "5:2" but said I fasted -low carb- two days a week on 500 calories or less and ate normal -lc- the other 5 days. He ever liked the 8 hour window fasting just said he didn't normally suggest not having breakfast. He asked me if I was enjoying a reward meal, of course I could say yes, ever week or so.

Lexi, I count points like you instead of counting calories and I did a weekly average this morning which includes the 2 dds and I had an average of 22.5 pp per day, Sometimes I add in a point for things which have no points. I am assigned 26 daily. Of course, I got a reminder I'm not eating enough like you did.

I'm allotted 32 points per day and i normally go over but not too much. the 5:2 allows me to be less strict plus i get workouts in 3x a week so i always have alot of activity points.

26 points a day is so low... im glad i slowly get to get there, its a slow adjustment... i know the smaller i get the less food i'll be allowed to eat to not only continue to lose but to keep off what i've lost.

Good morning!

I started out with 29 but they lowered me, of course there's still the bonus for feast days.

I've begun my exercise plan, if you will, don't laugh! I am walking 10 minutes at a time on the treadmill to strengthen my knee and hoping my hips and legs will get stronger. Next week I plan on bumping it up. It's been several years since I've exercised. So, I have 10 min. done for today. This is goal 3 for me. My first was to stay on plan a year then the 2nd was to weigh in onederland.

Let's have a good one!

Good for you Cathy! Start slowly and build up your strength. I always have a tendency to go all out and then I suffer for it.

I've had 2 16/8 days this week. I don't feel like I've lost any weight. I just need to get my portions under control. I don't have trouble with the fasting, but when I eat, I EAT! Sigh......

I'm off to boot camp in a few minutes. Another grueling workout coming up!

Have a good day!

Good morning! Thank you for the support Lori and Lexi!

All things good with me, I'm on a feast day and glad. Mr wants to go try out a new restaurant at lunch and so far I'm not in the mood, strange.

My eating changes so often, right now I'm having no desires for sweets, I just want lean meats, a very few vegetables, cottage cheese with salsa and yogurt. I am definitely not understanding this cottage cheese craving.

I have my 10 min stroll in... Good luck with the real exercise ladies and have a good day!

I had a rough day yesterday. Killer boot camp and then a bad day at work. I was a total grouch till I got home. I fasted until 11AM and then only had a Greek yogurt and some nuts. I was starving at dinnertime! I wolfed down some dinner and then went to the grocery store(ugh). When I got home I was craving an english muffin with strawberry jam, so I had one. Then about 8PM, I had a small dish of ice cream. Sigh...all that translates into being up 2 lbs from last Friday. I know it's not 2 lbs of fat, but it is still discouraging.

I took this morning off from boot camp because I've been feeling really sore & tired this week. I have a 2 day golf tournament this weekend, so I guess today's rest day won't hurt me.

Good luck to all you "losers" as you weigh in this morning!

Good morning!

Lori, it's just that infamous bounce, I have it too, I'm going up and down again but it will pass.
Congrats on the lb lost Lexi! Soon onederland!

I had a good day yesterday, was hungry all day. I cooked some yellow squash with onion and a can of rotel tomatoes and ate it with a slice of cheese, it was good. Today I'm making taco meat for lunch. We didn't eat out yesterday at lunch and I was glad, I don't know if you guys have tried the Schwans braised short ribs, but they are really good.

I saw a neat recipe from Dr. Oz. Gelatin is suppose to help you sleep and this girl came up with this meatloaf recipe using it. I'm going to try it but using really lean ground beef instead.

" Dr Oz: Jodi’s Summertime Meatloaf Recipe

Gelatin will help your meatloaf stick together better than eggs and breadcrumbs. Not only will you benefit from the gelatin, but you’ll be cutting calories. Here’s what you need:
◾2 lbs lean ground turkey breast
◾16 oz jar of chunky salsa
◾2 packets of gelatin
◾4 tsp warm water

Here’s how you assemble this summer time, healthy meatloaf.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix the packets of gelatin with the four teaspoons of warm water. In a large bowl, mix the gelatin mixture with the meat and salsa.
Put this in a 9″ by 13″ baking dish. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a thermometer reads 160 degrees internal temperature.
The nice thing about this recipe is that it uses very simple and healthy ingredients."

There is also an IF book free for download on Kindle, it's by Robert Skinner. It looks interesting and has several options on IFing.

Today is my out and about day again, will have me some fun with my friends and make a stop at CVS and the grocery store.

Hope everyone has a good day!!!

Good morning and happy Saturday!

Cathy...I downloaded that IF book and read it yesterday. It really is quite good and you can't beat the price!

Lexi...congrats on your pound loss! You have a steady downward trend...perfect.

I was going to weigh myself this morning to see if maybe it looked better than yesterday, but then I thought, why depress myself if it didn't go down or even went up? We went out for dinner last night so chances are it would be up. Sigh.....it's only a number. The pants are looser and the number on the scale is up. What? It's crazy!

Off to the golf course in an hour or so. Hoping for a good round. The weather is perfect!

Have a great weekend!

Good morning!!!

Neat about the book wasn't it, I just skimmed it but plan to read it this weekend. I loved the price too.

I understand the weighing thing. I bounced up again today. After my visiting, etc yesterday I decided to go to Walmart to get my walk in while shopping, omg, I am so sore. I knew beginning to exercise -moving , (now girls, I know I'm a wusp) I would retain fluids so it was expected. I'm going to keep on doing it though. I was told yesterday by one of my friend's trainer to use an elevation on the treadmill, it had less impact on the knees so I'll begin that today. Staring out with 1.5 maybe 2. According to 18:6, it's best to do exercise before breaking your fast so need to plan morning walks I guess. I'm not quitting, I finally got to this goal and I plan on seeing it through too!

I agree on the looser pants, that's better than a scale moving.

Well, I forgot my gelatin so no low calorie calorie meatloaf until I go back to the store. I never go to Walmart and was glad to see many things I usually get mail order. Glad I got a rotisserie chicken so my food is a done deal today.

Lexi, hope you day is good too, Lori, have fun golfing, I think I may try to find me a good movie this afternoon and veg.

Have a great day!

Good morning all!

Yesterday was good for me, Mr has decided to diet with me. It sure will make it easier. Now I won't be fixing those special dishes so often that I cook to please him. which I enjoy doing And, we'll have each other to stay accountable.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday!

Awesome Cathy! How nice that your Mr. has decided to jump on the wagon with you!

I'm going to have a low cal day today. The weekend always leaves me feeling bloated and tubby. I get lots of exercise with golf, but I drink too much beer and eat all manner of stuff. Sigh.......

Off to boot camp in a few minutes. I wonder what torture is ahead of me this morning?

Have a good start to your week everyone!

and thank you Lori, yes it will definitely help. Sounds like a fun weekend, nothing wrong with fun, life's short. Good going at bootcamp.

Life is good for me right now and I'm thankful. My food is in it's place and I am satisfied with my food plan. Eye of the round roast in the slow cooker with au jus; carrots, celery and onion roasting. I need stock in oven bags, I love those things, I favor them over slow cooker liners.

I had two "ah ha" moments yesterday. With all the wonderful health improvements I've gained since low carbing/5:2ing, I can now add another. It's so much easier to style my hair since I've lost some weight in my arms, I really noticed it yesterday.

Also, I have a Dr's stand up scale that I use ever so often to validate my weight, gift from my brother who is an avid Craigs List fan. I was using the 200 lb weight slot to weigh, last night I moved it to 150!!! Solidly in Onederland now.

I had my fast day yesterday, it was easy with boiled shrimp and salad.

Hi also to Lexi and those who post after!

Hi Everyone,

I had a lousy night's sleep and then my cat got me up at 4:15. I had planned to go to boot camp, but I just don't have "it" today. I have to drive 1.5 hrs to go work at one of our other offices today, so it's going to be a long day.

I'm starving this morning, so I'll be breaking my fast early. I usually don't eat till 11, but I'm going to have some breakfast today.

Hope you all have a good day.

Popping in to say hi! Haven't Juddd'ed in a while. Got down to 145 then had an incredibly busy summer that threw me off and restarted yesterday at 160.3. The good news is I'm down to 156.6 this morning after my first DD. I haven't decided if I'm just going to do regular juddd rotations, or 5:2 or 4:3 yet. Fingers crossed I can find my way back to the 140's.

Good morning Lori and Lexi!

I had an okay yesterday, did some more experimenting with the gluc noodles. I don't take advantage of them often enough. I think they're better if you add firm textures in with them and not much sauce, like small amounts of meat and veggies, more Asian like, that seems to be how most ppl like them also. I also like the idea Barbo shared about tossing them with a little lemon juice after rinsing. I ordered some that are part oat bran and they are really good. I plan on using them more on fast days, wow what a perfect 0 calorie food and I forget about it.

No movement on the scale this week, but it isn't going up so I'm happy.

Everyone have a good day!

Everyone have a good day!
good morning!!!
